24-hr availability is an essential service to pet owners. My dogs and I have always been treated with skill and, importantly, empathy and kindness in stressful times. I’m grateful for this facility and the staff.

I called Quartet freaking out when my dog had an accident. They put me on a waitlist & called me within 48 hours to tell me my dog would be okay and surgery was not needed. They didn’t have to review her case and call me, but they did. Deborah who I spoke to was amazing in every way. She listened, she cared, & she helped. I pray my dogs will never have to go there, but in the event that they did in the future…I truly trust the hands of those who work there. They really do care for our pets. My dog is already doing better and is going to be just fine. Thank you so much for caring and for all you do for pets in need!

Dr. Hendricks examined our Bichon, Noel, and then clearly explained our options. Noel was nervous but relaxed a little with the Drs confident and gentle handling.

Quartet Specialty Hospital is great. Definitely NOT cheap however our fur babies are worth it. Dr. Amy Brinkley is a new surgeon there and she went above and beyond explaining procedures and communicating with us. My dog had surgery for anal sac cancer and he’s doing well now❤️

The facility is lovely and generally speaking the staff seem friendly; however, my experience was not great.
I was referred here by my vet because of concerns that my dog was having breathing difficulties. I sent a video of the episode to my vet and they recommended I go to quartet because they had the skills and equipment to manage breathing issues. Luckily, the episode stopped, but they still recommended that I take him in so I did.
My dog was taken back to the back immediately when we checked in for assessment, which was great. Then I was put in a room to wait for him and didn’t hear anything for about 20 minutes. When the doctor finally came in, she simply stated that he was fine and that there was nothing concerning from his physical exam. I asked if she wanted to see the video of the episode that he had had that caused my vet concern. To which she answered, “I guess if you want to show it to me”. Incredibly rude and, in my opinion, indicative of someone who is not doing a thorough job. She then proceeded to give me a condescending breakdown of the condition my dog has had for over a year. She said the only other thing she could do would be a chest x-ray to confirm her clinical exam. Of course that was an additional $350, but since I had zero confidence in her clinical skills, I felt compelled to do it.
After spending $500 and still not having seen my dog before about an hour, a vet tech cracked opened the door and let him in with a temporary least wrapped around his middle. We sat for about 15 minutes while she was reading the x-rays, then a tech came in with a bag with a prescription bottle and sheet of paper and said “ she said he looks fine, you can go.”
For the amount of money I spent in that place it wouldn’t have killed the vet to come in and tell me the results herself.
I suppose that’s the luxury of being an emergency practice - no matter how you treat people you know that they’ll have to come back if the situation warrants it. It was a very disappointing experience.

We went in for an emergency surgery and could have been more impressed with the team. From check in to check out the process was so smooth. Incredibly thankful for the doctors and staff for their care of our sweet girl.

Quartet changed my dog Bruce’s life. In June of 2023, we found him wandering around emaciated and scratched up in Raleigh with a malformed leg. He was almost hit by a car before he jumped into my partner’s arms and we took him home.
After two weeks of no one coming forward to claim him, we took him in (easiest decision of our lives). It took us a year, but we were finally able to get him on the schedule for surgery with Quartet.
Dr. Gallagher, his team, and the entire staff of Quartet were better than we could have ever hoped for. Not only was the work done on Bruce’s leg nothing short of genius, but everyone was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. If we ever need specialized surgery again, Quartet will be our number 1 choice every time. They are truly miracle workers.

We love Quartet, emergency vet care. They took us in after a call with no waiting and saw us immediately. The staff, especially Michael, was so helpful and Dr. Abby Lang was wonderfully kind to our puppy. I was able to get into see a doctor without an appointment for an emergency.

We saw a knowledgeable and caring vet surgeon who didn’t recommend surgery at this time for our dog. I felt well supported and was able to get an alternative plan for his care. (My dog was very relaxed too! See picture.)

I have unfortunately had to bring all three of my animals here on separate occasions. I can't speak highly enough of the staff and their level of care. I want to especially thank Miss Shelly for always putting me at ease, and making sure the process is as smooth as possible. She is a joy to see up front during a difficult time.
