About Memorial Hall
Memorial Hall at UNC-Chapel Hill is the flagship venue of Carolina Performing Arts. This historic space hosts world-class music, dance, and other exciting live performances. It is a lovely and special venue, often used for graduation ceremonies and university events. There is not a bad seat in the house, with all seats close enough to thoroughly enjoy any performance. The beautiful Carolina blue ceiling and elegant chandeliers add to its charm. The hall has excellent lighting and great sound acoustics, as it was designed for musical performances. The staff is amazing, friendly, and very nice in assisting guests. Some note that parking near the venue is limited, but drop-off is convenient. A minor point is that the HVAC can sometimes make the space feel stuffy. Overall, it is a great place for performances and special occasions.

The acoustics in the balcony are pretty good. The water damage and paint peeling is hard to ignore from up there though.

Beautiful building. Attended the Blank Canvas Dance Company recital. Very well done show with great lighting and sound. Super friendly staff and a great show.

Lovely hall with a great sound. Just be sure to add extra time for finding parking.
