Some of the best pizza in Carrboro! Amazing atmosphere and service, exceptional food. Pizza was delicious!Seating is a bit limited so keep that into account when you plan your dinner. And remember to ask for their daily specials!

Pleasant atmosphere, very friendly staff, and ample parking. The Cecina starter was a welcome surprise, the pickled cauliflower was a revelation. The Formaggi Misti pizza was well baked, thin crispy crust and flavorful sauce & toppings.

One of the BEST pizza dives in Carrboro! Mercato is a cozy spot that still delivers on a regal fine dining atmosphere. The service is warm, attentive and very on top of things. The food itself was delicious! I enjoyed the texture of their dough- not too thick of thin, crispy on the outside but still gives a little bit of chew. The calzones we got were a special menu item, so make sure to ask your waiter/waitress about the daily specials!

Fabulous take out experience!Person who took my order over the phone was super nice, considerate of my garbage pronunciation of the menu (sorry!), and helpful with specifics on when to get there, where to park etc.The food was hot, correct, tasty and well packaged. What you need to know:- the place is tiny! Because of this, they get very busy. I had to call 15 times in a 20min span to get through on the phone. Your patience will be rewarded!- Also because they are small, you can only call to order takeout. No online and you cannot go in (to my knowledge). After you order/pay over the phone, they’ll give you a time to park in a designated take out spot. then they bring your order out! :) (I called and let them know I was there and thankfully got right through, but not sure if that’s necessary)- the parking lot is tiny too. I had to wait for the for previous person waiting to get the “take out” spot. There are places nearby you can park until your time.-Pizzas are all the same size and I would say medium sized. For average adults, I would say it serves two people, but one person could eat it if they were hungry. We (6) ordered three pizzas and a salad, most of us ate 2-3 slices and there was pizza left over. Also tried the arancini (rice balls) and they were fantastic! Basic salad was good, but some may find it a little pricey for content. We weren’t huge fans of the lemon cake, but it may have been our personal preference. It was a little dry for us. (Its probably better in house with the sauce fresh on it TBF)Overall excellent flavors and customer service! We’ll be back!

The food was delicious in the moment, but I’m sorry to say that I and my friends definitely got some mild food poisoning from this place — we all experienced stomach pains after having the grilled octopus and the puttanesca and funghi pizzas. Service was great, though!

Went to Mercato tonight to unwind after a hard couple of months away, with some much needed me time and a craving for carbs. I was greated with exceptional service and the most lovely, caring staff. Aliza and Emma provided great service and were very knowledgeable, hospitable, not to mention whimsical, and made my night. And just like that…. a great night in the town

Always a phenomenal time. Can't go wrong with the quartino serving of wine and the field of greens salad. Then choose between a classic pizza or one of the seasonal ones and you won't be disappointed. Always a great time. Friendly staff. A little loud in the establishment.

What can i say? The man is a magician...hands down the best pizza in the triangle I've tried so far. Crust is absolute perfection. Thin and crispy(NY style almost) but with a Neapolitan style twist.

Our favorite place. Fantastic food, great service. Pizza is the best around, very similar to when we visited Italy. Everyone is very friendly. I recommend to friends all the time.

Zero flop Neapolitan? Yes. Amazing toppings, piping hot, careful with the cheese or will melt your face. I think the giant metal gas oven brings the Neapolitan into the firm place that most others can’t achieve. Amazing toppings, we had three pizzas. Formaggi Misti (4 cheese), the Puttanesca (anchovies, olives, capers, chili, garlic…plus cheese), and the special last night was a shredded brussel sprout with chunks of guanciale and pecorino. Very accommodating place for the kids, even asked about allergies at the table without us saying anything. Great staff, great food, must check it out! Setting was great, empty bottles for the water is a neat idea. Staff were super polite to the kids.Dietary restrictions: mindful of food allergies, sensitivities, and mentioning that guanciale was pork (and it was delicious)Parking: tight spots, worth the waitKid-friendliness: asked about allergies at the table without us saying anything, talked to the kids, polite, friendly

Rudest people in North Carolina I’ve ever met. Arrived at 830. Place is full. People are waiting for tables. People at the bar have menus they are looking at to order. I sit down at the bar and don’t need a menu and I say I know what they want. They refuse to serve me saying it is now past 8:30 and even though they are going to be seating people at tables and at the bar, they won’t serve me.
