Towed me from parking lot that said business customers only. Since the lot was next door to the business I assumed it was allowed. I was away from my car for exactly 4 mins and my car was already hooked up to the wrecker. They charged me $300 to put it down even though the sign says $200. And again, I saw the sign and assumed it was a shared lot between the two businesses. I believe they were waiting and watching.

Don’t park at Carr mill mall whatever you do. Prices are insane and they tow your car to narnia. Be aware of these fools. Only way to get rid of these leeches is to starve them, be smart, and check signs.

We had a great experience with our towing situation. We had just bought a new sports car and the snow came down so fast we couldn’t make it home. We slid on an exit ramp and couldn’t move. Cars were piling up all around us. We just knew our new car was going to get hit. Daniel was very responsive, took great care of our new car, followed us to the church parking lot, and gave us tips for a great route home. Crappy day ended the best it could. We would call them again in a heartbeat! 💗

This place is involved with Panera Bread on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill NC. They prey upon innocent people from out of town who usually have a sick baby in NICU at the hospital.
You go to Panera and if you leave your vehicle and walk next door to gather essentials while you’ve stepped away from your baby in a hurry to get back only to come to get back in your vehicle and it’s been towed. The sign isn’t something you may see in regards to this but you will be fined and charged all these ungodly fees.
BE AWARE YOUR ALREADY VULNERABLE AND THIS PROCESS BETWEEN THE TWO BUSINESSES WILL CERTAINLY ADD ADDITIONAL UNNECESSARY STRESS TO YOUR ALREADY STRESSFUL SITUATION.
BE AWARE!!!!

My son was towed on game day in Chapel Hill. It was his fault, parked in a tow zone.
The charge was $388!!! The guy wouldn’t take my card over the phone and wouldn’t take his new bank card that didn’t have my son’s name on it yet. Had to pay cash, which was discounted to $300.
Moral, don’t illegal park in Chapel or get ripped to get your car back.

Predatory towing company! If you park anywhere on Franklin street, try to park on the street or the town lots. DO NOT PARK AT THE RESTAURANT PARKING, even if you are eating nearby. They often will just tow your car and claim you “left the property” and will try to cite specific addresses to justify the tow even though the signs at the parking do not match what they are saying. They also charge significantly less if you pay in cash, and refused to provide a receipt, making me question how they report their income or do business

Tonight my son and I went to pick up an order from chimneyindiankitchen. Order was ready upon arrival. I went to bathroom, come out car towed. 380. Scam company. Will be disputing charges and reporting to better business bureau. I looked up reviews and see several others having same issues. How are they still in business.

Experienced a flat tire, in the dark, on a country road about an hour from home. Unfortunately my car does not have a spare. My first and only call was to Barnes towing. Not only was I confident that my car would arrive safely but I felt comfortable riding along with the driver. Thanks for being there for us.

Should be listed as crooks...Predatory crooks, not a towing service. Parked in Chimney Indian Fusion and Fifth third bank lot and proceeded across to street for Chipotle. Parked in front of a 1 hour parking sign but did not see the signs about leaving the lot as it was dark and I was focused on getting my family of 6 fed. In the restaurant less than 5 minutes when I saw the tow truck in front of my vehicle. Just sad.

Monday evening, my transmission finally gave out, a problem I knew was coming but had delayed addressing. Stranded in Chapel Hill, I called for a tow to get my truck home. Barns Towing and Wrecker Services came through in a big way. Their process was seamless, their customer service outstanding, and within 30 minutes, my truck was securely hooked up and on its way home. If you’re in the Chapel Hill area and need towing services, I highly recommend them for their efficiency and professionalism.

Echoing reviewers claiming predatory tactics. While at the end of the day, you shouldn’t be surprised to be towed if you learn you were illegally parked, $380 is straight up extortion and telling me I pay another $80 if I don’t show up and pay by midnight is—well—predatory. Then, to have the audacity to tell me I can pay $300 if I bring cash—sure, let me just hop in my car and head to the nearest atm . . .

Definitely a predatory towing company. I was legally parked in a handicapped parking spot. I walked across the street to grab something to go and then proceeded to shop in a store in the parking lot I was parked . I was towed and then had to uber to their lot 19 min away . I was told I left the parking lot and I can not do that … even if I come back and shop. They charged me an extra $80 credit card fee . I had a debit card but no ATM on site and no car to drive to one. I will not be stopping in Chapel Hill to eat or shop the next time I pick my student up from school . I hate to punish a town for a property owners greed , but I have a fear. I hope these owners get what they deserve. They have no mercy and refuse to even listen .

Had my car nearly towed after parking and leaving it for no more then 5 minutes, was then strong armed into paying $200 cash and signing a receipt, of which I was not shown the details, by an aggressive and disrespectful man. I discovered later that the receipt I signed prevents me from disputing the transaction or holding them accountable for damages to my car, again I was not shown any of this before signing. After reading many of the reviews I can see that this is an all around exploitative and predatory business. Do not use this business’s services. If I could leave lower than a 1 star review I would.
