While I waited about an hour and a half for the optometrist after my appointment time, the receptionists were complaining loudly about a patient. This place is indeed a mess like the prior reviews have suggested. I will not be returning.

My fiancé had an appointment this morning for 11:20pm this review needs a bit of a back story to make some sense though. My fiancé lost his glasses on a vacation and this was an emergency needing to get replacement frames we both have been using my eye doctor since being in our early teens. We usually go to a different location but given the emergency and needing glasses ASAP he took a cancelation appointment to get what was needed.We called ahead of time to the appointment this morning because we were worried about running two minutes late because of traffic. The lady on the phone was rude and said that his appointment was at 11 am and that they could not see him. This was not the case as he had only gotten a Conformation for said appointment at 8pm the following night. They tried to say they left a voice message on his phone to move the appointment for some reason. They left that voice message at 6pm welll past office hours and my fiancé was working and had no way of checking that before his appointment . It’s asinine that they think they can change peoples appointments that late at night less than 24 hours prior to the appointment and not send an email to confirm this is okay.Continuing this unfortunate story we get there at exactly 11:20 speeding to get here because they are refusing to see him and trying to “find a different appointment today at another office” it is absolutely ridiculous that people who have been coming to this eye doctors for 10 plus years to get this type of treatment. The assistant manager REA or something along the lines of that (didn’t look at her name tag very well) was refusing to answer there policy questions and just kept repeating that she was trying to find an appointment else where even though we said that we just wanted an extension on the prescription so he could get his glasses and go. All of the people behind the front desk were stand offish and had no costumer service skills they want to pawn your problems off to others and blame the person coming in rather than taking accountability for the problems with the services they are trying to provide. They treated us like we missed an appointment and we’re not willing to work with us. LISTEN TO THESE BAD REVIEWS. I will be calling the corporate number to discuss why this location is not following through with the right protocols to keep there customers shopping with them. I would leave them no stars if possible given that he was told he wouldn’t be seen until October second and there were no appointments anywhere they could find to then magically be able to see him at the original location of our normal my eye doctor. Ridiculous unprofessional and disrespectful. -100/10

2/2023Been going to this office for 14 years. Ordered the exacts same lenses the last three times, so nothing special or different, and was promised delivery of Feb 28. It is now Mar. 10 and still no lenses or answer why they are delayed. Long time customer and $540.00 just for lenses, and I can't even get them on time. This place has gone down hill drastically since My Eye Doctor took over. Will be looking elsewhere for my next set of lenses.Update 9/4/2023I have been a patient of MyEyeDr since they took over the office at Cornerstone Plaza., 1975 High House Rd, Cary, NC 27519. Before that, I was a patient of the previous practice there for 7 years. When I ordered my new lenses in Feb. 2023 they were almost 3 weeks later than the promised date. Then when I finally did get them, the person who "took care of me" handed me the glasses and walked away. She did not offer to fit them, adjust them, clean them, see if they were ok, etc. Now 8 months later, I find a defect in my right lens and the office manager says I must have done something to them. It is a little squarish mark on the lens that looks like the coating has come off. I still have glasses that are as old as 13 years that I use for backups and none of them have a mark like this. Being how important my glasses are to me because I cannot see anything without them, I have become very careful over the years to use only lens cleaning fluid with a microfiber cloth to clean them. I also store them on my nightstand when I go to bed and never put them in anything that could damage or scratch them. I am very upset that being a long time loyal customer that she took this attitude with me and would not help me. I have also noticed on the Google reviews that I am not the only dissatisfied customer with this office and that the review ratings give this office 2.6 out of 5 stars. The prices just keep going up and the customer service has pretty taken a dump. The cost of the lenses alone was well over $500.00. My family and I(we all wear vision correction) will never spend another cent at MyEyeDr, and have found better prices with much better customer service.

As soon as I walked through the door the receptionist Carla greeted and helped me set up an appointment 11 days earlier than my planned appointment! Then Ms. Redhka repaired and replaced a screw on the temple of my frame. Both were so kind and courteous. I will recommend to friends, colleagues and family.

On 06/29/2023 I visited the office. The staff at the reception was very rude and unprofessional. They asked me to sign the paperwork, including an extra $59 for an “in-depth examination” of the eyes. This procedure requires the dilation of pupils, is not required by the contact lens exam, and is not covered by insurance. In the past, they would ask if you wanted it to be done and inform you about an extra fee. Of course, I knew this trick and did not fall for it. This is on the borderline between dishonesty and unlawful activity.The doctor did not care about answering my questions. She was unhappy that I declined multi-focal contacts and gave me the wrong prescription for the contacts. This is despite the fact that I asked to prescribe everything the same as I had last time and checked before I left to make sure I was getting the right prescription. I realized I had the wrong contacts after leaving the office and could not see well.On 06/30/2023 I had to go back to the office to order the right contacts (they could not do that over the phone). After much discussion, the manager agreed to order the right ones.On 07/12/2023 (after receiving a text message that my contacts have arrived) I went to the office to pick up both my contacts and new eyeglasses. However, I was told that I had to bring back the old (wrong) contacts before they give me new (correct ones). I said that I needed correct contact lenses now and besides, no one told me that before, and that information was not included in the text message I received. Moreover, since my eyeglasses were also incorrect, I said that I will bring the old contact lenses when I come back to pick up my eyeglasses. But, the manager, Aurelia, refused.So, to summarize, the doctor prescribed the wrong contact lenses. It took me another visit to the office to order the correct ones. I waited for the correct ones to arrive for almost two weeks and when they did, and I had to go to the office the third time, they refused to give them to me.

