DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! The wigs are NOT updated with the latest trends in the wiggy world and they are VERY overpriced. I wish I'd kept driving to Durham or went to Raleigh. I repeat, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! I'm a synthetic and human wig wearer due to health issues ... this was a quick stop to avoid driving a further distance. The owners aren't even familiar with the products. It was a disrespectful to the beauty industry and the Black culture.

What I am not going to do is spend money in places where we are the target audience but we are not respected. I witness someone purchase her items and (the owner) I’m guessing did not desensitize an item. The young lady left out and the owner chased after her and then followed her back in the store rolling her eyes and making statements as if the girl may have place other items in her bag. The young lady did not steal but because this was assumed and the lack of respect, rolling of the eyes in front of several other customers. I put my things back and will no longer come to this location.

If I could give no stars I would. The old lady at the register watched me with a disgusted look on her face like I was doing something wrong. Will not be shopping here again

I highly recommend shopping at this hair store as both my mom and I absolutely love it. The wigs are of excellent quality and available at a reasonable and affordable price. The employees are always friendly, and I appreciate that they don't constantly monitor you while you're browsing. Without fail, I consistently find exactly what I'm searching for in this hair store.

They are charging $41 dollars for bold gold wig glue when the same exact bottle is only 18.97 on Amazon. I understand the whole profit thing but to charge more than twice as much is outrageous. Be careful shopping in here!

I went to this beauty supply store yesterday to purchase hair. I asked for 24-26 inches which the Asian associate stated 18 inches and 20 inches is long enough. She then made a comment that my own hair wasn’t 26 inches. I felt that was very ignorant and unprofessional of her to say. I’m asking what I’m interested in buying from your store and what I need. If you do not have the products say we don't offer that at this store but don’t make inappropriate comments. She didn’t seem to want to look at the hair on the back wall that I was looking for. They don’t offer many options for human hair. I ended up going to Carolina Beauty supply store in Raleigh and they had more options with the length of hair I was looking for. I will never come back to Peoples Beauty. They don’t have many options to buy and customer service is terrible.

First and last time here. It didn't pass the vibe check. This is a huge store with a lot of selection but very price (Miss Jessies leave in condish was 18.99 vs 13.99 at target).The last time I went to a beauty supply store was back in 2010ish and sadly not much has changed. The shopping experience was poor. I went in for braiding hair and there is a big selection but pricing isn't easily visible so it was overwhelming.The couple who ran the shop just look over but aren't very approachable or helpful. I forgot how uncomfortable it is to shop in Asian run hair stores as a black person. It gave me the ick. I really wanted to support a local business, but I'll stick to the target or amazon.

Very big and carries alot of material except the loc hair used for doing extensions. Owner not very knowledgeable about black people hair alolthough there was a ton of black products. Since locs are a trend that is not going away it might be useful to watch some YouTube videos. He was not very personable. Not sure if I will go back again.

I purchased a drawstring ponytail (pretty pricey) from this location, and when I got home and opened the packaging, there were pieces of an unknown substance all throughout the ponytail. I did not put any product in the ponytail, nor did I wash it yet. When I promptly returned the item to the store, the manager Lee would not even hear me out, or do the right thing and let me exchange the defective product. He was incredibly rude, short, and dismissive. If you value your money, I would avoid this location.
