I mean the service there was kinda lackluster but at the end of the day, the U-Haul place so not that much to expect, but still above average in my experience.

Everything was pretty standard. Only thing I was disappointed in was an extra charge on my account. I was set to return the truck at 2:30pm. I called the office and asked if it would be okay to return the truck at 3:30pm instead. Woman on the phone told me that was no problem, and actually thanked me for calling and letting them know. When I received the final invoice, there was a $30 extra charge for the vehicle being “late”. I wasn’t notified I would be charged if I was late when I initially picked up the truck, or on the call with the employee. When I called to address this, they said if I had just said that I needed the truck all day, no additional fee would have applied. So my recommendation is to just book the truck for an entire day, whether you need it or not.

On Sunday evening I arrived 20 minutes before closing but the attendant said “propane is already closed” and would not fill the tank. I had four tanks to fill and even after tell the attendant he refused to get out of his truck to fill the tanks. I gave my $80 to Lowe’s.

Tried to rent a trailer on the U-Haul app but was having trouble so called the Vickers Road U-Haul location and the gentleman I spoke with was very kind and through. He made my 8 day reservation without an issue. On pick up day (Sunday morning), the employees were prompt and helpful. They even accommodated my request to go down to the smaller size trailer last minute. The location is in a nice area and is very clean and well organized. Would definitely recommend this location, I think as long as you call ahead and confirm all your needs (dolly, pads, etc), as not every U-Haul location has the “extras” even if the app or website says they do, you will be fine!

I have had 3 great experiences with this location. With our company being as busy as we are Angelica always get us in and out and she has the skillet to juggle two customers at the same time.Big shoutouts to her.

All I got to say is that Brian Owens is the man! I got some of the best customer service that I've had in years thanks to this gentleman. He looked out for me when I was in a bad situation from renting a truck at this location, then picked up a junk Haul load and then after getting to the Orange County Solid Waste & Recycling Center on Eubanks Rd they wouldn't let me dump the 10ft truck. Not knowing what to do after all the other landfills and dumps were closed I went back to U-Haul on Vickers Rd and Brian made sure that I wouldn't get stuck with an over night fee. I cannot thank him enough for what he did for me. I'll always be greatful for that. 10 Starts for that man!

First off, the uhaul app is terrible. When I tried to check in at 5am, I signed the agreements and it said directions to find the truck would be provided next. They were not. The app froze and I could not find the truck. I chatted customer service through the app and was told to call the 24/7 number. After ten minutes on the phone, the truck information was finally provided. When I finally found the truck in a sea of 30+ trucks, the dolly I reserved was not on the truck. The customer service rep said she could refund it or I could come back to uhaul at 7 when they open to get a dolly. I needed the dolly to move and I’m supposed to drop everything to return to the store in two hours on my moving day because they didn’t put the dolly on the truck the night before??? Forty minutes after arriving to uhaul, I finally left in the truck without the dolly I had reserved and had to return at 7 to pick it up. Extremely annoying.To top it off, on my way to return the truck, I refilled the gas to the exact level it was at pickup. I took a photo of the gas gauge at pickup and at return. Shockingly when I received the emailed receipt, I was charged a $30 fuel surcharge and $17 for gas. I immediately called and was told the manager would call me the next day. They did not. I will be calling today to get my $47 in fraudulent charges refunded. If not, I will file a dispute with my credit card.This location should receive customer service training. I hope I never need to return here and will not recommend this location to others.

I change my pickup date about an hour before I was supposed to pick up my trailer. They had no problem with that and emailed my the change. They had the trailer ready to go when I arrived. They hooked it up, tested the lights and gave some brief towing advice. It really could not have gone any better.

The container is leaking. All our boxes are wet. Support just hangs up the phone on. Stay away from this place. Our couch frame is ruined!

My husband made a reservation on Thursday morning for a 15-foot truck, blankets and an appliance dolly for pickup on Sunday at 10:30. We arrived and the truck was there but no appliance dolly!! They told us they don't usually have those even though the reservation said it was all confirmed. So when asked what we were to do because we obviously needed it, they told us to call other Uhaul places to find one or pick one up on the way. I guess it was too much work for them to call or help us out. Needless to say my husband was p**ssed off. We had to end up buying a 2-way dolly from them as we were on the clock for a pick up. They did say if we didn't scratch it, we could return it. However, if you've ever moved a large freezer or refrigerator, you know that's impossible.In addition to all of that the lady at the register had to ring us up five times. Yes, five times! She punched in wrong items, she forgot items and the register kept freezing up. Absolutely ridiculous. Furthermore, they forgot the blankets so we had to go back in. So finally 45 minutes later we were able to get on the road. If you are on a schedule this is not the location for you.This is actually our second experience with this location and both experiences were bad. All though this is a clean place, the terrible customer service is not worth the hassle you will go thru.

Reserved appliance hand truck as part of our rental. Got there and they said they had none. Had to buy one. I believe that was intentional. 45 min to check out when we were the only customers.

As always, great experience. Fantastic and very helpful staff. Rental equipment is always ready and waiting for my reservation. Quick check in then they help me get going. Really enjoy working with these folks and highly recommend.

Do not do a an after hours pick up!I had a pick up set for Friday night after I got off of work. I got all the confirmations and even had someone from this location give me a call confirming. She stated that it was going to be available early if I wasn’t to pick it up earlier. I explained that I wasn’t able to pick it up earlier due to my work schedule. She asked if I watch the videos and was comfortable with the after hours pick up process. In which I did. I dowloaded the U-Haul app and watched all the tutorials and read all the FAQ.Everything seemed great… NOPE. It wouldn’t let me check in once I arrived. Once I called the hotline. The woman (who I should note is not completely affiliated with this U-Haul store but with 24/7 U-Haul ride share) stated that they (this location) did not set up a key or even have the type of truck that I had reserved. She then stated that I could either cancel my order or come back at 7 am. I choose the 7 am… even though that was super inconvenient hence why I didn’t book it for that time originally.After getting off the phone with her I received a text message that stated my reservation had been updated to Raleigh. (An hour away) So I had to call back and try and get that rectified. Pretty much that lady told me the only thing that she could do is cancel the reservation and I would just have to come back to this location in the morning and see what happens.Arrive the next morning and the girl at the desk was super sweet and very apologetic. She did see and state all of the issues that she saw on her end that the company messed up. She was the only redeeming quality of this whole experience. The only little hiccup there was I did let her know the duration of my time with the vehicle and got a call this morning that I haven’t returned the truck in time….. when I came to drop off the truck the same lady met me at the door and took my keys and told me I was good to go. I didn’t get to speak to anyone further.Needless to say I am glad that this was not a stressful major move because the inconvenience of dealing with the company was beyond awful.I’m not saying that I am the type of customer that looks for discounts or hand outs, but since this is a review and some one out there may care about how the company rectified the situation. The company did not offer any type of compensation or discount in anyway shape of form. The only apology was from the lady stated above.
