Wanted a soda the 3 I tried to get were warm at best. Had to settle with nasty one with ice and a very short straw. I ask was cooler broke and was told no. I said your drinks are not cold. He said maybe not cold enough for you. And about the short straw he said they were out of bigger straws. I stop here ever time I 'm up this way. So, next time i'll just go another block and a half to the Circle K. Thanks Family Fare of 6007 Farrington Rd. Chapel Hill for running me off.Had to edit for store wasn' t kangaroo it was Circle K store.

PLEASE PLEASE BEWARE!!! On Jul 8th 2023 I purchased gas from this station ,unbeknownst to me there was one of those fradulant card readers attached to pump Number 9. Someone tried to charge several thousands of dollar to my credit card. I have tried to contact station owner or management to no avail. Luckly for me my financial institution was on alerted immediately . Be alert, Please have someone inspected pump number 9 and all pumps at this station.

Men's bathroom didn't have toilet paper until asked, didn't have soap. Who knows how long it takes for the bathrooms to get dirty? But it looked like weeks since it had been mopped or the sink wiped. Dead cockroach inside.

I really can't stand all the ads that they bombard you with, ridiculously loud, while you're just trying to pump gas in peace. I go up the road toward the interstate just to avoid that.

Went into the store tonight and half the pumps are bagged off and there are no employees. I went in to use the bathroom and then wandered around the store waiting for an employee and looking for something very specific. Took my time picking stuff out thinking someone would come to help. After 15 or so minutes I yelled out a few times and still not an employee in sight. There was an abandoned car at one of the pumps the entire time I was there so maybe your employee was chilling with their friends in the back?? Idk but really inexcusable. Y'all want to get robbed? I'm an honest person who left my stuff on the counter but don't think I didn't consider just leaving with it out of frustration.

I have loved this gas station. The owner and staff are super kind. But yesterday, two men walked in and out of the store without a mask. I won't go back again. I know it is hard to be the heavy when you are a business owner - I am one myself. But as owners we have a responsibility to follow the law and stop the spread of Covid.

I lived nearby for 9 years from this place. Always shady. Now when I actually need them, closed as 24/7 business. SUPER SHADY. AVOID.

Yikes. There are only three one-star reviews for this Shell station at the time I write this. My experience here wasn't that bad. The main reason I'm giving this Shell station two stars (according to Yelp, two stars means "Meh. I've experienced better.") instead of three ("A-OK") is because of the gas prices. They're kind of expensive for the area, but that's Shell in general for you. I've been able to get Shell's relatively high gas prices offset by as low as 12 cents/gallon and as high as 40 cents/gallon, at this specific location, using the app GetUpside. The app is free, easy to use, and there are no gimmicks as far as I can tell. I'm not sure how GetUpside nor the gas station benefit, but I can tell you as a consumer who uses the app regularly, the consumer benefits. Within a few days of pumping, the savings are available for you to "cash out" into any number of gift cards through vendors such as Amazon, Target, and Walmart. The offer amount varies. For example, as I write this, the current offer for this station is 37 cents/gallon "cash back" and I've seen it as low as 9 cents/gallon. This is a fairly large Shell station with 16 pumps. The gas station is clean enough. I usually have no problems. I once had to ring up two transactions on pump #10 because the pump prematurely stopped and didn't fill my gas tank to full. The pumps are generally in OK condition and paper receipts print out clearly. Video advertisements play while you pump. The paper towel dispensers are pretty much always stocked and the paper towel quality is above average for a gas station. To date, I've yet to go into the Family Fare convenience store. This gas station feels safe. You can find this place just off I-40 exit 273 (NC 54 - Chapel Hill, Durham) on Farrington Rd.

Myself and my husband work late and we have come here many times anywhere from 1:30-3:00 am. The guy has the door locked and is sleeping in the office. We know this because we knock on the door and call until he comes which is very rare. We just want the owners to know how much business you are losing to pay someone to sleep on the clock. I would say between the two of us you've lost close to 600 we are stopping on the way home to get dog food, snacks, drinks, milk, cigarettes, dip, some grocery items and meds. One night 2 EMT workers my husband and another woman stood outside waiting and he never opened the door. Essential workers stopping to load up on drinks and snacks, you are losing tons of money and wasting customers time when you are advertised as open and have an employee that seems to be sleeping on the job or just doesn't want to do his job. During a time when all business is crucial the owners need to know they are losing revenue over this employee. We used to come there almost 5 times a week now we don't even waste our time. Tonight we thought since everyone needs business in the current state of the economy he would surely open the door, but no the doors were locked even though all the lights were on as well as the open sign so again our time was wasted and you lost a 66 dollar sale that sheetz got instead. The times the employee has come unlocked the door for us he acts extremely annoyed and is rude, almost pissed he has to actually do his job. Even though this is the most convenient stop for both of us on the route home we will be going out of the way to go to another gas station since this has continued to be a problem and is completely frustrating. I hope this message gets to the owners so you don't continue to lose business over a lazy employee. If it's happened to us this many times and we've seen it happen to others I can only imagine the amount of sales and customers you are losing over this on going issue. We have personally experienced this for over 6 months if not longer. I'm sorry we didn't speak up sooner. We will try to contact a Manager tomorrow as well. There has even been times where my husband knocked the guy looks at him and just goes back into the office never opening the door for business.

I've been here a few times but this one guy zumar was super disrespectful because I couldnt understand him. I don't know if someone has mad him upset before this but he was extremely rude to me just because I didn't understand his question. I don't want to get him fired or anything but he definitely needs some more training or something.

Sweetest Nicest Employees who are always so kind to everyone and take the time to know their regular customers by name so they can greet us when we walk in the door. They have the best coffee. It's Always fresh, and they also have surprisingly delicious biscuits in the mornings. The hot food area , the fountain machines, the entire store are always very nice and clean. They also always have great deals & specials.
