Truly the best staff EVER! Everyone here is communicative, kind, responsive, and only wants the absolute best care for your animals. The team at Meadowmont is always upfront about pricing, and they work within your budget without sacrificing care. Finding this animal hospital has been a relief! I know my cats will be loved and well taken care of by a team of amazing people every visit.I’m moving out of the state soon, so this will be a hard goodbye!

All in all I'm not sure exactly what happened with my guinea pigs tooth trim, I don't feel like anything went wrong. However, recovery from a tooth trim with critical care is so much more complicated than I would have imagined, and I would think many guinea pig owners would expect. They got him in really quickly for broken teeth, I believe took good care of him. But the education process around his needs after surgery and before was not great. My guinea pig had to be brought to the emergency room for accidental aspiration that night, which was horrible and my fault. However, I only had given him a third of a 3ml syringe (which I know now is still too much) and I believe because of still feeling the effects of the anesthesia, he aspirated. He was treated for a week, and then still passed away from pneumonia. This is why I would feel more confident referring someone to Avian and Exotic Care in Raleigh instead, when I got there they gave me a demonstration of how to feed, and were alot more perceptive of my guinea pigs condition. I feel grateful for what Meadowmont did to help my guinea pig, but I would not feel confident going to them for any major issue.

They go above and beyond! The whole staff is absolutely fantastic; available, responsive, knowledgeable, positive, and kind. They go out of their ways to remember me as well as my cats’ weird names. Feels like a safe family vet! They’ve even helped me with other things like tracking down a stray cat’s owner.

I have never been to a better vet. Our hamster passed away and they handled the aftercare extremely well! The staff were so nice and caring to us. Highly recommend!!!!

I choose Meadowmont based on its high rating. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly. However, it feels more like a money making institution than a patient first vet clinic. I switched from a very good vet, who took time explaining everything and all of the options, including helping me decide on finically feasible treatment plans. I've since moved and found another very good vet who takes time to explain all the options. So, I feel like I have a extensive experience of what a good vet looks like. At Meadowmont, it felt like they only pushed the most aggressive, expensive treatments and did not take time explaining the options and considerations. Since starting at Meadowmont, I began using Trupanion and multiple times Meadowmont has not worked with me on getting my dog coverage via Trupanion.If you prefer aggressive treatment, don't mind spending a lot of money, and just want someone to tell you what to do without discussing options - then Meadowmont will probably be great for you.But, if you want someone on your team, who will explain all the options, take time answering questions, and advocate for you (to insurance), then I'd look elsewhere.

This is one of the few remaining non corporate veterinary hospitals and you can tell. Dr. Robertson is an amazing veterinarian. She is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to get to know her patients and their owners. When my Great Dane had an issue with his eye, she spent time sending me research she had done about the latest evidence based surgical treatments for his condition and was patient and kind in helping me make decisions around his care. She is one of the most amazing professionals I have ever worstaff is lnowfriendly and responsive. We lost Guinea Pig we were fostering who had a seizure related condition that had gone undiagnosed. She had a seizure and I called Meadowmont and they were so kind and caring. They said to bring her in immediately and they would be waiting. She didn’t make it to the car but just knowing that they would be ready to care for our four-legged family members during a health emergency at a moments notice was so reassuring. Even though our foster pig had never been seen at Meadowmont, staff sent a beautiful sympathy card and were so kind and compassionate when I called to let them know we wouldn’t be coming in because she didn’t make it. Dr. Robertson and her staff have been caring for our pets for over a decade and I can’t imagine better care. Meadowmont is by far the best veterinary hospital I have ever worked with. They provide amazing care, customer service, and are also valuable members of the community. Dr. Robertson and her staff volunteer their time and expertise with a number of local animal welfare nonprofits in the area. They are truly amazing.

Loved this facility. So clean and professional. Everyone was friendly especially Cassidy. She knew what she was talking about and I felt very comfortable with how I saw she handled my cat and the other animals while in the waiting area. She was confident and great to work with. :) Will definitely recommend!

The fact that Dr Gordon is answering google reviews instead of returning my phone call himself about my sick dog really says it all. Their website says locally owned but everything about this place screams PE roll up. They have square terminals in every single operating room. They have BNPL (!) brochures at the front desk. The vet mutters additional procedures such as a $100 saline injection under his breath so you can barely hear it, and then bills you right there at, you guessed it, the conveniently placed square terminal. Ended up getting WAY better care for about 15% the price at tractor supply in Hillsborough.

Closest exotic vet near me in Alton, VA. Wonderful care. Dr. Gordon followed up a day or so later to check on our feather baby. Compassionate and comprehensive pet care!

Such welcoming and knowledgeable staff. The patience and genuine care for your pets and you are obvious! We have two very nervous/shy dogs and they do a wonderful job taking the time to care for them and build relationships each visit. We love Meadowmont!

Very helpful and friendly staff - they are fantastic with my puppy and answered all of my questions at her initial visit and follow up. I scheduled a spay for her next month, and will be happy to bring my 2 cats in for their next annual physical. Meadowmont was suggested by friends who bring their pets here, and I would also recommend this clinic.

I have been going to Meadowmont for almost 3.5 years at this point. However, after an awful Customer Service experience prior to my two dogs vet tech visit this past Saturday, 1/14, I am taking business elsewhere. I have 4 pets total and have not had an issue like this before.I was running late to the appointment and gave the front desk staff a call to let them know (5-10 min) and asked if there was an issue. This was again, for a vet tech appointment @ 11:15a. I was told that this was the last visit of the day. However, the scheduling system lets you schedule up to 12p for Saturday appointments so I find that hard to believe.I was also told I would need to reschedule even though the visit would have taken only 10 minutes (for two shots, and bloodwork drawn from 1 dog).There was really no other accommodations to be made. When I asked the staff member about this, they said there was not anything else they could do other than reschedule. I scheduled this appointment time in particular because it was relatively convenient for me and the dogs.I proceeded to request the dogs medical records and mentioned that I would move forward with another vet based on the customer service experience I received on the phone. The staff member was very short and also hung up the phone on me.After sharing my experience with the team, I was forwarded the medical records with no context or no other real means to reconcile the ill customer service experienced.Incredibly disappointing!
