106 NC-54, Carrboro“I shop here pretty often at this location pretty often since it's really close to where I live but the shopping experience lately has been a "mess". I don't know why but I feel like they are understaffed and sometimes the self-checkouts are not working. The organization of the products etc. could have been better, too.”
“I found their website when I was looking for a certain style Pouilly Fume online. I ended up buying a case, but then also asked Rich for some recommendations. Really good example of how a wine shop should be run...share your preferences, then rely on an expert to give you some recommendations. I've been really happy with what he's provided, I'll be ordering again.”
“Howdy! Ofcourse, everyone has a right to their opinion, however, as a supporter of local businesses and female entrepreneurs, I'd like to address Ms. Amy Morrow's poor review, simply because I don't want this particular opinion to deter anyone from coming to one of the most quaint local wine shops in town! As a non-biased animal lover who does NOT currently have pets, it's important to note that Southern Village is an incredibly pet friendly neighborhood and Rocks+Acid has accomodated pets and pet parents as evidenced by the Pet Friendly SIGN in front of the establishment. If you don't like pets...then perhaps consider a different venue? In addition, in the 2 years I've visited this wine shop, I have never encountered a loud or annoying pet and this seems to have been an anomaly...not the norm. The owner Paula and her team, strive to provide excellent customer service and if the dog annoyance was brought to anyones attention, it would have been addressed respectfully. There IS an eclectic variety of wine selections and the wine pour on the contrary is quite generous! And the seats? Really? You're going for wine tasting, not dinner! Whether you want to have a solo date with a good book, share some time with your partner or family, or hang out with friend,Rocks and Acid is a prime spot for great wine and a great vibe! 100% will continue going back!”
“We were so happy to find this shop after moving from NY seven years ago! We live nearly an hour away, but I try to stop in whenever I'm in the area and pick up some basics & favorites like, feta, tyropita, ION chocolates, gyro meat, etc. The owner is always so kind and often offers to help me to the car with everything whenever I have my little one with me. :)”
“This liquor store offers a wide selection of spirits, catering to various tastes and preferences. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, providing assistance in finding the right products. The store is well-organized, making it easy to navigate and locate items. Prices are competitive, and they often have promotions or discounts available. Overall, it's a great place to shop for all your alcohol needs.”
“very friendly employees, and somehow the manager knew my first name even though I didn't remember ever meeting him before. hey as long as they keep the Bold Rock Imperial cider in the quick-grab cold case up front I'll keep coming back.”
“I love World Market's Holiday events and what they have in store in general! Such a great place to shop for novelties, and at this store it's always well kept, fun, and serviced by the best people. Mr. Mertrice made me laugh my butt off and was the best cashier ever! Was so kind and helpful he even got me to sign up for a rewards account :)”
“A husband and wife were working the store, and you could tell that they LOVED their town! We already were planning to attend a Bulls baseball game, but they were so passionate about their team, and ESPECIALLY the mascot, we loved their energy! Excited to be going to a game tonight! THANK YOU TWO! ???”
“My wife and I are fans of this ABC Store located in Meadowmont Village, just off 54 in Chapel Hill. It's clean, feels safe, and the customer service has been good on our two visits so far. This ABC Store is small compared to others, but it's had what we've wanted. My wife picked up some tequila for margaritas and I got part of my groomsmen gifts here. I think the same guy helped us both times. For the gifts, shortly after we entered, he asked us if he could help us look for anything. After telling him that I was looking for bourbon to gift to my groomsmen, he immediately had something in mind and walked us down to the shelf where bottles of Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack Double Mellowed Tennessee Whiskey sat. He said it was nice bourbon and that was good enough for me. I trusted his opinion. He sounded genuine and he's the expert, not me. We grabbed six 375 mL bottles at $18.95 each. After 7% North Carolina state tax, my total rang up to $121.66. The bottles looked nice and I thought they were an ideal gift. The employee got us a box to transport the whiskey. They reuse empty beverage boxes for this purpose, like the boxes at Costco. He got me a Suntory Whisky box that fit all six bottles perfectly. They're strict about IDs here. First thing after we entered, we were asked if we were both at least 21 and had IDs. You can't make a purchase here unless everyone in your party is at least 21 and has identification to prove it. My wife and I are from Georgia (where ABC isn't even a thing, BTW). Before ringing us up, the employee scanned the code(s) on the back of our Georgia driver's licenses. Surprisingly, in over 20 years, that was the first time I'd ever seen that done. This is one of three ABC Stores in Chapel Hill. The other two locations are at 251 Perkins Drive and 1724 Fordham Boulevard. These are part of the Orange County ABC Store network that includes eight locations total. The other Orange County locations are in Carrboro, Eno, Hillsborough, and Mebane.”
“My partner and I come here regularly, we love the atmosphere, the staff are always willing to help and chat. Great recommendations every time! We have found wine here we can't find anywhere else in the area.”
“Love this place! They have a great selection and if there is something you want they don’t have in store, they are so great to find what you want at the best price! Katherine (the manager) was so helpful and researched champagnes for me and I found the perfect option in my price range. I’ll definitely be coming here again!”
“Absolutely the best store!!! We have never been here...I cannot believe the selections and how many imported foods and drinks they have here. We will definitely go back again.”
“Always a laid back vibe in this store. I know that some of the people who work for this company have been with them for dozens of years. Talk about job retention.”

