The last year and half has been horrendous. The first week in the bathtub refused to drain. it takes day for it to drain an inch. the sink and tub regurgitate sewer water and leave disgusting water and bits in the bowl. the bugs are outrageous, roaches 2-3 inches big and so many ants !!!! a black mold has been coming out of the AC vents and spreading with us being sick when we are in those rooms. the AC freezes and shuts off when it is set anything under 70, when told the office they said to just not set it that (very helpful in 100+ degree weather). washer and dryer only work sometimes (have to share 1 washer/dryer with 7 other units). rent has increased $200 since initial lease signing but quality has only gone down.not to mention the hostile management who will probably respond by saying they have no record of any of this because their emails delete after 10 days so they are not liable.also there is nothing inappropriate in this review, only facts and true experiences.****edit: what did i say about them saying this isnt true?? because I know exactly how they treat their renters. obviously im not disclosing who i am but i do live here and cannot wait for lease to end.

My partner and I lived here for two years in two different apartments. Management is very responsive with everything; emails, maintenance requests, pest control, etc. It's pretty affordable for Chapel Hill, and also within the time I lived here they were always doing ofrenovations on vacant units or working to upgrade the facilities. After one lease cycle, we wanted to continue living here but move to a bigger unit. Management made this super easy for us to do. This was also great place for us to live while attending UNC. You can walk to campus if you need to (it's a bit of a hike just because of it being uphill on the way there) but there's also multiple bus stops right by the complex that are serviced by the NU, NS and several other lines. In my experience, I definitely recommend living here - especially as a student! Pam and Rebecca in the office as well as all the great and attentive maintenance staff made this a wonderful place to live during my undergrad years.

My coworker showed me pictures of biological growth in her AC vents. She told me she's been talking to property management for almost a week now and they refuse to help her. I gave my attorneys phone number hoping to help her find a solution. This property is clearly violating warranty of Habitability. I would not recommend moving here.

Great office staff❤️ really love Rebecca and Pam so much they are really responsive and homey. Apartments are outdated but located in a great area. A nice place to call home for awhile.

I stayed in the apartments on MLK. They were updated and affordable apartments while I was in school! The office was always friendly to me.

Have been living here for the past two years. Nice people in leasing office. Pool view is outstanding, surrounded by tall trees ??

I've lived here for two years now. I love the property and the staff. Staff is very understanding, helpful and responsive to any opportunities. The upkeep of the property is awesome. The maintenance team is unmatched. If I need a light bulb replaced they make it a priority to ensure that light bulb is replaced. The pool opened early because the maintenance team was ready to get everyone in and enjoying the summer heat and sunshine. I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is...

The lady I spoke to on the phone cut me off, was rude and condescending. Instant turn off from wanting to live here.

Don't live here! Outwardly mean property manager with nonexistent hospitality and a sharp, conservative tongue. Unkept facilities. Bad wifi. Great value... if they PAID you to live here. Get some staff that give a dang about your residents.

I've lived at Stratford Hills for 5 years, both on Bolinwood and MLK. These apartments are perfect if you are studying biology or entomology! Between the three units I've stayed at while I was here, I've seen roaches, mice, mold, spiders (once the size of a baseball), and cave crickets (also once the size of a baseball). The front office sometimes has free snacks though!

Management is awesome I seen some poor reviews on the staff but there’s nothing wrong with these individuals. Maintenance is very responsive. I’ve put in multiple work orders and maintenance has responded within a couple of hours. Roaches have been seen but they have a weekly representative spray the premises and spray by request in your home

Just don’t waste your money. Pam is SUPER rude, just not worth your stress & mental health. Ever since they’ve been under Brown Investment Properties, the place has just gone downhill. Do not move here.

Overall a nice place to live at a great price!Cons: owner company can be very uncaring and difficult, waiting for laundry machines can be annoying, rare car breakins

I lived here my junior and senior year at CH. Rebecca is literally the most wonderful leasing office employee you could ever ask for. She is well-organized, and always stays on top of what's going on in the complex. She does a great job of making sure repairs are done in a timely fashion. The complex is a bit expensive for how dated the apartments are, but honestly the location is great and you're paying to live under a really wonderful leasing office. I miss my time here.
