I have been going here for several years now and have always had a great experience! Everyone is very nice and Jennifer always does a great job. She has a wealth of information about hair and how to make my curly hair behave. She is very conscientious and disinfects all areas between clients. She takes excellent notes and always asks if there were any problems or anything I want changed. I highly recommend the Village Salon.

I used this Salon in Cashiers last summer for highlights, done with foil and hair cuts. The highlights we’re fine, but I had to go back 4 times to get layers cut in my hair so it would have body and style.I paid for each hair cut and tipped, of course, too, even though the Hair Stylist offered to do the re-does for free. The shampoo gal work so hard on my scalp that it hurt. She is also the receptionist. The salon was very conscientious regarding Covid. Temperatures were taken on the sidewalk before customers entered and everyone had masks on.This summer, I called to make an appointment and the receptionist was rude. It was her attitude more than what she said.I was able to make an appointment for a haircut, but not for highlights. She said that at the haircut, the Hair stylist would tell me about an appointment for highlights.I thought that was strange.Today I went to the appointment for the haircut. No one had a mask on.I asked about it and the hairstylist said that” we don’t mask”. She asked if I was comfortable with that and I said that I wasn’t.This is especially true now as we are currently having cases of even vaccinated people getting Covid Delta in Cashiers.I asked her if she had a mask. She said she didn’t. I asked if she was vaccinated. She replied that she was not vaccinated. I told her that I was uncomfortable in the salon and I left.I tried to be very polite. She didn’t seem to care.I will not return and I hope that people who want to be safe from Covid will read this and not go.Service: Hairstyling

This is a wonderful find in Cashiers. Perfect location, off the main road up a hill by itself. This is a retro, drive up motel that is quiet and clean with very spacious rooms. The beds are comfortable, nice linens and towels. My room had a mini fridge, coffee maker ( coffee was very good), TV, ironing board and iron. Check in was quick and I felt very welcomed. My sister traveled with me, we had separate rooms and both felt very safe. There is a coffee shop just down the road, Buck's, and a fabulous restaurant, The Orchard, a little further down the same road. Just perfect for a weekend getaway at a very affordable price. I truly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. This place is a sweet little gem! I think you will agree.

On my third night staying here, a man who does 'odd paint jobs' for the hotel tried to get into my room. He approached me in the parking lot then after I went into my room he tried to open the door. A few moments later, he returned with his headlights shining in my room and stood in front of my window. The police were called (after he apparently tried to get into another person's room) and the owner of the hotel, Chad, was notified by police. The man (employed by the hotel) was allowed to stay on the hotel property for the night even though he was drunk and harassing patrons. The officer said, 'Technically he didn't break any laws, except drinking and driving but I gave him a warning.' Chad (the owner) had vouched for the man allowing him to stay on the property. I have never felt so unsafe and genuinely scared. Thankfully, I was reimbursed for my stay but that does not make up for putting patron's safety at risk!

Our inn was off the highway up on a hill-that provided cool breezy evenings as we sipped our wine and enjoyed the music coming from the restaurant below and in front of our room. The staff was friendly and the room was spotless. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

My wife and I are very familiar with Western North Carolina. We have stayed in several places in Highlands, Sylva, Cashiers, and along The Blue Ridge Parkway. This is our second stay at Cashiers Village Inn. As we build a new home in Chinquapin, our plan is to continue booking with Chad, the inn keeper. We have traveled extensively all over the world and the U.S.A., nesting in accommodations that are strategically located and have value. Our room has been clean, roomy, and comfortable. The Inn is in the center of the village of Cashiers. Our stay has been in December 2017 and January 2018 when Cashiers is less touristed. The internet is quite reliable. The rooms have good sound proofing. Chad is very accomodating, and takes time to answer questions. Considering the other options in and around Cashiers I would highly recommend this place to stay.Ken E. Edwards IIIAtlanta,
