This space is amazing, novice or experienced Singers, Kareoke, future or current Pod Casters (yes! An entire space downstairs for interviewing recording etc ! -super cool) I hear the owners make killer expresso martinis.. The Pitch (next to Carolina Brewery) is just getting going! Try for fun -sing or spectate. (Video is goofing off- all imaging is just the upstairs!) (hours and events vary)

Great staff, event space, and coffee shop. They also have creator studios with lots of high tech equipment. Highly recommend visiting the Pitch if you are in Chapel Hill

Like the coffee. However you need to have a functioning men's toilet (none in bathroom marked Men) and the one in the non-gender specific bathroom is not functioning. Also no hand soap in the Men's bathroom in either holder.

We used this venue for a wedding rehearsal dinner in Dec 2022. The UNC student staff were very responsive and flexible. They did their best to meet our needs based on our specific requests and instructions. We also used their services for light bartending during the dinner.

Cute little coffee shop and event space in Chapel Hill. I went and got a hot caramel chai with oat milk and a blueberry muffin. They were both delicious. It's not a big spot but that is perfect if you want a little place to escape and get a little work done. The barista that made my drink was super nice and fun to chat with.

This is a new, relaxing, and cozy coffee shop and multi-use building. The main draw for me is the coffee shop. Firstly, the barista was friendly and put a lot of care in the lattes he makes. I had the Mocha latte, which was nice and hot! It tasted just like a hot chocolate but with a much needed boost of caffeine. They mentioned later this afternoon there is going to be a comedy show. This place has lots of potential and a wonderful place for UNC students! I will be returning!

This is a lovely student-run venue with a cafe out front and an area for events in the back. It was quiet on a weekday with calm music and ample sunlight. Limited seating, but great study spot!

TLDR: Unique, small event venue + cafe in Chapel Hill on Franklin street. Previously an improv theater. Sip coffee in the front, party in the back. Beautiful, clean, and decorated event venue in Chapel Hill. Parking is available nearby on the street or in parking lots. Most parking around Chapel Hill is not free. Pay at machines/meters. Some lots are free on Sundays or in December. We parked in a free lot and walked. The venue is smaller than expected and the owners were sitting in the cafe area. The owners of the PITCH and Grounds are friendly and welcoming. The first section is the Grounds cafe and the second is the PITCH event venue. Both rooms were decorated nicely for the holidays. I peeked in the back room, which was open at the time to provide additional seating. I mainly stayed in the first section and ordered from the Grounds. The Grounds offers a fair selection of coffee options, non-coffee options (refreshers, hot chocolate, tea, etc), and baked goods. The barista was friendly and took our orders right away. I chose the Oreo hot chocolate made with almond milk. With one person working the counter it took a reasonable amount of time to receive our order. It was made correctly and tasted exactly like an Oreo. It was sweet, rich, and so delicious! It seemed pricy at $6.25, but was large and filling. I know it is costly to run a business, however, the prices seem too high for a cafe near a college campus. Nonetheless it is worth it for the occasional treat. Overall, I had a positive experience here and recommend this cafe to others!
