Dr. Anderson is very dismissive and condescending. I would not trust her with the care of any animal I care about. Btw if you want an estimate of oral extraction at this place it’s about 1400 to 2000 dollars. If your cat has less than 7 years old subtract 390 dollars from that. There, I saved you 62 dollars for the exam they require to give you a GENERIC estimate that they could have given you over the phone with knowing your cat’s age. Sadly this is not the only place with this racket, it’s common practice in the U.S. to squeeze pet parents at every turn. She also decided my cat needed his anal sac glad expressed even though he just had it burst and healed just two weeks ago with out asking me if I wanted to get it done and charged me 30 dollars for it.

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I am not one to write reviews but I think it is important for people to know as the treatment we went there for is very expensive. We brought our almost 16 year old cat here for the RADCAT treatment. We never once met the doctor and the paperwork says you will meet her and she is available for questions. That is not true. My poor girl peed herself on the way to the clinic. I was reassured that she would be cleaned and even offered to do it myself. When I called after her treatment I was told they wiped her down with baby wipes. Upon pickup she smelled so strongly of urine which broke my heart. Dr. Anderson continued to say it would not have been because they did not clean her adequately but because she is probably a scared cat and slept in her litter box. The techs not once said that when I called to check in on her and told me she was doing very well. Dr. Anderson is incredibly dismissive. Further upon pickup I received no instruction of what the precautions would be at home and was greeted by a receptionist that was very rude and talked about me in an unkind way to the tech while everyone could hear her in the waiting room. We looked into another clinic for precaution instructions since we got nothing from this clinic.
On the other hand, Seth one of the techs is incredibly kind and was the only good part of this experience for us. He would give awesome daily updates on our cat. However when he was not there the receptionist would not bother to get us in contact with the other techs and would just tell me there are no notes so she must be doing okay. For $2000 I am so disappointed with the care.
After finally picking her up I was overcharged by $1300 dollars. Charged a total of $3400 when the treatment was exactly $2100. The receptionist who did the charges did not care and said that it is not on her and my bank could figure it out. Overall terrible experience with really rude staff.
I would never recommend anyone go here. N.C. State also offers radiation treatment and I wish I looked into that option.

Dr. Crum was excellent and who I use to always see, but recently things have been quite different and my last visit with a different doctor they missed a very routine item on the physical exam sending me on a wild goose chase toward unnecessary scans and nearly surgery (the animal recovered on their own the next day without any surgery, after I was referred to an ER in Raleigh by the Animal Hospital). When I brought this to their attention, I was told that vets strive to do their best but are not perfect. Not the sentiment I really want from a provider. Of course nobody is perfect, but there are still standards below perfection that are not unreasonable to hold.

Unfortunately I have to say my experience here was not positive. One of my dogs has a condition that causes his nails to be brittle and crack easily. When I took him in, they couldn’t give me a diagnosis, so I had to take him to another vet, who did diagnose him and provide a treatment. Animal hospital also trimmed his fragile nails and I could hear him crying. That was very upsetting. More recently, I took my other dog in. He was 17 and I did have a positive interaction discussing the issues that had arisen due to age, and his quality of life. Soon after, I made the heartbreaking decision to let him go. It had only been a week since that visit when I took him in. The vet technician interrogated us about why we were letting him go. The last thing we wanted to do was justify our decision. I found it incredibly insensitive. When they took him back to sedate him, he came back in stumbling and obviously distressed. It was traumatic to see him in that condition and not at least being informed beforehand what sedation would do. It was just an awful experience and I will never take any of my pets there ever again. I wish I could counter with some positives, but my overall experience was largely negative.

Unprofessional and rude vet charging inflated prices. Dr. Anderson is incredibly condescending and rude to just about everybody, you can see that from other negative reviews (also notice how the positive reviews barely have any likes, but the negative have plenty). Her lack of communication with clients and her own staff is the biggest problem I faced here. If your pet requires a prescription go somewhere else for your pet’s health and your own sanity.Front desk staff will tell you that she checks voicemails responds to them at the end of every day… she does not. They will tell you she checks on Rx requests everyday… she does not. Front desk staff will tell you anything to get you off the phone. If Dr. Anderson doesn’t get back to you herself there is no recourse. In my experience she might get back to you in a timely manner, or she might ignore your messages and then blame you when the lack of communication becomes a problem. I left at least 6 voicemails that went unanswered until over a week later when I received a patronizing email claiming I was at fault for my cat not having her Rx.I dismissed other unprofessional behavior by Dr. Anderson in the past as just some social awkwardness. Earlier this year she told me a different pet had terminal cancer by saying “well poopy” after bringing her back from a chest x-ray. That is how I was told the cancer had spread to her lungs. Now I realize that she is just unprofessional and uncaring.

I’ve been bringing both of my animals here for over a year. I have both a cat and a dog and they provide the best care at a great price. The whole team is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. My vet really focused on preventative care and strategies to better take care of my pets. They are awesome and loving. My cat and dog always feel safe and warm up after a few scratches.

Dr. Anderson cared for our dog for over five years. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Anderson and her practice. Dr. Anderson is thorough and her knowledge extensive. She always took time to answer our questions with depth, compassion, and nuance. She understood our dog's personality and individual needs. The vet tech team is caring and detail-oriented. The front-desk team is responsive and works hard to make schedules and appointments happen, and offer alternatives when they can't.We had a very positive experience here and knew our dog was in excellent hands. We boarded our dog here several times as well, and recommend their services highly.
