I have been taking my son to this school for two years, my son's change has been so significant. I completely recommend the school from the moment you enter, the atmosphere, the teachers and the director are wonderful.

We've been with Sounds and Colors for two months and have loved our experience! The teachers take such good care of our 18 month old and he is so excited to run into school every day. The miraculously get him to take great naps and eat all his food which helped him finally start sleeping through the night at home. He gets plenty of outside of time, weather permitting, and at pick up the classrooms are always immaculate undergoing a good cleaning every day.Any time he has hit a development trouble spot, they've worked with him on it and have also helped give us tools as first time parents to work with him at home. His teachers are always so reassuring and encouraging as we work with him together. In addition to fantastic teachers, the director Ana Maria is so warm and welcoming always providing helpful information about the latest happenings at the school.Every day we're blown away with what he learns and have loved seeing our son thrive!

Our kids were at this Sounds and Colors location for 1 year and a few months. This location was poorly managed, relatively unclean, and understaffed. Initially, there were some folks who cared about providing a good daycare environment, but there was a significant amount of staff turnover which suggested deeper organization problems. Top level management does not seem truly qualified to run a daycare and was dismissive to serious parental concerns. Communication from management to parents was awful.

We love Sounds & Colors at CV. Our toddler has been there since he was 3 months and is adored by, and adores, his teachers and lil buddies. The new director (started Fall 2023) is communicative and energetic and the teachers are all so engaged with the kids. They host lots of family events which has been a great way of meeting other families and getting to know our child's classmates. Lots of outside playtime, art activities, Spanish, music and dance. Highly recommended.

The new director Ana has been amazing supporting us as new parents. Our baby is in the Nido and has had incredible care and attention. Ana is responsive and listens to our questions and concerns. The children get to explore different things each day. The staff take photos and put together a portfolio for each child, and share events in a newsletter each month. The program is wonderful and I am happy my baby has this team to care for him.

Does anyone answer the phones around here or respond to messages at any point throughout the day? I’ve called on numerous occasions and left a voicemail, still no response. I suppose they don’t need the business. And i most certainly wouldn’t want to have an emergency and need to get to someone one day and no one responds / answers. Great reviews but how does anyone get in contact with the admin!

Sounds and Colors is exactly what we were looking for in a daycare: they are Spanish-immersive, care about the children, and ensure everything is done in a fun and loving environment. They may not have all the bells and whistles of other daycares, but that's okay because they have the important things. The meals are a culinary masterpiece--everyone comments that our daughter is a great eater and Sounds and Colors plays a major part in that. Also, every one there knows you. The director, Anne, is fantastic! She recognizes your car as soon as you pull in. She is communicative if your child is having an off day--she and the teachers have been the catalyst to scheduling a few doctors appointments. (Thanks for catching those ear infections early!) I love the parent-teacher conferences and the crafts. You can't go wrong with the family feel of Sounds & Colors.

All 3 of our daughters have attended Carolina Kids Academy which is now part of the Sounds and Colors family of day cares. We love the teachers and staff. Their before/after school care has been a life saver with kids in both day care and school. We can't be happier!

Our almost 4 YO has been a CKA for since she was a little over 1 YO. We chose this school because of the 'family feel' you get from the director, assistant director and teachers. This is a privately owned school, not a franchise. You can feel the personal touches all over and there is VERY little teacher turn over compared to other daycares. She loves going to 'school-school' and always has a smile on her face when we pick her up. The neighborhood setting is a plus too. I love that they are situated within a very nice neighborhood and are not right off a main road. Thank you CKA for providing a loving and nurturing environment for our kids!

Did not have a chance to see the quality of the teachers, because was thrilled right at the front door. The assistant director talks like a security guard in a juvenile court. No "hello", no introduction, no smile, constant pressure "do you have any other questions?" after answering my previous question with 2-3 words (no-no, your highness, and sorry for bothering you with such a boring thing like my kid's needs).

We have had both our kids here for more than 3 years now. Having left another center for not having taken proper care of our child, we can definitely attest to how unique and wonderful CKA is. The owner/director definitely has the children's interests first in all that she does. The staff is first-rate! We have never had a negative experience and my kids are happy every day to come to school and have thrived in every classroom. Teachers know every child in the entire school and care about each one. From infancy to pre-K this is definitely a one of a kind childcare center.
