Serving underage to everyone and that has lead to a beautiful young lady being killed because you wanted to make a buck instead of properly carding ... y'all helped aid someone underage toget drunk and now someone is dead hope y'all pay some heavy fines and hopefully shut down! Nothing but greed causes this.

This club use to be dress code friendly and fun 2 months ago. I don't know what happened. Last Friday night, i decided go to still life just to drink a bit and socialize. However, the bouncer said i can't come in due to me wearing boots. I thought it was odd but i just walked off. Soon as i looked back, i saw the bouncer let a white dude in with BOOTS on. And i seen others with dirty sneakers on and not even following the dress code i was told. I'm trying not assume they discriminating against black folks; but come on..... It's pretty evident

Five star fun at Still Life! What a great venue! We hosted a group and booked a table with table service on a Saturday night. Mark was great to work with and made sure that our guests were well taken care of and that everything went smoothly on the night. The servers were great too. The club is fantastic - plenty of really great spaces, each with its own vibe. Our group had an awesome time and totally felt like VIPs! Would definitely do it again!

Title: A Spectacular Venue for Our Staff Holiday Party! We recently hosted our staff holiday party at StillLife Chapel Hill, and it was an absolute hit! From the moment we stepped onto the red carpet entrance, we knew it was going to be a special night. The venue provided top-notch security at the door, ensuring a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. The inclusion of a talented DJ, photographer, and professional bar staff added an extra layer of excitement to the event. The seamless coordination of these services truly enhanced the overall experience for our team.A special shout-out to the Assistant General Manager, Mark Machizzga, who made the entire process incredibly smooth. Mark was easy to work with, and he delivered on every promise made. His attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our satisfaction were truly commendable. What stood out even more was Mark's post-event follow-up, ensuring that we received all our receipts and were completely satisfied with the services provided. This level of customer care is rare and greatly appreciated.StillLife Chapel Hill exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it for any event. Our staff is still talking about what a fantastic time they had. Many thanks to Mark and the entire team at StillLife Chapel Hill for making our holiday party a memorable and enjoyable experience!

About to pursue legal action on this bar. Attempted to contact them and no response so I’ll be reaching out with my legal counsel. They are clearly endangering students by having extremely slippery floors with no wet floor signs or any sort of remediation to improve the situation. Someone is going to seriously get hurt soon enough.

QUEER PEOPLE BEWARE! Went over the weekend with a group of friends-- all of us happen to be queer. The overall feeling as soon as we walked in was unwelcoming, but we wanted to give it a chance as we are all local/alumni who were excited about exploring a new space in CH. The club was overwhelmingly straight and mostly men, and we immediately had a negative interaction with guests who had invited us into a VIP section and then kicked us out because one of my friends "wasn't hot enough", and my trans friend "should be paying for something if they're going to be in the space". I guess we incorrectly assumed because of the proximity to a college campus, there would be more diversity, and the space would feel more open/inclusive. Things came to a head when the group tried to use the establishments restrooms. As many femme and queer people do, we go to the bathroom in groups for safety reasons, and also simply because a group of young people enjoying their night out together should have that right without issue. However, when my friend (who is trans) walked into the bathroom, they were physically and aggressively pulled out by a security guard. This employee continuously misgendered them and continued to be physically aggressive with them despite zero aggravation or reaction from my friend. This employee would not be leveled with when I tried to explain that my friend is trans, and proceeded to incorrectly cited "NC laws" prohibiting trans people from using the bathroom. The laws the employee was citing (likely HB2, a 2016 law that garnered national attention for its egregious anti-LGBTQ sentiment and health/safety risk), have been repealed since December 1, 2020. All of this happened within an hour, and on our first visit. Recommendations to the owners and management of this establishment:1) Consider installing gender-neutral restrooms. Many other successful bars in the area utilize gender-neutral restrooms without issue.2) Make an effort to educate all employees on updated laws impacting all clientele in the state of North Carolina, as well as a businesses freedom and responsibility to protect its patrons in spite of political climate. Any public space should make an effort to do so, but the lack of awareness given the businesses proximity to a diverse college campus full of young people is particularly shocking. The incident felt like a choice/business stance rather than a genuine misunderstanding. I'm not sure the employee would feel so comfortable incorrectly citing "NC law" if they didn't feel backed by management.3) Require DEI training for all staff and screen staff for biases as a part of the hiring and onboarding process. This is a safety issue. You choose who you pay to maintain the safety of your business--the area is full of prospective employees who can commit to the safety of the patrons.I'm not asking for anything from management, and I understand that as a club, it's not your job to change the world. It is your job, however, as a public space, to do your best to ensure the safety of the patrons whose dollars enable your doors to stay open. Until the above action steps, at minimum, are enacted, I *strongly* recommend LGBTQ+ folks to look elsewhere.

When I went during summer, it was straight upstairs to the split bars. They charge $5 entry fee and then when you go inside there wasn't really a dance floor but they had two different DJs at both bars and ...I was not vibing with either of their music. On top of that there weren't that many people in there actually dancing and there wasn't really a dedicated dance floor, just a corner with some lights. We requested a song for the DJ and waited for about two songs but decided it wasn't worth it. Kind of a waste of money in my opinion. I'm glad they had a good cider available though.
