Edit: Updated review to reflect how poorly staffed this store is. It was bad 7 years ago. Somehow it’s worse now. Pay your people equitably, Joann, so you can attract more employees.
This place is always understaffed. It's not unusual to wait 30 minutes just to have fabric cut. Checkout is typically slow as well. Typically a frustrating visit when we come here.

Very polite and helpful staff. Good variety and loads of inventory.

I love Joann's but this location specifically is God awful! The isles are literally in walkable let alone getting a cart through them. It looks like a bomb went off in there and nothing is organized for on the shelves. I have been to many Joann's in various states and I have NEVER seen a store this chaotic it's impossible to find anything.

I have been making my own clothes for years now and JoAnn fabrics is my go-to for material and supplies. The workers are always super friendly however the issue I see being mentioned in a lot of the negative reviews seems to be the result of the fact that they only pay $9.35/hr or so. No wonder they can't find enough employees to keep the stores in order . Bums me out however between entitled customers and corporate greed it makes for quite the predicament.

Had a great experience today! But Robert made our visit extraordinary! His cashier number is 868508. He was extremely kind and helped us figure out how to use our app!! He has amazing customer service skills and made us feel so taken care of!

Good selection of fabrics and usually good sales going on! The lady at the fabric cutting counter is very friendly as well as the young man at the checkout!

Angela is so sweet and helpful! We don’t know much about fabric/sewing and she explained everything very well. You can tell she loves her job!

The store was closed even though online hours AND a phone call to the store said they closed in three hours. Absolutely ridiculous

Closes at 6pm but didn’t bother to tell the internet that. What a waste of a trip. Do better.

Went at 7:50 pm they don't close until 9pm and store was closed. Saw another review apparently they were closed by 7pm. That's crazy, I could see maybe closing 30 mins early but 2 hours?

I'm not sure why they are always closed when they are supposed to be open until 9pm. Disappointing for people who work and don't get off until the evening.

I made a purchase of (big, thick) yarn. Checked a couple of stores, but yarn was all over the store (messy) and tossed loosely in a bin. I spent a lot of time untangling yarn to get what i did. I needed more than they had, so I decided to return what I bought, but the manager refused to take it back because it was "damaged". I bought it that way, but she said that it wasn't rung up as "damaged" Again, not my problem, they should have kept all of the yarn in the individual clear plastic bags. I have a choice of places to spend my $$ but it will NEVER be at 2420 Walnut.

This store is super understaffed but the current employees are amazing. They are working so hard to try to clean up the store and get everybody through the checkout line as quickly as possible. The corporate office cut way back on everyone’s hours so please be kind to them - they are absolutely doing their best. The store manager, Dolores, is so incredibly sweet and patient. I shop there weekly and everyone at the cutting counter and checkout are the friendliest folks. Yes, the fabric is generally in a bit of disarray and there are huge boxes of fabric in the aisles, but they’re doing their best to get everything cleaned up and put away. There are so many rude and nasty reviews from people who don’t understand the situation. A little bit of googling goes a long way. Just saying.

Ok craft store. Most areas seem to be in various states of disarray however with some being borderline rummage sale. Boxes in aisles, product not even taken out of manufacturer shipping boxes, kind of ridiculous really.
Joann is also on the bandwagon of charging insane prices for product only to slap a '40% off' sign on the selection to bring it down to a still high but more reasonable price.
Can you find some deals here? Sure. Just be ready to spend a bit of time picking through things, and dont get lost in the maze.

Staff is so helpful and friendly! The cashier helped make sure we got all the coupons that worked with our purchase!