Just had a wonderful experience at My Eye Doctor on High House Road in Cary, due to the Fantastic Service provided by Aurelia!!! I had broken the spring on one side of my glasses which can not be repaired so I was looking to see if the existing frames were still available and would fit with my existing lens. Aurelia looked at ALL the existing frames and found 1 but knew that I would not pay $259 for just frames, so she came up with the creative idea of just getting new "Temple Arms" to replace the existing ones. She found some that were very similar and fit my frame so in her words "She brought my glasses back to life again.". And apparently they were spare parts that they had so the cost was $0, all she asked was that I give her a 5 star review. And I said "Of Course!!!!". So THANKS Aurelia for the fantastic Customer Service!!!

This company has really deteriorated and continues to go down I have been using Eye doctor for years when I first started that service was good but it's no longer. the last pair of glasses I got was 3 years ago and I was never able to wear it because it was not lined up properly for my eyes I have been back there multiple times trying to get my glasses right and was never able to get it fixed, finally I gave up. I have not been back since then until recently cause I needed to get new glasses. The service That I received from the doctor was fine but the service I received a front when choosing glasses was terrible I got a promise date for glasses on the 30th of June today is the 6th of July and I still do not have my glasses and no follow up. I called to find out what's going on and they told me it's only a promised date and that date can not be guaranteed, meanwhile my insurance was already billed. I will not be back.

I've only visited the location once but I've had to talk to the front desk multiple times. They were patient, friendly, and made sure I got exactly what I needed whether it be appts or information. I absolutely loved working with Marquee (sorry about the spelling). I wish I could move them to my MyEyeDr location ?

Two things happened here. The staff are friendly, but they obviously have management problems.1. I had a pair of new glasses with brand frame. When I picked it up, the staff keep the brand glasses box for himself and gave me a 'MyEyeDr' glasses box. I was careful enough for asking about it, and I received my original brand glasses box. If I hadn't asked for it, there might have been a brand glasses box sold on eBay.2. I had an eye exam for contacts two months ago. Until today nobody had ever called me and tell me my order status. Today I gave them a call and the staff told me my contacts 'just' arrived today, and said she will call me back when those are ready, but she never did. Later I visited them in person. Another staff told me I need an extra appointment to receive my contacts, and helped me to make another appointment. I understand all the procedure, but I cannot accept the fact that no one nor the system had informed me about this status. If I hadn't visited them myself, I would have been kept in waiting forever. Anyway, I'm still waiting for my contacts...

Ineffective communication. Associate do not tell what you are being charged for upfront and inflate prices by the time you check out. Entire team of employees are not dedicated to ensure that the eye exam experience is positive for customers and overall seem to have corrupt practices. The manager at this store treated me rudely and the front desk employees and manager seemed disinterested in ensuring that patients are heard and understood. Definitely, a very bad experience and do not recommend.

The worst myeyedr office. So unaccomodating. Horrible Indian lady at the front desk. I should have paid attention to the reviews. They're not lying. Sounds like the bad experience begins at the front office and keeps giving. I will NEVER book an appointment at this location again.

I have used them for few years in the past, but for some reason the service and quality has gone down in last year or so.I made 2 pair of glasses and both of them started to have scratches in 2- 3 months. I have been careful with them and in fact I have glasses from 2019-2020 which is still looks brand new.I was told that they couldn’t do anything to the glasses as you need a special protection plan for them to repair it without charging me.I would rather go to Costco and get my glasses made this year as they stand by their quality and product.I am afraid they lost a customer today.

I made my appointment, got a email saying my appointment with Dr. XXX is all set and We’ll see you on Friday, the date, and time. I received a voice message the day before my appointment saying “this is XXX from My Eye Doctor reminding you about your appointment on Friday, the date, and time please call us you have any questions or concerns and we will see you tomorrow” imagine my irritation when I show up for my appointment and was told that I did not confirm my appointment when they call me and left the voice message so they schedule another person in my time slot. No where did the email that was sent nor the voice message they left said I needed to confirm my appointment, the email said I was all set, and the voice message said only to call if I had questions or concern. When I show both communications that I got to the receptionist she said sorry but that was their policy and she would be happy to rebook my appointment. Taking my business elsewhere!

Terrible service. Long waits on scheduled appointments. They struggle to get even the simple contact orders correct, and then have such poor internal communication you have to explain your situation to someone different each time. No excuses just save your self the headache and time.

I love the friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk inside. My doctor was amazing! I don’t think I’ve ever had such a thorough exam. This was my first time at this location, but I will be coming back next year!
