Terrible Terrible TERRIBLE. I agree with the other bad reviews to this place. I had a really bad experience getting glasses here. Had to come back 3 times and I am still not happy with the glasses they sold me. The glasses you pick off of the display is not the glasses you will recieve when ordered. Buyer beware! I received a completely different pair of glasses than what I picked out. The african american woman that works there is completely bipolar with horrible customer service skills. She needs to be trained properly on how to talk to people and treat customers. She acts as if she is being bothered and not as a customer. I witness her treat one customer one way and another customer in a completely different attitude. She seems to have some bias in her attitude with how she treats people. I will never get glasses from this location again. I feel completely taken after spending $180. However, the one positive is the folks in the back who does the exams are fine.

I had a very unpleasant experience at America’s best. Despite having an appointment, I was kept waiting for 90 minutes with no clear communication or apologies from the staff. When I inquired about the delay, the response I received was incredibly rude and unhelpful, indicating that they could not provide any information on the wait time and that they do not have any staff to support. This lack of basic customer service and respect is unacceptable, especially in a professional setting. Eventually, I had to leave without getting my eyes checked, wasting my time and effort. Based on this experience, I am deeply disappointed and will not be returning to America’s Best ever. I advise potential customers to consider other options where their time and business might be valued.

I do not recommend.My two times coming in were uncomfortable for a number of reasons.The determining factor is simply the customer service.There were two nice staff members I interacted with but overall the doctor made me uncomfortable as well as one of the store associates who asked me if my hair was real. The doctor puts his fingers in your eye to put the contacts in and to take them out. He didn’t wash his hands well either.Additionally, he isn’t open to feedback, questions, or suggestions about your eyes or the prescription he thinks you should have.I came in with a contact prescription that worked, but I felt like I needed something a bit stronger. He instead gave me a weaker prescription than what l originally came in with.I came back the next day (today) for a refund because they charged me when the exam should have been free (no big deal ) and to tell the doctor how uncomfortable this new prescription was.He instead changed the type of lens I have in one eye but kept the script the same. It’s now the end of the day, and I can tell it is still wrong.I need my old prescription, or something stronger. I can tell he will not be receptive to being wrong, so I won’t be going back to this location to fix my vision.

I had an exam to get new glasses/lenses the second I walked in until I left was nothing but a good time! The staff is AMAZING I’ve been coming here since this location opened. Chris and Mrs.Sharon made my experience wonderful. Chris really went out the way to help me find lenses that i previously had and also helped me pick new ones with the help of Mrs.sharon. Such a friendly staff abd environment to be around. Thank you guys soo much for always having positive attitudes and just making each person come through that door feel like they are apart of you guys.

These wonderful people saved me from a contact emergency today! With an event days away and hubble contacts absolutely sabotaging my on time contacts delivery, I could not be more grateful for Dr Yarborough and his team. I was able to get a same day appt, was in and out and they took my Ambetter insurance (which is always surprising). They even gave me a monthly pair as to accommodate for my immediate need. Jaleya and Joslyn are your girls, very kind and helpful. I will 100% be back.

Waited almost two months for my first pair of contacts to come in. I’m about 45 minutes away so when I arrived there was no doctor in the store so I couldn’t receive them since I’m new to contacts. Was told to come back next weekend on Saturday morning. I arrived and no doctor again. This place is a joke. No communication at all. Waste my time and fuel. I just asked for a refund of services I’ll go somewhere else. I don’t have time for games.

Schedule appointment for 9/16/23 for a 12:50pm appointment an arrived at 1230 to check in an during check in there was never any communication in regards to the wait time. About 1:05pm I was taken into room 1 for the tech to take photos of my eyes then she directed me back to the waiting room and said I would be called shortly for the exam. About 10 mins after she went to lunch. Which is perfectly fine but is concerning the other tech sat in exam room 2 for about 25 minutes and did not perform any other exams while the other tech was gone to lunch. Once tech 1 returned from lunch tech 2 decided to take lunch immediately upon her return. As a reminder I arrived at 12:30pm and now I begin to question the process so at 2:30pm I ask the front staff how much longer before I will be seen an they did not have a definitive answer an began to make excuses but at that point I began to point out holes in the excuses she was trying to give. During that time I explained to them I am a store manager and understand how delays can occur but it is their responsibility to communicate these issues to the guest. But shortly into that conversation I could see this was not registering so I decided to excuse myself and called another facility/company an made appointment. If staffing is a concern with process my suggestion would be not to schedule appointments during certain times to ensure your guest can be taken care of in a timely manner which in turn will secure your patient’s for the future.Also on a side note witness a gentleman who was helping a middle eastern gentleman with frame adjustments being rude to the customer and talking down to him. The tone in your employees voice was uncalled for an he wasn’t listening to the customers concerns. Believe coaching and Bias training needs to be a huge focus. Hope this review serves as a great training note for your company/staff.

