Used to be the premier grocery store around, but has been going downhill ever since Kroger bought it.

THIS PLACE IS SO GROSS!! I decided to try this place out because it was recommended to me but now that I have gone here, I will never come back. As soon as I walked in those doors, man, I thought I was gonna need an ambulance. The place reeked of farts and it smelled really bad. I thought it was because the bathrooms were close but as I kept walking through the store it got worse. I swear when I got to the back of that store, near the meat, there was a pile of rats! The meat man looked at me and smiled, I got so scared i threw my cart. I ran to the front but as I was running i had this sudden urge to use the bathroom, I could NOT wait. Unfortunately, i went in there and all the stalls had shit streaks and KIDS were trying to clean it up. WHAT!?!? CHILD LABOR!?!? long story short, I ended up shitting all over the place :( including on the children :)

This is the third time I've come here for coffee at the Starbucks and no one has been working and the coffee stand is closed. This time was the worst because I ordered online and was told that there is no manager on duty so they can't refund my money. So I've basically wasted my time and money. I won't be coming back here.

Good service. Products in good shape (eg, no careless boxcutter slices). But prices elevated compared with other grocers selling the exact same thing.

A pleasant experience until Julianne comes and tries to accuse you of stealing beer when another coworker came to check my ID before her cause she isn’t doing her job

This Harris Teeter location offers the best subs in town, and their prices are unbeatable. I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the mood for a delicious and affordable sub. Their sushi bar looks great and fresh as well. Hands down, a top notch choice compared to overpriced sub shops!

I dislike this grocery store so much, but because of where I live, I have been here dozens of times. Here are a few of the issues:-The organization of the store is so problematic. For example, juice boxes are not shelved with juice bottles nor with sparkling water and soda (which are not together either). No, juice boxes are shelved in the chip aisle next to small containers of chips. Another example: frozen meatballs and chicken nuggets are *not* in the frozen section. No, there is a single small freezer door next to raw chicken where you can find meatballs. If you want nuggets, you have to go across from the seafood to a open freezer bin where all the nuggets are, segregated from all the other frozen food on the other side of the store. Frozen fish can be found both next to fish and across the store next to frozen veggies, depending on the brand. Looking for protein bars? They are, literally, next to the soap.-Another issue is they never have had more than two lines open for check out, even though the store can be busy and there are literally 20 check out lanes. They are obviously under staffing an enormous grocery store. They also don’t have enough people to both check you out and bag you, so one staff member must do both.-You must watch every item as it is rung up to make sure the sale price actually is applied. Often, if you do not do self check out, the sale sticker barcode is disregarded and the regular barcode is used by the staff member. Every time I check out I have to verify the prices I recall for items and it is ridiculous and stressful. They also do not code their over-the-counter medicine correctly, meaning that you cannot use health savings accounts to pay for it there. The same items, such as Advil, could be bought anywhere else using a health account, but not here. When you add all these issues up, plus the fact that most days they play The Doors on the speaker, the shopping experience is dreadful. It takes so much longer than going other places and it is so hard to find things, then hard to check out.

One of the best Harris Teeters in the area! Plenty of options, simple store layout, and pleasant customer service.

It's a nice store, but again, it's one of the more pricey grocery stores.
