“My husband and I had our reception at the Matthews House and we have nothing but amazing things to say about this venue! The venue is gorgeous inside and outside and has a wonderful charm that makes it extra special! Sarah, the owner, is wonderful to work with and she made our wedding planning process such a breeze! It is such a wonderful plus that this venue offers a day of coordinator too! This venue is in the heart of downtown Cary so it is a great location! We used there in house caterer for our dinner buffet and the food was delicious! This venue is great!!”
“Through the generosity of a classmate, my high school class held our 50th class reunion at MacGregor Downs last weekend.. The venue was amazing. The main hall was filled with joy and laughter. The tent where dinner was served opened up with stunning views of the golf course and lake. The services, from the cocktail hour, delicious buffet dinner and service staff were all impeccable. Our every need was met with a smile. The center stage was perfect for The Chairmen of the Board that entertained us. Some of our group enjoyed the Sunday brunch the following morning. You made our once in a lifetime event so special.

“The Mayton is my favorite place to stay while on business in Cary. The hotel has such a welcoming vibe and makes you feel at home. The staff is so professional and kind. Most notably, Lindsay at the front desk has one of the most authentic, positive, and upbeat energy I always look forward to.”

“We had my son’s birthday party here and everything was very easy and the staff were so nice and helpful. Josh was our main contact the day of but all staff were amazing. The kids had a wonderful time bowling, the food came out plated and plentiful at the decided time, and they helped with extra plates and cake serving tool. The kids loved the arcade games to end the event. And we didn’t have to clean up! Very hands off and easy for us and I would recommend for parties in the future.”
“Loved the atmosphere, but I didn't like the pressure to buy something. While standing in line to get into the building, an employee came out to tell us the rules. She told us many things, including we are required to buy 2 items. Sorry, but no, it's not happening.”

“Natasha and John are an incredible power couple with a solid approach to putting on an amazing wedding. We were won over by the food and beauty of the venue but our wedding was so much more than that thanks to their attention to detail and assertive approach. We did the all inclusive package which meant they coordinated our photographer, DJ, service staff, linens and more. The only thing they don’t provide are flowers and cake. We opted for a desert option from Chef John’s menu and we had so much free time not spent coordinating vendors that we were able to DIY our decorations. I will recommend them to anyone looking for a local venue!”