Do NOT go here to order contact lenses unless you want to wait over 1 month with terrible communication from staff. Ordered contacts beginning of July and staff said it would deliver in 5-7 days. Found out they put in the wrong address so the contacts would be delivered to the store. Still no update on delivery status 2 weeks later. Store reordered contacts after there was no delivery and 2 weeks later there was STILL NO CONTACTS. For a third time, store reordered contacts and said 5-7 business days they will be here… here I am writing this review because it has passed 5-7 days and they are still not delivered! All they do is keep giving my partner trial daily contacts to hold him over. Very frustrating and they are not accommodating. At this point we should just get a refund and go somewhere else. This is by far the worst service I have ever experienced. Would rate 0 stars if I could.

If you go out for exam, make sure you clear your whole day out. My appointment ended up taking four hours then by the time you purchase your glasses, it took me a total of five hours. But make sure you read the receipt carefully she told me I had a year warranty on my glasses and lenses. When I purchased them now I have a problem with my lenses peeling and they’re telling me I did not buy the standard protection plan. Only have the glasses for nine months. Be careful with these guys.

Visited for the first time today for an eye exam. Dr Yarborough the ophthalmologist is awesome. I’ve had contacts for over 20 years and he’s probably one of the best I’ve ever seen. Knowledgeable, quick, funny and kind. Wasn’t a huge fan of the women’s glasses selections but the staff was friendly and efficient. Will visit again.

I've read a lot of negative reviews about the Cary location and America's Best in general so I felt that I needed to post my experience. First it was very easy to make an appointment, and all forms were available to complete online. I got a same day appointment! When I got there everyone was so nice and explained that I would be seen by an Optomitrist virtually. Telehealth is the future so I want surprised. What I was surprised about was the level of expertise everyone displayed! From the testing to the physician it was amazing. The tech Christine taking the tests was thorough and explained every step.The Optomitrist took her time and actually listened. I finally felt like I was being heard. I completely recommend this location for all your needs!!! Thank You Dr. Stinson and all the staff at Cary for everything!

July 12, 2023 I came in for an eye exam, I was told my copay was $10 but at the end I ended up paying $50 for the exam. Chris said that there was an issue with the prescription, it was written incorrectly and he needed to reach back out to the Dr. I waited an additional 30minutes just to find out that the Dr had left for the day but he told me that he would follow up with me the next day. 2 days go by and no update. I call and a lady answers the phone and the language barrier is too much so I disconnect. I call back 7/24 and get Chris he says he is sending a message to the Dr and it should be taken care of my 1pm. He calls at 1pm and says that it will be updated by end of the day. I call back at the 6ish the machine says they are closed. I call Tuesday at 3 and get the same message. I call Wednesday at 11a and still getting the message they are closed. All I want is my $50 back at this point. I have no prescription, no contacts, no trials, and headache!!!!

The doctor kept trying to convince me that what he prescribed to me can make my vision crystal clear. The contacts were both extremely uncomfortable (wore contacts for 6 years and they were always fine) and I was seeing blurry. The Doctor, James Yarborough, was extremely irritable and continued to pressure me to get them. We finally after a lengthy confrontation got him to write what we thought was the old prescription.Had to go back the next day. Doctor was even more rude especially to my mom who can't understand English too well and was confrontational with us in the lobby! Infront of everyone there!Even after all this, he still gave us wrong prescription. Absolutely terrible service and the doctor is not tolerant with patience asking questions or actually helping them one bit!

Entire staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Jaleya was so helpful when it came to choosing the right lens accommodations for me and gave clear descriptions of products and services. Eye examiner Jim allowed me to walk out with a new pair of eyes in ultra confidence. Very pleased with my visit!
