The owner is rude and disrespectful.Calling people he doesn't even know "stupid".He doesn't seem to learn anything from the reviews he receives and respond to, who is the stupid one?Hey men, clean up your shop, clean your dogs and keep them in an enclosed area, so potential customers can come in.You should also rethink the concept of your business and most importantly learn kindness, respect and realize that you need customers. Just trying to help you out, honestly.

We stepped in to be welcomed by a strong dirty dog smell and the owner screaming at us to close the door.We ran away and will never come back.

Owner is friendly and goes above and beyond to help customers. I've had many great experiences with this store and the owner. I personally love seeing all the dogs in the store and am thrilled that this man takes care of dogs in need!

Service is prompt and friendly. Note that only pre-labelled Amazon returns are accepted here. No barcodes. Only gripe is that it constantly smells like wet dog inside.

The store is randomly closed throughout the day while he walks his dogs, which is understandable, but can be frustrating for people unfamiliar with the store. However, what is unacceptable is the complete lack of respect and professionalism. The door was opened only briefly to let someone by with a package, during which his one of the dogs ran out. He then proceeded to curse at a woman holding a baby about the dogs. Another occasion he yelled at someone walking their dogs by because they came too close to the glass... combined with the smell, trash, and doggy surprises on the floor, in all makes for a rather unpleasant experience.If you would like more examples, read the owners responses to the other reviews.

I called to get information about domestic shipping via Fed-Ex. He showed lack of customer service or concern to help. He seemed more eager to get off the phone rather than to assist me. He actually hung up on me. I called back to thank him for the little information he gave me and to express the fact that he came across as rude. He began to talk over me and screaming in my ear. At that point, I just told him that God will deal with him. So I hung up because I refused to listen to someone screaming in my ear. He was VERY RUDE, impolite and disrespectful. I will NEVER recommend this location to anyone.

For the less than 5 minutes we were in the store, we had a horrible experience. We were visiting the area and I went in the store hoping to look at some local art. Unfortunately the owner was extremely rude to my two young kids and I. I saw the sign on the door that said not to let the dogs out, so I was careful when bringing the stroller inside. We went in the store and 4 small dogs immediately came up to greet us. The dogs were great, I pet them for a little while and they sniffed my kids in the stroller. My 5 yr old asked me if he could stand up and I said sure. The minute my son was off the back of the stroller the man behind the desk started yelling at us "no no no! you can't do that. He needs to stay in the stroller!"...we were all very taken aback. After all, he saw us in there for a while and he had plenty of time to tell us whatever obscure store rules we needed to abide by. He also could have easy conveyed any concerns of his without yelling at a potential customer. Of course, the second he started yelling, his dogs started barking. Needless to say, we didnt stay to look around and shop. I told him I found his behavior rude and to not yell at my kids. His response was to yell back "I wasn't yelling at them, I was yelling at you!" Because that makes it better...He then proceeded to tell me he didn't want my business and that his store is not a petting zoo. If he was so concerned about his dogs, then he shouldn't have them there. Or perhaps have them behind an exercise pen or fenced area, I can think of many solutions that don't involve berating customers. I left with him yelling at me more and calling me a nasty b***** Anyway, this is how this miserable person treats people.

I see that 6 people have mentioned that the proprietor is touchy. Yes, there is interesting hand made jewelry in the store, but it doesn’t make up for a unhappy owner. I arrived at the store before closing and I was told by someone checking their rented box that he had left to walk a dog, he had left 3 dogs in the store. When he returned he said it was after hours and he was closed.

Do not use this store. The owner is hostile and rude. If he makes a mistake, he refuses to own it. In my case he had a mini tantrum and ordered me out of the store. He's simply a miserable man who has filled the store with approximately 6 dogs and let both his own and the store's cleanliness standards sink to the point where it's become his personal, malodorous fiefdom - customers be damned. I should add that I'm 64 years old, cannot recall ever having experienced such an unpleasant store encounter, and have to admit that I was quite shaken for the rest of the day. I don't write many reviews, and certainly haven't enjoyed writing this one. But I believe this proprietor stands out as one of the worst and that the success of this store is purely due to it's convenient location. Love to ship here. The owner is super helpful and it's wonderful to meet the dogs he rescues. There are also lots of nice gift items in the shop, many of which are made by local artists.

Owner swore at my daughter for walking past store front (specifically, he said "get your g*d d*mn dogs away from the door" to a 12 year old girl), which is in a dog friendly area in a busy place with many dogs. Then, he swore at me, threatened to call the police, all while refusing to apologize for swearing at my child for walking past with dogs. This is the wrong business for this location, and the owner is ornery, hateful, and downright rude. Many people observed his interaction with me and my daughter, and some said they were offended by his actions. Really, awful place. I wouldn't ship with them if they were the last place to ship something on earth.
