It's quirky, it's cool, it's personal and that's the soul of Carrboro. They take good care of their customers.”

“Saw the employee get harassed by another smoke shop manager from down the street.

The other day I came in with my family and noticed an employee from the smoke shop a few doors down come in to buy products (I shop there too and recognized him as the manager immediately)
When the cashier Tanner asked to scan his ID, the customer pulled away and got rude immediately saying he didn’t have to scan it.
Tanner was very polite with the upset customer and explained that unfortunately on his pos system screen, it wouldn’t let him proceed. The man accused Tanner of lying to which Tanner replied by showing the screen itself, proving that he did in fact need to scan the ID card. As I recall, scanning the ID is the only true way to determine if an ID is fake, but I digress.

Tanner eventually stated to the customer that he had other patrons to serve and that if he was going to be difficult that he could get his products somewhere else.
Loved the professionalism from Tanner.

And after seeing the way that other smoke shop sent an employee here to cause a problem so they could leave a bad review, I will ONLY be shopping high life from now on.

Seeing that guys bad review about Tanner before I could even commend his professionalism breaks my heart.

Some people truly just enjoy trying to bring other down.