11312 US Hwy 15 501 N, Chapel Hill“This is hands down my favorite ABC store to visit. I don't go to ABC stores often, but when I do I prefer this location. The guys who work here are incredibly friendly and helpful. They greet you upon arrival and ask if you want any help. Definitely accept their help since it will make your trip go by much quicker. I also like how they have a separate local section so you can find that bedlam vodka and conniption gin right away. At the beginning of COVID-19, the employees would grab the items you need for you. Now you can shop for yourself and there is a limit on the number of customers in the building at one time. Masks are required and the employees are also wearing masks. Parking is easy - angle/perpendicular parking is available right out front.”

202 NC-54, Durham“I needed gluten free flatbread to make homemade pizza. I'm not familiar with GF bec it was for a guest. I approached the bread man who was stocking named Kevin. He was super nice and all he had was loaf and he directed me to the bakery/deli section after telling me to also check frozen. I headed first to deli. A nice young woman named Jamiya in the deli, instead of telling me where to look, walked me all over the store including back to the bread guy to get more info on GF. We went to refrig biscuit section w/ no luck, pie crusts section then finally found GF frozen pizza dough. Another employee Kirsten helped join in the search as well. Jamiya even read off some of the ingredients/directions on the packaging bec I could not see very well. Outstanding service! I haven't been treated this well in a very long time. Bravo Harris Teeter! I wanted to do a HT survey but there wasn't one on my receipt. This is my new go to store. Has it's gas station at bottom of parking lot- very convenient.”

3620 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd, Durham“this store is always neat as a pin and shelves are fully stocked. very efficient checkout, staff is friendly, although the presence of an armed officer at all times is a little hard to ignore, it makes sense here (I'm looking at you Harris Teeter, why do you need full-time armed security for a grocery store?)”
“The little boy named charlie in the produce section and salad bar was very friendly with helping me find what i needed thanks to him i was able to enjoy my night with my family”
“Great selection, really interesting asthetic (the place is like Disneyland but for groceries) and there's a beer den. People actually hang out here....at a grocery store...they hang out and have beers! It's great!!”

116 W Barbee Chapel Rd, Chapel Hill“We are all entitled to our own opinions right? Well here's mine: Location: 5Parking: 5Decor/Ambiance: 5Customer Service: 4Open 24:7 ... that's right seven days a week twenty four hours a day... and in Durham! The best thing smoking in this area. This location is always clean. And they are always stocked with everything I need. The staff is friendly and the location is kool. I'm just excited about it being open 24 hours a day. I wish the hot bar in the Asian bar was open 24 hours a day.”
“Love this store. Great selection, great customer service. One time i got a product that had mold and i returned and showed them. They apologized, let us replace it with another of same or different brand and were extremely pleasant. It wasn’t their fault, product wasn’t expired, and it wasn’t obvious or easily visible, but they did right by us with no issue. This store is super nice.”
“It's a pleasure to come to this store, especially compared to Guess rd. Staff is so nice, helpful and actually say hello when passing by. I feel good when I come here to shop.”
“This Harris Teeter location offers the best subs in town, and their prices are unbeatable. I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the mood for a delicious and affordable sub. Their sushi bar looks great and fresh as well. Hands down, a top notch choice compared to overpriced sub shops!”

1125 NC-54, Durham“This is the best possible pharmacy experience, every time. I’ve recommended everyone I know in the area to switch to this HT. Everyone is helpful, kind, friendly, and deserves to be paid way above market rate for their superior service. Love it!”
“They are always so nice and they have samples sometimes and someone nice ask you if you would like one. And each time I definitely like the sample. So new thing on the way for sure”
