This shop does too much up-selling for unnecessary maintenance. I had a battery replaced at a cost of $200. Then they told me I needed terminal cleaning for $35. The terminals were just checked and were in very good condition. Trust is gone. Won't return.

Just left this location very discombobulated. Please read the other reviews before bringing your car here. They quoted me $14 to replace the brake light bulb then it magically went up to $60+ !! They're not even trying to hide the fact that they're ripping you off. This is my first and last time coming to this location. Very shady and untrustworthy.

DO NOT HAVE YOUR CAR TOWED HERE!!! ZERO STARS!!! I had my car towed here when my car started stuttering on the highway and the check engine light came on. Eddie C said I needed 4 ignition coils and spark plugs. They charged me $184.99 per ignition coil for a total of $739.96... My total that day for everything, was $1,238.63 Eddie said I also needed over $3,000 in work on my car. I had the coils and spark plugs replaced then took it to my regular mechanic and they looked it over and said only 2 of the things Eddie and Gavin R. the technician said I needed were needed or due. The power steering belt was not fraying, the fluid looked good. The axle was fine, as were the struts and shocks and the transmission service had recently been done (Eddie was really pushing for me to do that along with the ignition coil and spark plugs, since those are good to do at the same time). And my mechanic said they would have charged $192 for ALL 4 ignition coils... and like I said, I paid $739.96 here. I feel sick. This is a place that gives car mechanics a bad name.

Went in for a simple state inspection, came back failed because my rear view mirror tint was broken, yet you can see out just fine. Never been failed for this before for years on end. They were just trying to rip me off selling me expensive parts for my old car. Took my car to another place a day later and it passed inspection.Never going back. Probably the biggest waste of my time this year.

Ok, so anyone who knows me knows I am not a car/tech guy. I don't even change my own oil. Anything more than changing my tires or windshield wipers, I leave to those more knowledgeable. Or at least I used to...So: My driver's side power window stops working on my Honda Accord. I call AAA to get a quote. Without even thinking about it (like they do this 3X a week), he says " $390+ for the window motor/regulator assembly and $150 for labor." Says I, "That's a lot of money. Goodbye."I go home and look up an instructional video because no way I'm paying $600 to fix my window. Video seemed pretty straightforward. So I bought the part (cost about 70 bucks) and did it myself. It took about an hour because I kept referring to the video because, as I mentioned: not a car guy. Worked like a charm. No special tools required. Just a couple of screwdrivers, a socket wrench, some gorilla glue, and a little patience. I thought I would feel a sense of accomplishment and relief. And I did. For a moment. But it was almost entirely overwhelmed with rage. Serious question to anyone still reading this screed: How is it legal for AAA overcharge like that??? Every single price I found for the required part cost between $42-$80. Every. Single. One. Nothing over a hundred. This was a power window regulator with motor 2007 Honda accord. Not for 2 of them. Not the glass. Just the motor/regulator assembly. Go ahead and Google it! Find me one that costs more than a $100. I'll wait.I'm not a math guy either but that's a markup of like 400%!! Not a 50% or 100% markup-- over 400%!!!And $150 for labor??? My untrained and unqualified self did it in just under an hour with the help of a poorly filmed YouTube video and some light swearing. A trained mechanic could probably have done it in 20 minutes including a smoke break.Moral of the story: AAA has no issues gouging their customers at a level so cartoonishly grotesque that it would be funny if it weren't so morally reprehensible. I never leave reviews. I opened this account to write this one. This is not a one-off. They told my girlfriend about a year ago that she was in serious danger and needed to replace her catalytic converter to the tune of over a thousand dollars. She got a second opinion, and that guy was honest enough to tell her all she needed was a $20 bottle of catalytic converter cleaner. She did so, the check engine light went off, and the car runs fine. That was 6 months ago. AAA is the absolute worst. Their mechanics are without conscience or compunction and will smile at you as they lie to your face. You are better off with almost any of their competitors than going with AAA.You are better off trying to fix it yourself than trusting AAA's mechanics. You are better off just selling your car and taking on new car payments than giving your money to AAA.You are better off taking the bus than dealing with AAA. Walking through the rain with all your worldly possessions hanging from a bindle off your shoulder is better than walking into a AAA.

Eddie Coto, Facility Manager at the Walnut Street location, is absolutely incredible. My father received assistance from him a couple months ago, and my mother called in yesterday and spoke with him at length - both receiving excellent customer support. And yesterday and today I was taken very good care of from the man himself.Eddie is thoroughly comprehensive, understanding and patient, empathetic and respectful of his customers' needs. He takes his time to help above and beyond. He is personable and kind. He is a delight to work with and I wish I had an Eddie in every other transaction-based interaction.Thank you very much, Eddie!

