Everyone at My Eye Dr. Is very kind and they answer all of my questions. I highly recommend My Eye Dr. in Chapel Hill, NC. I have been a patient there for more than 5 years and I would not go anywhere else.

I can not recommend My Eye Doctor in Chapel Hill enough. Dr. Hillsgrove and her team (Taylor and Gladys) are amazing. From being a Duke patient (and staff) to completely changing to Dr. Hillsgrove should tell you something. She has kept my vision and eye health top notch and I can’t thank her enough for truly caring for me. Gladys was exceptional in helping me with my contact ordering and getting the best price, which is important to me. 10/10 recommend them! Thank you Dr. Hillsgrove and team!

I was seen with in 5 or so minutes of being there, that in of itself was impressive. But the staff were just amazing, from the gentleman who greeted me at the front desk, to the young lady who prepped me to see the doctor, and finally the doctor himself, it was a wonderful experience. Also, the lady that helped me pick out my frames and walked me through the whole process of how I would get my new glasses, was very helpful and kind as well. She's quite the salesperson, talked me into some new Oakley eyeglasses, lol! I am fairly new to the area, but not new to NC. I moved back to NC from TX late last year, after being out of state for 15 years. I've been getting all my ducks in a row, new driver's license and what not, and also lining up new doctors, dentist, ect...; so I say all that to say, my first experience with a new doctor, your doctor, was very, very positive. Thanks for taking such good care of me and my eyes!

Excellent experience today! My husband and I have come several years because we both like Dr Hillsgrove. She’s knowledgeable, explains everything well and never upsells. In the past staff were not always good here but everyone we interacted with today was competent, very helpful and did a great job. Thanks!

My husband walked out with a prescription that actually works, comfortable contact lenses, and is awaiting glasses. We have previously gone to 5 star, local eye clinics and they have been hot garbage. Where they excelled at customer service, they equally failed in getting the proper prescription and adequate contact lenses. Go to this practice if you want to see well. My husband’s quality of life has improved.

I had a very pleasant interaction with the doctor here in mid-November and then everything went downhill, fast. Notified in mid-December that my glasses had arrived: they hadn't. Only lenses had arrived, and they weren't made to fit the frames I chose. Finally got my glasses early in the new year. They were the display frames, and the fake display lenses were still in the case. Fine, I paid for glasses that had been tried on by other people, but I was just glad to be able to see after 1.5 months of waiting. New glasses gave me splitting headaches and didn't improve my ability to read. I returned to the store where they examined the glasses and said they matched the prescription. Told me it was probably an issue with composite lenses. Glasses of 2+ years are composite lenses so, no. My option was to get a re-check. At this point I had waited 2 months for sub-par frames and glasses and paid $275+ over and above insurance. I went home to think about next steps and found I had a $234 invoice from My Eye Doctor for an exam on December 16th I had never received. I called and they canceled the charges. At this point, I had lost all faith in them so I switched to my previous provider, who is not covered by my current insurance. Turns out the reason the prescription from My Eye Dr was giving me splitting headaches is that the sphere and axis were wildly off. Worse than that, they took me from +2.25 for near vision to +2.00 and I needed to be at +2.50. Extremely bad experience on all fronts. Previous provider had my new, corrected glasses to me within a week.

I had a great experience with check in, exam with Dr. Hillsgrove, ordering contacts, and check out. My husband had a great experience as well with the other doctor. We will definitely return!

I made an appointment online, it was confirmed via text and showed up and they didn't have my appointment in their system. They also couldn't accommodate a new appointment for 2 weeks out. Don't schedule online.

Doctor was great. Support staff was odd. Lady helping with glasses and contacts was struggling to breath and coughing all over the place. Just didn't feel like a welcomed experience.
