I’ve had a terrible experience with two separate vehicles here in the service department. I was quoted massive amounts of money for repairs on my own and my partner’s vehicle. I paid for part of mine and decided to get a second opinion on the other suggestions; she paid for part of hers and also decided to get a second opinion on repairs quoted over 6000 dollars. In both cases, the second opinion mechanic said that those repairs weren’t needed. In one case, they found an explanation for the issue we were experiencing that was as simple as a fluid leak, rather than engine replacement. I regret all the money I sank before getting a second opinion now that I know they aren’t trustworthy. I guess that’s how they pay for their ostentatious building.

I don’t like to go to car dealerships. It literally kills my soul. This place, has changed everything for me. I will go to this place time and time again. Feras was our salesman and I literally want to be his best friend. Please, give this place a try. They are good people. They even let their employees bring their dogs to work… need I say more?!!!!!

EDIT: General Manager contacted me and we found out it was a mistake on their end, apologized very earnestly, and gave me a full refund. I agree that mistakes do happen and with their eagerness to correct the issue I have adjusted my review and would work with the dealership in the future.

Working with Johnson Subaru of Cary was a fantastic experience! This is the 4th car we have purchased from this dealership and have nothing but wonderful things to say. We want to especially note the amazing salesperson we dealt with our last two car purchases, Rebecca A. She is a complete pleasure to work with. She is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to listen to you and goes 100% out of her way to ensure you are completely satisfied.
If you are considering a car purchase or lease, I would highly recommend Johnson Subaru of Cary, be sure and ask for Rebecca. She is AMAZING !!

I drove from Richmond for a used vehicle listed at a very competitive price. May, our consultant, was extremely accommodating and answered all of questions and made the buying procress much easier than the 3 previous dealers I've purchased from.
I'd gladly buy from this dealer if we have needs in the future.
Bonus points that they offered the additional warranties but did not overpush them on us.

The lot layout is challenging to begin with.
But this GM should be ashamed of himself. I couldn't find a single thing. It's just one giant lot of a mixture of new used customer trade ins junkers repairs sold cars. Absolutely no sense to the lot everything is just everywhere. If I go in for a wrx i literally have to search the whole lot to find them all.
I don't have time for that. I left.

I recently brought my Subaru to Johnson Subaru in Cary for a scheduled maintenance appointment. Unfortunately, I discovered a dead battery beforehand and had to reschedule. The representative I spoke with over the phone was very helpful and understanding, urging me to bring the car in as soon as possible.
Service Advisor, Clayton Golden, was exceptional. He took the time to research the battery issue and determined that it could be replaced under warranty. I was pleasantly surprised and grateful for his diligence in finding a solution that saved us money. Clayton's excellent customer service is a credit to Johnson Subaru. We had positive experiences when we purchased our car here and continue to be impressed with the dealership. I highly recommend Johnson Subaru.

I think this is the only dealership I will deal with, as long as I live in Cary. John Moore is a great salesman who was patient with my texts and questions. He is a patient and polite person, who truly loves what he sells. I could not be happier with the experience with the finance manager as well. On an uber busy day, I was in and out of there in around 2 hours. That was impressive to me. I wish them all the best, but now to not visit again for awhile. Time to start enjoying my new car and pay it off first!
From the front desk greeter who greeted to me to every single employee I interacted with, they are always kind and helpful. I must say that this dealership and the manager at this location might need to advertise near the other dealerships, they are head and shoulders above other area Subaru dealers.

We couldn't be happier with our experience with your dealership! Our sales agent, Rebecca Ahaus, was such a pleasure to work with. Her professionalism, attention to detail and prompt communication skills made the whole car purchase a pleasurable experience.
We were in the market for a Horizon Blue Forester, which turned out to be either very popular or scarce in number. Johnson Subaru managed to track one down and obtain it through a trade with another dealership. Rebecca kept us in the loop every step of the way. We did not have to call to follow up, she called us every few days to let us know the progress.
We truly value good communication skills and one may think that it isn't important but to us it is a trait that we greatly admire. We found Rebecca to be a wonderful communicator and we would definitely recommend her and Johnson Subaru to any of our family or friends when they are in the market for a new car.

While the salesmen and women are very nice and not pushy, the cars are not so. The car they sold me is a dud and within months of sale the check engine light came on, the battery died repeatedly and I needed to replace the key fob. We always had a positive opinion of Subarus up until now but this crosstrek is makes me miss my Mazda even more.

Check out the pic attached, an email from their service manager with their response to damages they caused to my car. This based on review completed by another Subaru dealership where I live in New Hampshire. I’ve offered to have my car brought to a different Subaru dealership for assessment and they won’t accept and because I live 700+ miles away I obviously can’t get my car to their dealership. They also tried to lie to me about the video they received from the dealership who has the car now.
These people have no integrity and little decency. After my first review I got a call from Ed trying to manipulate my feelings on the situation, most likely to get me to change or take down my review. He felt my feelings weren’t “valid.”
Demand better service folks, or skip them.
Jeremy, I was working with you and your team has shoved me aside as you can see by the email attached. So I feel your review to my post is just so you look better to those reading my review.
You all can see my final email to them as well. They won’t help me. Seriously, don’t do business with these people.

This service team and management doesn’t want to help you. A little over a year ago they did a major replacement on my transmission during a road trip I was on. At the time they failed to go through my warranty as I asked. After much work on my end they made good on things by correcting the issue.
Now, a year later and the work they did was faulty leading to a leak, so I’ve been told by a regular dealership near my home. I need a new transmission and they refuse to help citing data they don’t want to specify that’s varied from what the dealership who has my car is saying. Avoid these folks.

Johnson Subaru of Cary is a joke of a dealership. We purchased our new Ascent in the fall of 2021 and we’ve had nothing but problems since. The paneling on the exterior of the car began to warp and melt in the sun soon after we purchased the vehicle. When we first brought up the issue to the service department, we were told they had never seen this issue before. After it was “fixed,” the same thing continued to happen. We’ve been told by different employees that they’ve either never seen this, this happened to a lot of vehicles that were sitting on their lot before they were sold, and my favorite, that it was our fault for driving outside!
We ended up doing a claim with corporate and were able to get all parts replaced even though we were told this will just continue to happen and it will no longer be covered because it’s “environmental” and not their problem. This took 6 months and dozens of phone calls.
When we received our vehicle back there were oil and grease stains all over the upholstery and on our outside mirrors. We let them know and they detailed our car, only to rip the upholstery in the process. There is also still grease stains on our mirror. When they returned our car they pointed it out and said they would send someone right away. On the day they were supposed to come, they never showed up. We had to reach back out to them and let them know no one came. We heard the same story that someone would be out ASAP to fix it and here we are months later and no one came. They also don’t like to answer your calls and I had someone go as far to ask me not to fill out the survey because it would reflect badly on the service department manager and “he’s a good guy.”
Johnson Subaru of Cary is the worst dealership I’ve ever worked with. We won’t purchase another Subaru and you shouldn’t either.
