Howdy! Ofcourse, everyone has a right to their opinion, however, as a supporter of local businesses and female entrepreneurs, I'd like to address Ms. Amy Morrow's poor review, simply because I don't want this particular opinion to deter anyone from coming to one of the most quaint local wine shops in town! As a non-biased animal lover who does NOT currently have pets, it's important to note that Southern Village is an incredibly pet friendly neighborhood and Rocks+Acid has accomodated pets and pet parents as evidenced by the Pet Friendly SIGN in front of the establishment. If you don't like pets...then perhaps consider a different venue? In addition, in the 2 years I've visited this wine shop, I have never encountered a loud or annoying pet and this seems to have been an anomaly...not the norm. The owner Paula and her team, strive to provide excellent customer service and if the dog annoyance was brought to anyones attention, it would have been addressed respectfully. There IS an eclectic variety of wine selections and the wine pour on the contrary is quite generous! And the seats? Really? You're going for wine tasting, not dinner! Whether you want to have a solo date with a good book, share some time with your partner or family, or hang out with friend,Rocks and Acid is a prime spot for great wine and a great vibe! 100% will continue going back!

I really wanted to love this place but it just didn't gel for me. There was a loud and very nervous dog inside, the seating was uncomfortable and very limited, it was SUPER cold inside, and the pours felt too small for the money. It's too bad as it's a nice location and clearly has a great selection of wines, but not for me or anyone who doesn't want to be up close and personal with badly behaved dogs (inside, not just outside) and pay quite a bit for the privilege.

Love Rocks + Acid! Paula, Laura and team are fantastic, very helpful without the snobbery that often comes with wine. The wine selection is great…love seeing so many different wines! Looking forward to some of the special tastings and classes.

Enjoyed the Pinot Noirs of France wine event last night. The wines were delicious, varied, unusual, and affordable. The accompanying cheese plate was phenomenal. My suggestion would be to slow down a bit. Six wines is a lot to taste in an hour and 10 minutes. Maybe allow a little time to taste the wine, discuss amongst other guests, and gather one's thoughts before moving on to the next one. I'd be willing to sacrifice one of the wines to have more time to enjoy each one. Looking forward to another event!

I wanted to surprise my wife with an assortment of wines. Not knowing much about wines myself, I entered Rocks+Acid and I was immediately overwhelmed with the vast selection they have. Sensing my terror, Laura quickly came to my rescue. She asked me a few questions about my wife's likes and dislikes in wine and "the game was afoot." She spent a good 20 minutes with me explaining in detail the regions, climates, soils, balance and complexity of several wines. In the end she was able to help me select four bottles that I am sure my wife will enjoy. I could not have asked for a better sommelier to help me in my quest.

I love R + A! It should go without saying that a shop that focuses on wine should be knowledgeable, and THEY ARE! However what I like even more and keeps me going back is that they make an concerted, authentic effort to get to know you, know what you like, and remember who you are the next time you visit! This is what makes the difference between a "store" where no one knows your name and a "shop" where you feel a part of their "framily". ~Erin Daniel

A gem! Great store with very knowledgeable staff. Every time I go in I come home with delicious varietals or regions to try! They also have a great selection of vermouths to really up your Manhattan and Negroni game. Big shout out to Laura who translates what I am describing into the perfect glass of wine to enjoy or bottle to take home.

Great tasting highlighting the variety of the new Australian wines. Very helpful staff that steered me to some champagne styles in the store that I had been looking for as part of a tasting class

This is fantastic wine shop. (I used to work in the wine business so I know just a little about it.)Most stores/restaurants buy from just a few distributors - I think she said they use 27. Thus their selection in this area is unparalleled. After visiting the Jura region in France in 2013, I've been looking all over this state for wines from that region and have never found one - and I check in literally every shop I visit. I've found two at this store so far. (I recommend them, it's like an unfortified Sherry.)They do nice flights and wines by the glass - they also have a really great selection of rose's and orange wines, which I've grown really fond of. I haven't done any of their "classes" or "events" because I'm not a joiner, but if you like that thing then there you go. I think bottle prices start in the low $20s.

Fun & flirty little wine shop. Knowledgeable and friendly staff… my housewarming/dinner party wine gifting game has been significantly elevated. 11/10 would recommend.

Why didn't this place open while we still lived there?!?! It is so cool! It's beautifully designed and has outdoor seating. The employees were so helpful and personable. We were in town for two days and went both days!

Wonderful collection of interesting wines. This is definitely not the Great Wall of ordinary wine you find in super markets. We have been to two wine events and have thoroughly enjoyed both. Laura was funny, knowledgeable, and interesting.
