Five stars for sure. We had a couple of issues with the rental during our vacation and the customer service was outstanding. Amy at the Carolina Beach office went above and beyond to help us with one issue in particular. When we decide to vacation in the area again, I am definitely using Intracoastal Realty again.

This company has amazing customer service. A tenant's vehicle leaked oil on my concrete driveway and they had someone out the very next morning to have it cleaned. The oil stain is completely gone.

Stayed at the Sands, week of 6/11-6/18/2022. The kitchen sink wouldn't drain, so unable to use for a day. Commode not flushing, unable to use for 9 hours. Per Ian Crouse, at Intracoastal, the owner approved a refund equal to one day. I requested refund of the one full day and nine hours for the time the commode wasn't working. Not to mention all the phone calls and disruption of my vacation. I was having work done on my home, so was looking forward to relaxing. My request was not unreasonable. I have read some unfavorable reviews about this company. Seems like they are legitimate. Vivian Maynor

Intracoastal was able to save our vacation this past July. They were able to find us a rental on a Wednesday morning, with a Saturday checkout during the week of July 4th. They were kind, responsive and understanding. Our vacation would have been ruined if it wasn't for their efforts to give great customer service and take care of their customers. The condo was beautiful, clean and well maintained. I can't express enough how great this company is.

I had a great experience renting from this company last week. I contacted Intracoastal Realty halfway during our weekly vacation in Carolina Beach. The rental unit we were provided with through another company was absolutely horrific and roach infested, so I was frantically calling around to any and all rental companies in the area to find another rental to get us out of our hell hole. All of the staff I spoke with after explaining our situation and the need to book immediately were very helpful, accommodating, and understanding to our situation. We were able to book Sea Colony B2 around 11 AM and we were able to check in and pick up our keys by 4 PM that same day. The staff member who checked us in was very helpful and friendly. The unit we rented was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Check out at the end of our stay was a breeze. Everyone in the group enjoyed our stay.f we had not found a rental through this company we had planned on switching flights and heading home early because of how bad our current rental was. I am very lucky to have found this place to rent from, it literally saved our vacation. Looking forward to renting from Intracoastal again in the future when I am in Carolina Beach. Thanks again!

We rented from Intracoastal Rentals for our family vacation in July 2020. The location of the rental was amazing however the property was already occupied, with roaches. They were so many roaches that we ended up leaving our rental after 2 days and Intracoastal didn't even refund us for our entire week. They didn't seem to worried about us having to vacate the property due to the roaches. Ended up throwing away food and other things since we had to finish out our week at a hotel that didn't have a kitchen. They need to do their due diligence to ensure the quality of the properties that they are managing. We stayed at Reeds IV 1D.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS REALTY COMPANY. My mom is a realtor and I have had many positive experiences renting in Wilmington; however, renting from Intracoastal has been a chore since we initially showed interest in a property and had to contact THEM, multiple times to sign a lease instead of the company following up. I should have recognized this as the red flag it was. The staff are completely disorganized, unhelpful and either never in their office or absolutely too stupid/lazy to utilize a telephone. We rented a house for ~900 dollars and in our lease agreement it said "washer and dryer included"- not only did the washer and dryer not work, it took SIX MONTHS for Intracoastal to deliver our new appliances which we continued to pay for each month. But whatever, I am a patient person so I did not complain. Now, I have finally had it. Their incompetence is causing me to have to go to court. My boyfriend has called the company MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY for over a week to set up the auto draft for our rent because he was going to be out of town on business and unable to drop off the rent in person AND NO ONE HAS BEEN CAPABLE OF CALLING HIM BACK FOR OVER A WEEK. Now, we have received a notice we are to be in court because our rent was obviously not paid. Unprofessional, lazy, incompetent. I cannot say it enough. Intracoastal is such a poorly run company, if they fired the current manager and replaced them with a toddler, I doubt anyone would notice.

I can’t speak about Intracoastal realty in general, but I can tell you about Alicia Devereaux. My husband and I wanted to buy a house in the Carolina Beach / Kure Beach area, and we contacted Alicia based on a friend's recommendation. We couldn't have asked for a better realtor. Alicia is very knowledgeable about the area. She worked to meet our needs, letting us know which areas that looked great in February would become high traffic and full of party animals come summer, and directed us to some very nice properties. After we found our dream house, and were under contract and negotiating repairs, the seller died. Alicia worked tirelessly with the executor of the seller's estate and the lawyers to get our house for us. We had a walk through the day before closing, and found the house to be dusty and dirty, with things lying around that should have been thrown out. Rather than have us feel disappointed, Alicia found professional cleaners and paid for them to come on closing day to do a deep cleaning. We are so happy with our beach house, and could not be more pleased with Alicia. She is top notch, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy a house or condo in the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area.

Roaches. The company said they would come spray. They sent someone and blamed us even though we were only there one night. They were crawling on us. We ended up leaving a day early because they never sent the pest control people. It was disgusting. A beautiful location but horrible service.
