So far, so good. My car is in the shop for Front axles. The technician provided a video of his evaluation and recommendation along with estimate. I currently have a loaner. Thankful for this! Also, when researching, I looked at CarFax.com for reviews. This was a major factor in my decision to take my car to Capital in Cary though I live near Wake Forest.

I've been coming to this service location for years since I got my 2011 Mazda (and now own a 2022), and I've always been treated fairly and with kindness. They've even gone out of their way for me a couple of times when I was in a tough spot. The service has always been great in my experience too!

Absolutely pathetic dealership experience. We had an appointment to test drive the CX 90 plug-in hybrid. Two times in a row, we reached the dealer after a decent drive only to be told that they do not have the plug-in hybrid for a test drive. Each time different excuses. Appointments have no meaning and they will make you wait for a long time to see someone. The worst part is that the sales people do not know how to talk to customers. When I question them why they called me in and told me that they had a car to try their response was I did not ask you to come in somebody else did. This was the same argument a couple of people made. If an employee at a dealership is making a promise, the dealership has to be accountable for it. You can't just go saying - I did not ask you to come in. There is absolutely no way that anybody would want to deal with people like the ones that I met at the dealership. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I feel for Mazda; they make decent cars, but have some of the worst dealership experience in the industry.

I have a 2007 Mazda CX9 and was told that this dealer no longer services Mazda's that are over 10 years old. They evidently do not have the appropriate tools for this car. Keep this in mind if you are thinking about buying a Mazda!! They are not supporting their own brand!!! It was super disappointing as we have had three Mazdas in our family and was getting ready to purchase another.

I got my lease here last week and my salesperson Taylor was WONDERFUL! Don't get me wrong, I was excited to get my new car but I was even happier to give such a wonderful person a sale, she really went above and beyond for me. Thanks again!

These guys are what give Car Dealers, especially used car dealers, a BAD NAME.They listed a price on Autotrader for a vehicle of interest. Went by to take a look, and found out there were non-customer requested "add-ons" that were non-negotiable. Ah.. seems like they should have been added to the listed price if they weren't negotiable ..... same old bait & switch tactics. AVOID them.

*Go to Mazda at Sports Durst in Durham instead* This review is only for the service department. I called them to set up an appointment to get an issue with my car diagnosed. The lady that answers the phone in this department needs an education on customer service. At one point during the conversation she said that I'll need to "drop the vehicle off and leave it with us". So I asked her to clarify how long it will take for them to look at it. She answered my question by repeating "you need to drop the vehicle off and leave it with us" in a slower tone. I understand the English language - that is not what I asked to be clarified. She had a very entitled tone to her voice that made it seem like she couldn't care less about whether you were a customer or not. On top of all of this she said that it would cost $150 for a diagnostic check and that cost would NOT go towards the cost to fix the problem. So I called Mazda at Sport Durst (in Durham) instead. They had FAR better customer service and said that the cost to diagnose WOULD go towards the cost of fixing the problem. So I would recommend everyone use them over the Cary location - even if it is a farther drive.

Octavius is the man!! He deserves recognition from his team/management for amazing customer service by going above and beyond. Great guy who really cares and it shows. Capital Mazda should hold onto him before another dealership swoops him up.

We bought our second Mazda from Capital Mazda of Cary in January, 2021. Our sales consultant, Damien Griffiths, was a pleasure to work with and we were pleased with the CX-5 we selected. Everything was fine until we met with the F&I man. We were presented with the 10-year extended warranty, which we accepted at the time but later canceled. Mr. F&I verbally quoted the increase in monthly payment that would result. I requested the total cost, which again he quoted verbally and my understanding was $2500.00. We never saw the amount in writing and instead of signing on paper, we signed on an electronic pad. Also I didn't remember signing the service agreement which provides oil changes and tow-in coverage for an outrageous sum of money. Weeks later, the printed contract was mailed to us and I finally saw what we supposedly agreed to. The extended warranty was $4500.00 and the service agreement at (I think) around $700.00. It seems to me that it would be unethical to have a customer sign a contract on an electronic pad. Next time I will only sign on paper.

My husband, and I, went here on a Wednesday and Waleed was our salesman. We were looking to trade in our vehicle to buy a new Mazda, and our budget was set. After taking a couple test drives, going home to mull it over, we settled on a CX-9, and came back on Friday evening. Since it was a little late, and we were set on our budget, negotiations took a little while, but they came back with what we wanted to pay. They let us take the Mazda home for the night, and go back on Saturday to finish the paperwork. On Saturday, they called us to let us know that they found another $750 incentive which lowered the price more. What dealership does that??? We were flabbergasted! We will be bringing our active duty son there this week to purchase another vehicle as he's being stationed stateside for 4 years and needs a reliable car- and we're going to Waleed again. We're very pleased with the purchasing process and highly recommend them!

First time buying a car from a dealership, and I can be somewhat stubborn with what I think a car is worth. Worked with Rob Forsyth and he was wonderful. Didn't try to change my mind on what I wanted, was super knowledgeable on their vehicles and helped me work through some of the options as far as my wish list for the new car. Never pressured me and was really patient with me as a fist time new car buyer. Got to walk with the model I wanted, newer year, and the monthly payment I wanted. Rob was fantastic and overall made the experience a pleasure. My wife, who has bought her past few cars from a dealership, even commented on the fact she has never received such great service. They won a long term customer today, probably two, and I can't recommend enough!

While my Mazda 6 Grand Touring sedan SKYACTIV ® TECHNOLOGY was in for an oil change at approximately 50,000 miles on the odometer (about 4 years after it was purchased new from Capital Mazda of Cary NC), my service representative, Jeff Douglas, informed me that the radiator coolant needed to be changed. He also informed me that the transmission fluid needed to be changed. I agreed to having the latter service performed. Through subsequent research I learned that the coolant installed in this car at the factory is extended life FL-22, which Mazda recommends changing only after 125,000 miles or 10 years. I also learned that Mazdas with SKYACTIV ® TECHNOLOGY have lifetime transmission fluid; it should be changed only when a major transmission component or the entire transmission needs replacing. I met with the service manager, Matt Harris, and asked why I had been told I needed two maintenance services to a car that was showing no symptoms of radiator or transmission problems. He told me that they disregarded Mazda factory recommendations and determined the need for change by visual inspection of the fluids. He stated that if they saw particles in the fluid it needed to be replaced. The service department's position on these two maintenance procedures is contrary to that of Mazda and every expert that I was able to find in online articles and forums. I can only conclude that the service department is either incompetent or misleads its customers in order to profit from unnecessary maintenance work.
