Truck Rental near Chapel Hill, NC

“I rent trailers around twice a year for work. I've tried a number of U-Haul locations in the Raleigh/Durham/Greensboro/Fayetteville area. Some have been ok - some have been absolutely abysmal. This location is by far the best one I've dealt with. They have great inventory. Thus far, they have had the trailer I reserved (unlike some other locations that have it on the website and allow you to reserve it, yet it's not there when you show up).

Staff is polite and efficient. Dropped a trailer off today in fact. Pulled in, there was an employee outside, he pointed where he wanted me to drop it, came over as soon as I stopped and unhooked the trailer, emailed me a copy of the receipt. Literally 3 minutes to drop off. I can't express how much this is appreciated after a long day moving things around.

The pickup took maybe 5-6 minutes. I realize I may have gotten lucky with timing, but I've rented from here 4 times and have not waited more than 10 minutes.

“Probably the easiest, most pain-free U-Haul experience I’ve ever had. Definitely would rent here again. Made the reservation online the day before and was nervous they might not actually have the truck on short notice (as has been the case at other locations), but turns out there was no reason to worry. Walked in and the guy in line in front of me was taken care of quickly, then 5 min. later I had the keys to the exact truck I reserved for the exact price I was quoted. It sounds really basic, but I’ve experienced challenges and inventory snafus at other U-Haul locations and went in with low expectations. The young lady and gentleman working the shop were prompt, helpful and nice. Expectations exceeded! They also had a large array of U-Haul equipment and trucks on site from the looks of it, so I imagine they’re well stocked most of the time. Thanks for helping make an otherwise stressful occasion go much more smoothly!”

“My husband and I recently undertook the stressful and daunting task of hauling one of our beloved horses from NC to Lexington KY for a specialty neuro-surgical evaluation at a world-class facility there. We’d never hauled that far, so we prepared heavily at left at 3 am. Two hours into our trip we had DEF code trouble and had to turn around. I panicked because if we couldn’t figure out an alternate solution, we’d lose our appointment that we’d waited a month a for. John at Enterprise Truck in Raleigh met us as he unlocked the doors first thing in the morning, and immediately got on the phone to find something to haul our large trailer. He brainstormed with Justin, at the Durham location, and sent us straight there - knowing we were now on a major time crunch. Justin was warm and empathetic. He breezed through the admin process, discounted what he could (knowing our personal truck now suited a repair bill) and sent us on our way with a fully capable, brand new Ram 3500 dually - in record time. To John, Justin and Enterprise-Truck I’m sure they were just doing their jobs. To us, they literally SAVED THE DAY, and my horse. They reciprocated the same sense of urgency I know we were probably radiating, and were warm and kind from pick up, to drop off. I wish I could give 100 stars and I’ll recommend them time and time again.”

“Reserved 12’ truck. Truck is clean, I drove 500 miles without any concern. Truck backside shutter has lock holder. Easy to drive on any roads. 12’ truck has four wheels. Also reserved hand truck which made moving fast.”
