My recent experiences at Lowe's in Cape Carteret have been consistently disappointing. Twice in the past two weeks, I visited the store needing 4x8 plywood sheets cut down to 4x4 because I lack a trailer or truck. Both times, I was informed that their saw was broken. This issue has occurred multiple times in the past as well, making it clear that maintenance and customer service are severely lacking. It's unacceptable for a hardware store of this caliber to have such frequent equipment failures, leaving customers like myself unable to complete basic tasks. Additionally, the responses from staff have been unsatisfactory, merely suggesting to "try back again" or to "rent a trailer" instead of addressing the root problem. I urge Lowe's to prioritize proper maintenance and customer satisfaction to prevent further inconvenience to customers.

If I could them a negative five star review I would. DO NOT USE THEIR INSTALLATION SERVICES. You are much better off paying a local contractor 1/2 down and taking your chances. Lowes makes you pay 100% the cost in advance and you get screwed over anyways.10K dollars paid on October 12 for a fence and February 2, after waiting here all day for another delivery to have the fence materials delivered - once again because they were damaged and what a fiasco getting new ones shipped, and the installer to be here on Monday, I once again have been told incorrect information. The installation department blames it on the store, the store blames it on the installation department. Don't waste your time or money!

I have been shopping less and less at Lowe’s. Great store and staff, easy and quick return procedures but, the pricing is outrageous. I would rather just order on Amazon and wait, or I’ll give the money to smaller local business. Lowe’s has buying power to keep cost a little lower than their competitors. Maybe I am wrong. I know everything is expensive but why can I buy products 30-40% less online then buying at Lowe’s??

Went to Lowes today for some glue that I had in the past. As usual they did not carry it, so O substituted for another product I hope will work. I am tired of going to this store and they usually don't have what I need. Now the kicker. They took away all registers and replaced with those self serve register. I am done with Lowes and will travel another 15 min to their competition. I like a person when checking out of a store.

IF I COULD GIVE THIS STORE 0 STARS I WOULD!!!If you are a person of color or someone who's not white, please don't go to this Lowes. My dad worked for this Lowes for over five years, after serving in the military for 30 years. He dedicated a lot of time to this place and created a positive work environment. However, this Lowes did not show him the same dedication. My dad had experienced racism while working for this Lowes. Management never did anything to rectify these situations. On one occasion, someone placed a noose in my dad's section. It was clearly directed at him as the only black man working that day. Management, again, never did anything to fix this. Their response was, "What did you expect? This is the South."I would highly recommend going someplace else for your home-improvement supplies. Why give your money to a company that stands idle while its employees get harassed? Lowes has proven that they don't care about their employees (especially their black employees). Needless to say, if you are a person of color searching for employment, do not come here! The racism and discrimination you will face isn't worth the money.

This place needs some healthy competition! I bought a dishwasher and was told installation was backed up a couple of weeks. No problem. Installer contacted me the next day and said the first available option was 24 days away (We’re starting to have a problem.). I took off from work on that day only to have the installer call and tell me Lowe’s had sold my dishwasher that I had already paid for. They said Lowe’s will contact me in about 15 minutes.I never heard from them.Two days later I go in the store and they know nothing about it, but found out another one just happened to show up that day and they would reschedule the appointment immediately. Sounds like a good solution so far. I understand mistakes happen.I left the store and received a call saying the next install date was two more weeks out! Apparently the installation company is two and a half hours away.I saw on some similar reviews that Lowe’s responded with a number to call to resolve complaints like this one, so I tried it. They simply apologized and said there was nothing they could do.If the contractor is that backed up, why not call another one? Stay tuned to see if this thing shows up.

This is a very nice Lowes. It is probably a Flagship store. Layout is nice, bathroom at front. Clean, personnel are friendly.
