“My wife and I are way into antiques. We have been looking for a new spot in the area, and I stumbled across Oddities and Such from Google. We stopped in today, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have found this spot. This is such a cool place, filled to the brim with carefully curated treasures and we felt honored to look around. But, if I’m being honest, our time with Big Red really made our day. Richard is a wonderful guy who cheerfully greeted us at the door. We struck up a conversation and ended up finding he likes orange soda. We had to run to the ATM to get cash (this place is cash only) and we picked him up an ice cold orange soda as a little surprise. In our conversation, I found out that our birthdays are one day apart. He started calling me Little Red (because of my red hair) and shared stories with us about his childhood and his past adventures. All in all, today we left this shop feeling excited for the wonderful things we found and fulfilled from the time we got to spend with our new friend, Big Red. Seriously, I’ll be back like once a week now, not only to check out the new finds but to check in on one of the coolest guys I have ever met.”

“We had a great experience working with Sam at this Mattress Firm location! She was incredibly helpful and patient and also helped us find a great deal on an outlet version of the mattress we wanted. We didn’t even know about the outlet program where Mattress Firm will sterilize a mattress that was returned (only used by one customer) and sell it for a discount if it meets NC safety standards. This allowed us to get a Beauty Rest black mattress in a King size for about $2000 instead of over $4000. The Presidents’ Day sale was also happening at the same time and because we didn’t need the free adjustable frame, Sam helped us get sheets and a mattress protector of the same value. Delivery was a few days later and the team was on time and very professional. Our bed frame was purchased from a different retailer online.”

He helped us find an amazing bed and gave us space to talk between ourselves and if you have ever shopped in a furniture store you know how aggressive some salespersons can be. Offered us multiple options and took no for an answer when we decided against his/ashley furnitures headboard options. Which is why we felt confident in spending well over 8 grand with him! “I was in need of 2 mattresses to be delivered to my new apt OOT. I called my local store and spoke with Don. He was very friendly and helpful. He answered my questions about delivery and then asked me questions about the type and size of mattress I was looking for, how I sleep, my price range, etc. Don then made a couple of recommendations, and gave me info to research the mattresses online.When I visited the store, I met with Paul. He was very honest and patient while answering my many questions. He suggested mattresses to me, allowed me to lie down on 10+ mattresses, discussed the pros and cons of each product, and helped me to make decisions. I spent almost 3 hours with Paul! I spent way more money than I had planned to, but feel good about my choices. I am excited to sleep on my new luxurious mattress!The only negative about my experience was the fact that Paul spent a long time on the computer finalizing my order, and then he realized that one of the mattresses was out-of-stock. I will need to wait an additional week for delivery. That is really OK, because I can stay with a relative and I KNOW my purchases will be worth the wait!!”

I love supporting a small local business, and I stumbled across Palette & Parlor after all the local furniture stores in Austin didn’t pan out. I worked with Ivy and she’s super kind, helpful, and definitely patient. She really impressed me because she’s honest and fair and I appreciated that more than anything. The shipping was relatively fast and they were very gentle on my piece during transport (the box didn’t have a mark on it!) “Dave and his partners are brilliant and expert artists. Our experience was absolutely wonderful! We went to Dave with a vision of what we wanted for our master bedroom furniture (bed, night stands, and chest of drawers) and some pictures of styles we liked. Dave got right to creating a few different drawings from what he had heard and seen in our conversations. He was super responsive and open to feedback, and very patient as we changed our minds (wood type, style details, etc... very patient!). When the big reveal came (aka delivery), we were grinning from ear to ear. Even from very detailed computer drawings, you never quite know what you'll get, but our delivery was better than we could have ever imagined. Dave and his team take their profession to the next level, and you will not be disappointed either. On a side note, Dave is very very involved in the community. I only learned of this when we saw his family out at a museum a few months later, but it further warmed my heart to know we were customers to such a talented artist and wonderful man (he is an incredible foster parent).”

“After looking online at the sactionals we went to the store to see how the couch felt and how it could be configured. Rinn and Estephanie took great care of us giving us all sorts of tips and input on which materials to choose, which level of cushioning to select and how we could arrange the couch to meet our needs. Many of the tips were based on their experiences with their own sactionals at home. The wooden models really helped us figure out how it would look in our home and were fun to play with. They were also patient with us as we managed our kids during the discussion, didn’t pressure us, and ultimately helped us figure out how to apply the best discounts. The “Heroes Discount” for medical workers and teachers helped us save a bunch. We really appreciate their help and can’t wait for our couch to show up tomorrow (4 days from ordering).”

“It's terrific that they have a smaller version of target for the college kids along the street of bars and restaurants. We found it super helpful as we were able to drop in here to get a cooler shirt to wear as you can really work up a sweat on a nice day strolling along these sidewalks. They have of course have TARHEELS merch. It did appear to be the only baby clothing inside the store and I was happy to find grandson something cooler to wear also. A nice addition to the area to supply basic needs.”

“I think this location is great and I would recommend coming here. I just needed a iPhone car mount and they had the magic mount that I was looking for. There was some water on the floor from a leaking fridge system, but other than that the store seems clean. The customer service is good and checkout was easy. The only reason I have been hesitant to come here is because of not knowing where to park. However, there is a parking deck next door that has free parking for the first forty five minutes.”

“Today I was having a bad day and the cashier at lane 11 afternoon shift made it wayyy better, his name tag had initials I think the first one was J . When I say I've never met the nicest most genuine cashier in my life... Literally the coolest dude for a cashier . That just made me love target even more.”

“This is my favorite target!! It gets pretty crowded, but they always have what I need. Everything is neat and organized, and the groceries are pretty reasonably priced even though Target can be known for being on the more expensive side. I like that the self checkout is 10 items or less, it makes it go by much faster and is great for a quick trip in and out. I also use the drive up service all the time, which is super convenient. Also, it's in a great shopping center near Home Goods and Michael's and a few good food places. Great for a quick shopping day.”

“We used the drive up service again. It is even smoother, faster and more efficient than when we last used it. We ordered from home and headed to the store. We clicked that we were in the drive up lane and our order was at our car in less than a minute. The young lady was very professional and friendly and placed our order in our trunk. We were in and out in less than 5 minutes. Very impressive operation.”

“It’s a love hate relationship- love all the decor items and hate I can’t buy them all. Especially now in the fall with Halloween, Thanksgiving, & Christmas items out. The staff is always available if I need them. Throughout the years they have definitely been a help to me.”
