Got a call back on the April 4th saying my account was overdue when I had just payed the 1,301 the month before and had a manager named Richard call me and tell me I’m good. I tried to get on the phone with a manager named Carol to discuss my account and she said she too busy and could not get on the phone. I see that this credit union has a new ceo and word of advice fire the entire staff. Everyone I spoke on the phone was rude annd unhelpful even though I sent screenshots proving I paid they said they still are not believing me. I am so upset and would recommend no one to go to this credit union. I’ve been dealing with this for 2 months and it’s ridiculous at this point. I have spoken to the number of names the last 2 months Shaneka, Milton, Hazel, Charles, Mary, Malik, Carol, Destiny, Brandy, and Norma with some names I forgot to write down. This is what you are dealing with if you go to this credit union a million different people telling you a million different things. Good luckNow it is April 5th I put the manager Richard of a 3 way with my bank to prove that I paid my payment and he still continues to not believe me and my bank!!!Update my situation has still not been resolved and Richard called me and says I need to find more proof that it was paid even though I’ve sent screenshots and gotten him on 3 way with the bank. I hate this bank and I think it’s ridiculous that they don’t believe their customers even when it’s been proven. Had a women from corporate call me and never called me back afterwards and no one else has tried to get in contact to help me. Ridiculous I am so upset. $400 payment just missing

I honestly don't get why other people are so upset. I've only had good experiences with them. Even when I got locked out of my account, they were super helpful and got it unlocked in 5 minutes, with no hassle.

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Coastal. I’ve purchased two cars with loans from them and dealt with other matters. If they had a physical location in Greensboro, I would move all my business to them. I have experienced excellent customer service from this branch, particularly from Wyatt. I was dealing with a frustrating bank making things much more difficult than they had to be and Wyatt very patiently did more work than he should have had to do to make a stressful situation work out. His customer service is impressive, particularly since we have only interacted over the phone and via email.

Don't usually leave reviews on businesses, but I think this bank was bad enough to warrant one from me. STAY AWAY!Absolutely AWFUL. Many, many, many hoops to jump through, and terribly unhelpful service. I wanted to make a transfer to an external account and I hadn't used this bank in several years and was preparing to close my account and transfer funds to finance a new place, so I assumed starting a month ahead of when I needed the money would be plenty of time. Almost three weeks later, and the money is nowhere to be seen. It took almost a full week to even gain access to my accounts and several phone calls with largely unhelpful representatives who refused to answer any questions or provide helpful alternatives to recovering info (you'd think a full social, account number, phone number, home address, email, two most recent transactions, and bank numbers would be enough, but you'd be wrong), and once I did, I had to begin a process to open ANOTHER account with Coastal in order to transfer the money to THAT account to move it to another bank. After several (business) days, that account finally was opened, it took several more to transfer the funds there, and then I found they use a third party service to conduct external transfers, and so I had to go through that system and run a check which again took almost a week to ensure the accounts were properly coordinated. That finally went through, and I begun the process of transferring funds. I am now on the sixth day of waiting for THAT to happen, and finally something did! My money vanished into thin air. The account has had the money withdrawn from it, but nothing has updated on the "in progress" notation through the transfer site. I called customer service and, of course, was given dodgy answers, told it had actually been one business day technically (actually, it's been three), told they couldn't check on the process, it was the other bank's fault, etc. etc. I would like to resume closing my account but at this point I'm honestly afraid they'll just take my money and run at the sign of me walking through the door. Almost a month and I don't have the money I left with them, seems more like a scam than a bank that's supposed to be semi-respectable.

The worst banking service I've had in my entire life!Opened a secured credit card account last year, to have the account upgraded after 12 months and the deposit released, however, this horrible and unprofessional institution closed my account rather than upgrading it and caused my credit score to plummet so bad when I was about to move to a new apartment and now my score is not enough! It literally ruined my life.So terrible in communication, not responsive to emails, when calling get shuffled between all departments!I just wish if there's a way I can complain them to authorities, really nothing more frustrating than feeling like a helpless customer at a horrible institution! If any one can advise, please let me know if there's a way to file a complain to a federal agency about them!

Decent bank but, the loan is always a no go for me. Even when I need just a $200 line of credit to take my sick dog to the vet and would have paid back within 3 days?! I was denied. My dog needed antibiotics so, I went hungry for two days so my dog could get better. Now, I'm in a situation where my girlfriend and me broke up and needed a little more cash so i could move out into a apartment and denied again. I've been banking here for almost 6 years and you won't even help me or my dog but, you want me to keep depositing money into your branch?

Terrible location. Don’t even waste your time coming here. Couldn’t even bother to update it on google that they were closed like every other business. Very irresponsible & a waste of my time!

Just horrible. I alerted them to pervious debit card not being delivered to my address and had to pick it up from branch. They had plenty of time and warning about previous experience with debit card not being delivered to my address. My current debit was cancelled(because they didn't deliver me a new one) and now I have new debit card number and have to contact all payments with old debit card number. Just lazy and horrible service.