They fit me in without an appointment for an oil change on my 2007 Lexus IS350. They inspected my car from head to to. Sent me a detailed report of any issues that I may need to address. They weren't pushy about getting the work done and very courteous about helping fix my bumper from a little mishap I had. I would highly recommend AAA Cary location. I will use them in the future as well.

I was told I needed a new transmission. Of course the cost of everything is astronomical. It took time to get the money to pay for a used transmission. When I was able to get the money, I went to the store directly and was told I had to make a partial payment of services due to the total amount of the services to be rendered. No problem, the partial payment was made on a Friday, 8/11/23. No one called by Wednesday (8/16/23) to give an update, so I decided to call them for an update. I was told they were trying to contact me but I never received a call or voicemail from them. They told me they were sent the wrong transmission and they would have to contact their dealer to get the correct one. I waited to call until Friday (8/18/23) for a status. I was told they had the new transmission and the car would be worked on by Monday (8/21/23) and hopefully completed by Tuesday/Wednesday (8/22 - 8/23). No problem. I waited until the following week to contact them on Tuesday (8/22/23). Someone from the car care center states the mechanic that's supposed to work on my car isn't there today and wasn't there Saturday nor Monday to begin working on my car. And that my car wouldn't be available until the end of the week. The lack of communication and the setting of expectations fails at this location. In my opinion, my vehicle isn't a priority to be completed in a timely manner due to the time it took for me to get the money for repairs. I've been burned by a lot of car repair shops and I pray I'm not getting burned here. I have a scheduled windshield repair from a company that messed up my windshield and now I must reschedule that appointment. It's taking two weeks to complete a repair order I was told would take two/three days.

Told my car there for a simple diagnostic. They told me I needed spark plugs they told me I need rear brakes. They switched the spark plugs around and the car ran worse. The next day my car overheated there was a hose that happened disconnected. Come to find out they did not put my radiator cap on properly. They did not admit that they disconnected the holes and did not reconnected. It's a good thing I had sent enough to take the radiator cap off and screw it on properly. My car ran hot and I stopped in front of a fire station the fireman fixed the holes. I would not recommend going to this place they are overpriced they are not honest and they almost destroyed my engine.

I had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation, and it took 1 hour and 45 minute, which is especially long considering i wasn't just a walk-in. When i asked for a time update after 1hr, i could see them click the car keys to see which car in the parking lot was mine -- they hadn't even started. Unprofessional. I know places can be short-staffed or busy, but it was just 4pm on a monday. I assumed by having an appointment they would be more efficient than this. I'm disappointed. Don't waste your time here.

Made a 7:30am appointment to get a simple oil change and it took them an hour and a half to get it done even though i was the only one there. They told me it would take "an hour at the most". I didnt get my keys till 8:59. Also spent a good chunk of time trying to upsell me different packages, and after all that insisted on quoting me for new brakes in spite of me telling them I will take care of it elsewhere. If you just want good quick service, go elsewhere.

Ripping people off. Avoid this business.A widowed grandmother’s car wouldn’t start. As a long-time AAA member, she called AAA for assistance. They talked her into hundreds of dollars of unnecessary work and still didn’t fix the actual electrical problem. How can they stay in business, literally preying on little old ladies?Stay away from this place.

Man I wish I read the reviews first. I had it with another place I brought my cars so I was hunting for a new place. This is near my house and had appointments and I got a coupon in the mail for 59.99 synthetic oil change. So I gave it a shot. My appt was at 1030 and I left it there and went home. I mean I dont expect it to be exactly at 1030 but I got a text about my "inspection" before I heard from anyone at 2PM. 3 1/2 hours after appt they finally get to it. Typical stuff like dirty brake fluid(just had my brakes done 2 weeks ago) and dirty air filter. I declined and said just oil change and tires please. When I went to pick up car they had charged me full price 69.99 instead of the listed coupon price I gave them at drop off of 59.99. Im just too tired to fight with them so I paid it and walked out. I have 4 cars to get serviced on a relatively normal basis and I live less than a mile from them. They lost out on lots of business today just from me alone over 10 bucks and failure to even come close to doing my car at an appointment. Dont take appointments if you cant meet them. I have low expectations from car places and they managed to come in underneath it.

After We called Triple AAA and spoke to Cindy, they called us with a time the tow truck would be there and then the driver called to keep us up updated so we knew exactly when they were coming. We had groceries in the car and John with Triple AAA came to the rescue. John had the car towed and brought a van to take us with our groceries home. Then he repaired the car and it was ready by the next day.The service was excellent (way above normal) and after finding the problem the repairs were done quickly! Highly recommend Triple AAA Cary Town Center.Services: Auto engine diagnostic
