Kitschy Hotel with a ton of character.
Bathroom is laid out weird and the shower leaks, there's a notable gap in the shower walls and the toilet knocks with the bathroom door.
It's clear they do not expect anyone to sit at or use the desk, as the chair sits at the edge of the rug, and the only plugs for the desk are located behind a very heavy piece of furniture.
Gym is tiny but very very well appointed. Excellent location. Walk to food, shopping, groceries and campus.

Beautiful hotel located in the heart of Chapel Hill. Everything was great and wish I could give the hotel more stars. However our room did not have a good functioning HVAC unit, we tried changing rooms however it was the same situation. I wish the staff would’ve Offered some type of compensation due to the room issue.

For my recent stay David was a super help to accommodate my very early arrival. Without his help it would have been a very rough start to a full week. I am very grateful for top notch customer service.

The most impressive about this hotel was the front desk staff. The person who checked us in was very helpful, professional, and very friendly, even though it was 5 AM. Beautiful rooms with awesome ideas and decoration. The location is perfect and I highly recommend it.

This is the hotel you should choose. Very clean and d each room has authentic UNC basketball floor. They have a Jordan room that shows a replica of Michael’s college room. Why stay in a boring hotel when you could stay here?

No coffee maker in the rooms. I had to drag myself to the bar in the lobby for some coffee. Not a great start to the day.
Also, no ice bucket, no cups or glases. There is a tea pot. Useless to me.

LIPSTICK ON A PIG. The location is great, and decor is spot on for Carolina. That's where it stops! The rooms have very old air-conditioning systems that sound like freight trains when they come on and off. The bathroom had mold on the shower floor and the showerhead just drizzled down water. No coffee maker in the room just a hot water boiler with instant coffee! For over $400 a night you would expect at least away to make fresh coffee. No ice machines anywhere, so I had to go to the lobby and wait to get a bucket of old crushed ice from the kitchen. We had a balcony with two chairs that had wet, moldy pillows on them. The amenities in the room were scares or low quality. Sadly disappointed with our stay.
Walkability: Prime location on Franklin Street , which is the only highlight of the hotel

Lost in the sea of undergrads on a Friday night, this quaint and stylish little bar was a welcome and quiet refuge. It has a simple menu of bar snacks and some interesting plays on traditional cocktails.

I would reccomend booking at a more well-established hotel that knows how hospitality works, such as The Hampton Inn or AC Hotel by Marriott (which are both within a block of this location).

It's a great location and super fun decor but definitely a more budget type of place. The outlets in the rooms didn't work, the AC was so loud that we had to turn it off, which wasn't ideal. insulation wasn't great and the halls are loud, and the gym is microscopic.
