I recently inherited two Brothers sewing machines, but I don't sew. Ruth Williams put me at ease. We set up a time for me to come in and she showed me how to operate the first one. Everyone was so friendly and supportive. I highly recommend them!

I brought my serger here to be repaired. They were very informative about what the issue was and what my different options were. I will definitely be coming back!

A Great place to take your sewing machine for service. Had Ruth review the machine and got it back into working order. She had suggestions to prevent the problem in the future.

Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Ruth Williams spent time assisting me with my old machine and possible solutions for repair even though it wasn't purchased from them. She was also was very helpful looking at options for an upgrade. I would highly recommend Ruth and Sewing in Carolina.

I had a serger that was not working right and I found capital sewing & quilt online. I have had a number of very bad experiences getting my machines fixed and they had good reviews. My mom took it in for me since I’m about an hour and a half away and the lady there I believe her name was Jennifer said she had magic hands and she would take a look at it before she serviced it. And she managed to fixed it! She also gave me some advice for a better serger to upgrade to. They didn’t charge me a dime for her quick fix and they were super knowledgeable. I will be getting my future machines repaired here (besides my Bernina). Truly an excellent experience even from just being on speaker phone. It’s hard to find places that aren’t just trying to make a quick buck off of you and they certainly aren’t and I really appreciate that. This is how you get repeat customers and customers for life!

The ladies working the front are definitely very pleasant to talk to. I brought my machine in for repair and service the technician did fix my machine, however he is extremely arrogant and argumentative when I came back with my machine having a new issue; he truly was disrespectful. I will NOT take my machine back here for further servicing unless there is a different technician or he has training on customer relations they are not the only company in the area.

Great place, super nice staff. I've upgraded my long arm machine and also bought a juki straight stitch machine from them (truly a work horse!) I've also taught a few long arm classes there...

I can’t say enough great things about this store. I bought my first embroidery machine several years ago and was recently in the market for a 6 needle. I did a lot of research and reached out to this store along with several others in the local area. The staff is phenomenal and honestly the reason I purchased my new machine in Cary. I traveled a distance because the team is knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming! They are so helpful over the phone and in person. They answered my many questions, never rushed me, and explained things so well. I absolutely love my new machine! If you are in the market for a new machine you can call and visit the store. The team will show you the machines, give you options, show you how they work, talk about the maintenance and upkeep. While doing all of this, they never pushed me to make my purchase. Just excellent customer service!! Thank you so much for all your help.

I can’t thank the lovely people here enough! Ruth was a fantastic help, she looked at my machine right away and let me know she’d try to get it fixed that day if it didn’t need parts. It was a simple fix so I got my machine that afternoon. They took the time to get it right! Excellent customer service and reasonable part prices! I’ll drive the 1.5 hours to them again for service!

My machine's tension was acting up. Nothing I did resolved the issue. I looked online, at my machines manual (which is terrible) on the manufacturers website, adjusted the tension and re-threaded the machine and bobbin many times. Finally threw in the towel on looked for a repair shop. I came across Capital Sew & Quilt and so glad I did. Jennifer at CSQ looked it over, stitched a few things and changed out the metal bobbin for a plastic one. Voile' fixed. Not only was I using the incorrect class bobbin (manual didn't state which one to use) I was using a metal one. She said the metal ones can weigh down the bobbin resulting in the bobbin thread pulling. Needless to say I am quite please and Jennifer was a pleasure.

Entered store frustrated from trying to make my little portable sewing machine stitch; couldn’t even make the threader work. Ruth sat right down and plugged in my machine and got it working properly in a few minutes. She showed me what I needed to do to keep it working and made some suggestions about needle size.Such a relief !! I appreciate her knowledge and kind help and will keep her in mind for further sewing concerns .

My husband and I stopped by this evening looking for a needle and thread to sew a loosened button. We walked into the shop and Jen and all the ladies were so kind and helpful! Jen offered a needle and thread to sew the button in the store! So grateful for your help and kindness!
