These guys are the embodiment of what an automotive shop should be and truly live up to the chapel hill tire philosophy. I have a lowered car and it can be a pain to align it, however these guys didn't refuse nor complain and instead worked closely with me to get it on the machine and getting the alignment to the specs I'd prefer. Vaughn was awesome, talked to him about the car and what I wanted and he communicated very clearly to me. unfortunately, due to my car being lowered, it wouldn't work with their equipment. Still, they tried their hardest to help me, recommending me to diff shops and locations. I believe Chris was the gentlemen I spoke to at the front desk/phone and he was so helpful in the next steps of getting my car aligned. although I didn't get any work done these guys still deserve 6/5 stars, awesome shop.

I came here because found a good Google Review. My old car (2007 year) had an issue with starting. I decided to be with these guys because it seemed more professional and robust. Even though their work cost me 1,7K didn`t fix an engine evaporation issue at all and made more issues than they estimated for 91K!!! Unfriendly to foreigners and immigrants at all!!!!

I walked in to get my tires checked to make sure there was no issues or nails in my tires. They were very efficient and checked them in a timely manner! Very pleased with the overall care.

I've been taking my car to CHT since 2019, and for a long time thought they were great. They always seem to do right by me and do good work. However, it seems that the quality of service has declined precipitously in the last couple of years. Recently, every time I bring my car in they try to convince me that it needs about $1,000 worth of work. I had been telling myself that the car is getting older and so that might be expected. Yet this last occasion has me seriously questioning their integrity. I brought my car in because the cabin fan seemed to be blowing less and less air. In the shop, they told me that replacing the blower motor would cost $650. That seemed like a lot, but air conditioning is kind of necessary in the summer, so I agreed to that price. They told me the car would be available in the morning. At 11:30 the following morning I called to check in, having not heard anything. I was told somebody would call me back. When they eventually got back to me (via text), they said work was still ongoing. I asked for an invoice and was sent an email with an invoice indicating a total of $740. I emailed back several times asking for an explanation for the difference, with no response. When I returned the following day to pick up my car, they tried to charge me $980! The only thing the person at the counter would tell me is, ”I don't know what transpired." I managed to talk him down to $800, but I was running late for an out of town work trip and had no choice but to pay and leave. To top it all off, they reinstalled my steering wheel slightly crooked! (Accessing the blower motor requires removing the steering wheel.) I'm very frustrated with the experience, don't plan on bringing a vehicle here again, and would recommend finding a different shop

May 2024. My Girlfriends right rear brake pad started scrubbing on Thursday. She took her car there on Friday the very next day. She ends up with a texted quote for over $2400 to include new tires (she bought brand new tires from Firestone in November) an oil change (she got her oil changed just 2000 miles previous, sticker still on the window), a new CV joint (had a small hole in her CV boot) some fuel service, and new rotors and pads in the rear of the car. We asked that they only put new rear brake pads on and they told her they wouldn’t do it without replacing the rotors as well (over $600) said that was for “warranty purposes”. We opted out of doing business there and when we picked up the car they charged her $60 for a brake inspection hahaha! I did the pads myself. Rotors were perfectly fine and smooth. As stated earlier at the first hint of scrubbing she took the car in the very next day. Be careful doing business here.

The Chapel Hill Tire location on Fordham Boulevard. Is absolutely fantastic! Great and friendly staff and I really appreciate how hard they try to accommodate my schedule. I see no reason to go anywhere else. Bonus, they are way more honest than discount tire in Durham off of 15/501.

I need to share my experience this week at CHT.
The heat shield underneath my car came loose and I brought it in to be repaired.
I was prepared to pay at least $100 to have it fixed.
When my car was ready, I walked up to the counter and the service agent said- “I can’t charge you for this. It was a simple fix. You are all set Mr. Stephenson.”
This is how successful businesses are built- through trust and loyalty. Bravo CHT Forham!

We got a small screw in our tire on a Monday and they were able to fit me into the schedule and patch the tire within an hour or so that afternoon. Friendly service and no hassle for unnecessary items. The waiting room is well-appointed and bright and airy, with Wifi and refreshments. No complaints!

Be careful. They’ll try to sell you on unnecessary repairs such as brake services. It didn’t make sense and I decided to check for myself and the brake pads were barely worn and the rotors were in great condition. It’s shady business practice

I have been using this location since 1992 when I came in looking for a trailer hitch from a Ford Taurus. Great customer service over the years!
