Extremely disappointed in Brigadoon Animal Hospital!! The last few visits have been anything but pleasant. We took our dog in because he wasn’t eating and has been excessively thirsty, on top of having a huge lump on his neck. They did a FNA on the lump twice and said they didn’t see anything and the blood work came back good except for his calcium levels. The Dr wanted to recheck his calcium levels in 2 weeks, which was yesterday. My husband went in there and asked if they could only run a calcium test instead of redoing the entire blood panel (because that wouldn’t make sense to do so) and one of the ladies at the front got an attitude and said “no we can’t”. Fortunately a different employee asked and we were able to do that. Based off of those results, he needed an abdominal ultrasound done so I took him in this morning and dropped him off. My husband called me with the news that he has thyroid cancer and that he was ready to be picked up. So I go in and they hand me a piece of paper about the mass that was found and then proceed to have me pay. I asked if the Dr was going to talk to me and they said he’d call my husband….are you kidding me??? I was just told my dog has cancer (which I was told the exact opposite of TWO weeks prior) and the Dr isn’t even going to give me the common decency to speak with me in person??? You definitely wouldn’t give a human patient a phone call if they’re family member had cancer, you’d speak with them face to face. The only reason I was able to speak with the vet today is because I was angry about it. That is absolutely ridiculous and NOT how a veterinary practice should be ran!!! I never received a report for his abdominal ultrasound and I’m pretty sure the only reason his cancer was caught is because there was somebody else (who doesn’t work there) examining him today for his abdominal ultrasound and probably saw the huge lump on his neck and somebody else diagnosed his cancer, not the animal hospital. To top it off, the report I received says that there’s a ping pong size mass that wasn’t present 3 weeks ago…yes it was, it’s been there since at least Christmas!!!! So why does this document say that!?!? We will not be going back there and I’m hoping nobody else has to go through that. Being told your dog has cancer and being treated like the staff that you trust to care for your animal, could care less, it’s absolutely ridiculous!

Not compassionate about animals! Not caring! Very expensive! Almost $900 to spay two cats. Was told our one cat was a demon from hell!! Well duh your a stranger! We had to force their hand to give pain meds. Was told it's our cats fault she didn't have her collar on, gave attitude to us the whole time while our kids were crying. Go to Jacksonville, they actually understand animals.

They did a nice job getting my cat checked in for a routine exam. They went over all the necessary things on the checklist with me and were able to get him microchipped and registered. The cat got all the vaccines, and they were very good with him. They were very kind and polite. I recommend this vet for routine checkups.

Staff is ok and friendly. Prices are ridiculously high. Vet's are caring and friendly. All in all I'm not highly impressed by this business compared to others I've been associated with. Main reason is the prices for some of thier services. Planning on changing to a different Vet.

I have been using Brigadoon for so many years and the kindness they have shared for our animals has always been so genuine. We just can't say enough great things about the Vets and staff.

Good service but wait times are ridiculous especially for just a routine appointment for vaccines. Appointment was at 4 PM and now my dog is being seen at 5:10 PM

We have been taking our beagles to Brigadoon Animal Hospital for over 25 years. We have a little beagle that has
Symmetric Lupoid Onychitis. This is a very painful nail disease. It is difficult to treat and varies with each dog. Hanks nails were sore, some had fallen off, and he was in constant pain. Dr. Morton took time to research and learn the best treatment for our dog. As a result, our little Hank has healthy, pain free nails. We are very thankful to Dr. Morton and Rachel for all the kindness and care they continue to give both of our beagles.
At Brigadoon Animal Hospital, we get open communion, the best care possible, friendly staff, and reasonable prices.
Very Happy at Brigadoon!

I had a prescription from another vet since I just moved to the area. I was instructed they would not sell me prescription pet food even with a prescription from another vet.I was also at the facility a few days previous and got pricing from one of the same staff (long blonde hair and glasses) but I was never told that I needed to be seen by the vet before they would sell me the food. Now, I'm trying to figure it out.. it's not a controlled substance; it's pet food

Not as good as I hoped it would be. Wasn't happy with the doctor's attitude. The techs were all great and caring with my very scared puppy. Thank you ladies for your patience and understanding. You made her visit easier.

We moved to Swansboro a year and a half ago, and this was one of the few hospitals that were accepting new clients. We couldn't be happier with their service. All of their doctors are thoughtful and patient, always answering all of our questions and offering alternatives when they don't have a specific service. My dog loves going to there and getting treats and belly rubs from the staff.
