“Brown’s is the best auto repair and maintenance in Chapel Hill. I can say that because I tried 2 other local shops before finding Brown’s. Might and day difference. Customer service, attention to detail and quality are all heavily prioritized by this company. Not the least expensive- but, it’s an actual “get what you pay for” deal. Go.”
“I love that they are a family-run business (Max Sr., Max Jr., and his awesome wife Julie. This is where I got my car and where I have work done on it, they are absolutely so kind and trustworthy, you know that you are in good hands. They really know their stuff. They have a comfortable waiting area, offer coffee and cold water (and on my last visit Gatorade). Very understanding and will explain things to you which is good if you're like me and don't know much about cars. They do inspections too!”
“I have been to Garcia a few times. I am often reluctant to go to any mechanic for fear of getting ripped off. I generally feel like Garcia tries to be fair with their customers and even goes above and beyond in some cases. I recently had a flat tire that they were going to patch for me. When the guy looked at it, he found no leak and when I asked him what it costed just to have him look at it, he charged me nothing. Also, they replaced an alternator for me a while back. The owner said they spent longer on it than he thought the job should take, so he didn't charge me for the extra time they spent on it. If you want a mechanic you can trust, I highly recommend these guys.”

“The best Toyota, Honda, German cars mechanic in the area. I come only there all the way from chapel hill. The mechanic there is extremely honest. Don’t waste your time going to an official dealers, just come here. The price will be a little lower but you’d get honest recommendations unlike in a stealership. The only drawback for me is that they don’t work on Nissans.”
“I’ve seen a lot of mechanics in the triangle and Hornes is the best by far. If you’ve got a dump truck or bus I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I had some electrical issues on my 1st gen dodge that 2 other mechanic couldn’t diagnose. Hornes fixed the problem and got me back to work. Honest, fair and reliable.Services: Transmission”
“Great service and very nice!! I had a mishap traveling from Richmond to chapel hill Thursday afternoon. A FedEx truck had lost several large sections of tire tread on 85 south that I could not avoid. I ran over the tire tread which damaged my car's undercarriage tray. When I got to my sister's in chapel hill I called the closest auto shop I could find. The gentleman that answered listened to my mishap and stated he would certainly help me out. I drove over and of course I need to have the tray replaced however the 2 gentlemen were able to secure the tray until I got back to Richmond. I will definitely keep this shop in mind when I visit as well as my sister was very impressed with the friendly services. Not overpriced or did not tried to take advantage of my problem. I also want to support small businesses!Thanks for the great service.”

“These guys are the embodiment of what an automotive shop should be and truly live up to the chapel hill tire philosophy. I have a lowered car and it can be a pain to align it, however these guys didn't refuse nor complain and instead worked closely with me to get it on the machine and getting the alignment to the specs I'd prefer. Vaughn was awesome, talked to him about the car and what I wanted and he communicated very clearly to me. unfortunately, due to my car being lowered, it wouldn't work with their equipment. Still, they tried their hardest to help me, recommending me to diff shops and locations. I believe Chris was the gentlemen I spoke to at the front desk/phone and he was so helpful in the next steps of getting my car aligned. although I didn't get any work done these guys still deserve 6/5 stars, awesome shop.”

“The staff were very friendly and funny. They got my state inspection done efficiently, and they’re located in a nice shopping/food area if you need work done that will take longer and you don’t have transportation. There’s a Mexican restaurant, Japanese restaurant, Firehouse Subs, Food Lion, CVS, and some places to get your nails/hair done that are all within walking distance. They seem to operate on a first come, first serve basis, but you can also make an appointment online/over the phone to be safe. Will definitely be coming back!”
