I had the absolute pleasure of working with Miller Lending Group on two of my recent loans, and I can honestly say it was the most seamless and efficient experience I’ve ever had. From the start, their team was professional, responsive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the options available to me.
They walked me through every step of the process, ensuring I understood the terms, rates, and overall commitment. I never once felt overwhelmed or lost in the paperwork. What truly stood out was how personalized the entire experience felt. They genuinely cared about finding the right loan to fit my financial needs and goals, not just pushing a sale. From the very beginning, Loan officer Danny Davis( I highly recommend) was incredibly professional, attentive, and patient, guiding me through every step of the loan process with ease.

Be advised they will ask for information multiple times after they've already gotten it. Sometimes the underwriters they use do not understand anything other than a W2 type tax return. After giving an approval letter Miller lending completely backpedaled. So do not count on that piece of paper from them to mean anything. I hope you have a better experience I just didn't have the patience and didn't have to have a loan through them. I had kept another lending option open I'm glad I did. They seem nice, they all respond promptly but at the end of the day they did not secure me lending using a process I was comfortable.

I just want to spend some time speaking my thoughts on Miller lending from the employee perspective. I have been working for Miller Lending for about a year now and have been a Loan Officer for 3.5 years in sum. I started as an LO Assistant under Austin Herbert, while he was working on his own venture in Lighthouse Lending. He took a steadfast approach in my learning and growth as not only his assistant but as a person. He met me where I was and always strived to make me better. He put me at the head of his ship in a lot of ways and aways made sure I had the means to be successful under him. For better or worse he was a Lighthouse. I worked with Austin Back-to-Back in a 10-by-10 office in Holly Springs for two years. I watched him work diligently towards all his goals while keeping his family and those closest to him all happy, even to the determent of his own success. He always has a smile on his face and a positive approach to complex situations. And all of this kindness only strengthened his resolve to help every client he came across.
In November of 2023 – Austin and I, after months of talk and structuring finally settled into a new office in Cary, The Miller Lending Office. Gordon The Founder of Miller Lending had since stepped back and Daniel and Justin – His Sons – Have stepped in to the role of leadership. Austin himself is beside them, helping to guide the ship. I learned what it means to be a broker and got my feet wet in being a Loan Officer under the Roof of Lighthouse, but our goal, Austin's Goal, was always growth. To see a Vision beyond just the two of us. He set out to create a company, but it became apparent that his underlying dream was to create a legacy. A standard practice that could Built upon.
Now, Miller Lending has done just this. Gordon made sure of that. What he built was a concept that, to me, is a No Brainer. A straightforward way to save money on a Home Purchase or Refinance. A way that realistically is doable by most any broker but seldom is. 3 years ago, I wouldn’t have understood even a little bit why that is, but with Austin's tutelage, I was introduced to an industry that I have real potential for growth in. and With Miller Lending I have a workable model, a Specific Value Add that I can feel happy and motivated to offer my clients.
I have worked hard to get where I am. There is no doubt in my mind about that. But I also know that I would not be where I was if it was not for the people that I work with. The people that I share an office space with, the people who I share my ideas, and troubles, and just so much time with. We are a broker shop dedicated to helping people with arguably one of the biggest purchases of their lives, we work with self-employed borrowers, first time home buyers, veterans, low income, investors, second home buyers, and low credit all alike. Just as each person in our office comes from a different walk of life, so do our clients. But we are here to help everyone. I have had a lot of jobs, but this one is different. Here I make a difference, one day at a time, one loan at a time, one person at a time. I feel the work I am doing, and I see the importance of it. Miller Lending, Lighthouse Lending, Austin Herbert, Gordon, Daniel, Justin Miller, Brian, Danny, Cameron, All of us. We are working to make a difference.

We cannot recommend enough!! Working with Cameron & Brian was such a great experience. Cameron took such amazing care of us and made this experience so positive. As first time home buyers it felt intimidating starting the process, but Cameron’s expertise put us at ease as he guided us through the process. His incredible knowledge, work ethic, and communication skills are something we appreciate so much.
This team is spectacular and even with the chaos of a quick close, they did it with ease. Now we get to enjoy our new home thanks to such hard work!
