After years of putting up with waiting and waiting to be seen I have finally had enough. My last visit I waited for over an hour to be seen and finally left. I understand that emergencies arise etc. but this has been going on for years. I respect peoples time contracts and expect them to respect mine. Final kicker, I had to call repeatedly to have my files sent to my new primary care physician.

I went to Dr. Adams for about 10 years but recently moved to a new primary care doctor. I had two routine annual checkups scheduled way in advance in recent years, but the front desk canceled each without any warning until I showed up on the days of these appointments. Yet a couple of days ahead of each appointment, the office sent one of those stern recordings to my phone saying I had an appointment and I'd be billed if I miss it. On the first canceled visit in mid-2019, I was told he was out-of-town at a medical conference and they thought someone was going to call me that morning to let me know about it (no one had called). Most people traveling out-of-town for a conference have the common sense and courtesy to check their calendar for conflicts and make adjustments accordingly, well ahead of time. That appointment was rescheduled for early 2020. On the second, I called in January 2022 (after covid precautions eased) to make a routine checkup appointment and was told the soonest opening would be in September. I made that appointment, waited the nine months, got the stern recording saying I had better show up or else, yet when I arrived was told he had called in sick that day. The front desk blamed somebody in the back for not giving me a call that morning. I was assured they would be in touch to reschedule. Nevertheless, I called the office several times over the next month and was told each time they were still reworking his missed appointments, and promised I'd be called just as soon as things got sorted. That was six months ago, and I've never heard back about rescheduling. The most charitable description here is that scheduling at the front desk is exceptionally muddled and unreliable. So how can I trust any better level of service back in the examining room? This is a practice that shows little empathy for me personally, and seems uninterested in meeting my basic health care needs.

I have been going to this practice for over 15 years. I have NEVER liked Dr. Adams - he has no bedside manner and personally gives me the creeps. I have, however, liked several of their PAs in the past...but in the last few years it has been a revolving door. All the good ones are gone. Every time I made an appointment, my preferred practitioner was no longer there. That should tell you something. In the most recent case, I moved to Wilmington and tried for 2 weeks to contact them to get them to extend an important RX. I never received a call back. I finally got a hold of someone and they denied it! Now, I have to wait 2 months to get into a new PCP before I can get this important script. They have NO people skills. DO NOT GO HERE!

Staff is horrible. Save your time, money, and sanity. STAY AWAY. Wish I could give zero stars. (Check the yelp reviews, they accurately depict how terrible this practice truly is.)

I’ll start by saying Dr Adams is an extremely kind and knowledgeable Dr. The good news is he will spend as much time with you as you want. The bad news is your wait time is very long.Last December I walked out after waiting 1 hr 30 min. I ran into the Nurse Assistant when I walked out, who said something along the lines of “I don’t know where he is, I haven’t seen him come back from lunch.”I made sure I wouldn’t get charged, and was assured I wouldn’t. As expected I did, but they were very good in removing the charge (billing lady is extremely nice). My most recent appointment was a few months ago. Since I didn’t meet last December it was a year since I met with dr. Instead of annual physical, got charged for the 6 month checkup. Even though I didn’t meet 6 months ago. Finally, the nurse assistant is just not friendly at all. Always seems to be short or in a bad mood. Was not pleasant.Long story short, went to a new Dr and waited no more than 5 min and had a great experience.I wish the best to Dr Adams and his practice.

I will start this off with the fact I have only been to this office twice. The staff is very friendly. However, both times I had to wait for over an hour to see the doctor. I was given no notice they were running behind and it is very frustrating sitting in an office waiting to be seen with no indication of how far behind they may be that day. My time is just as valuable as the next person and it does not seem they do much to accommodate patients when they are running behind. That is my experience.

What is the point of having a doctor if you can't see them when you're sick. They won't let you come in unless you go to an urgent care or buy a covid test first. It's not worth saving $15 when you have to buy a test or go to an urgent care. They just made themselves obsolete

I've been a patient of this practice since 2011. Things have historically been stable. In the last year we have been assigned 3 different PAs, being informed that our previous provider had left. The practice is proactive in managing my medications and schedules multiple check in yearly. My nine year son wants to marry the "Australian girl" (who I am 99.97% sure is British). She's always been kind and patient with us. When we call for a sick visit we are scheduled same or next day. I don't mind wait time in the waiting room since the quality of the provider visit is excellent. If I had to complain about something... the phlebotomist rarely gets my stick on the first try. But that's probably me, not her. :)

My fiancee was struggling with severe neck pain. The nursing staff was able to squeeze her in very quickly and was very accommodating. Very thankful they were able to see her so quickly

I have been going to this office for 15 years now. The level of service has always been impeccable. Recently needed some immediate assistance and spoke with Malachi who was able to assist me with ease. His mannerisms were very professional and concise. I so appreciate the service I have received over the last 15 years.

EDIT: (I absolutely was a patient at this practice & was seen my Dr. Adams himself. The gaslighting is disgusting.) If I could give zero stars I would. Dr. Adams and the majority of his staff are careless, incompetent, and should be avoided if at all possible. He will prescribe medications haphazardly and just hope for the best, should you have an adverse effect to said medications that HE prescribed, he will say he does not want to treat you anymore, so that he’s not responsible for you. DO NOT GO HERE.

I have been with this practice for years, but have been very disappointed in my recent experiences. Calls are never returned. When an assistant does answer calls, it's with added smarmy remarks. Once after waiting several days for scan results, I called and was told I was impatient. The physician's assistant prescribes way too much medication, which seems to be the only solution for everything. Wait time to be seen is ridiculous. Turnover of staff is high. The list goes on. Gave this place far too many chances to right their wrongs. Currently seeking new primary.
