I so enjoyed meeting Peter and looking at all of the beautiful and varied art in their historic building. After purchasing a lovely silver necklace and leaving the state I realized that I had left my necklace there after removing it to try on the new one! Peter went out of his way to Fedex the necklace back to me -- I was so touched by the care and concern that he showed. What a trifecta to find one-of-a-kind artworks in a historical family building with a truly good human being running it! Don't miss this gallery when in the area!

Susan and Peter could not have been more helpful with my purchase. In a very friendly and professional way, they overcame my repeated protests to them personally delivering the painting to my house within a few days. This was a 4-hour trip, each way, for them. I didn’t know dedication to what you do was around like this any more. They’re incredibly nice people, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

My father and I visited Whiteside Art Gallery and were blown away. Wow, just Wow. The artwork is amazing and the gallery space is as well. Susan and Peter are students of contemporary art (really, all art) and a wealth of knowledge. It was great to see their vision for the space. Our families have been connected for years and I know Bill is proud of the gallery today!

This gallery has a great collection of art from artists worldwide. Whatever your passion for art, you will find one of the best selections and styles in the southeast! The owners are delightful and the Whiteside family has been in this lush mountainous region in NC for centuries. They are to be commended for their restoration of this church transforméd into a delightful gallery.

Very nice art gallery. Owners have really taken special care to restore the old church. It is absolutely stunning! Interesting art with a variety of artists. You'll have to visit each week! New pieces coming in often. I love their outdoor art as well. Very warm and welcoming people.
