This is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to, say prescriptions are ready when they're not and seem not to care about whether they get things right or not. They're actually rude and dismissive which is really bad when you're trying to get a much needed prescription. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.

When it comes to the pharmacy, it is the worst. I had a prescription called into Walgreens. I looked on the App to make sure the prescription was ready for pickup. On the App, there is an option to view coupons for the medicine. I clicked on a coupon and it noted to give the Walgreens personnel. I did just that only to be told the coupon was not valid.... it was on the WALGREENS APP. I showed the drive-thru associate how I came upon the coupon. She then said it was not in their system and I could call Walgreens....really? I'm at Walgreens... I left without my medicine.I moved all my prescriptions from Walgreens and thought I would give them another try. NEVER AGAIN!! Small hometown pharmacies are the way to go... BYE-BYE WALGREENS AND YOUR INCOMPETENCE.

In my experience, I had a very frustrating time at Walgreens pharmacy. I was asked to provide the same information five times, which was extremely repetitive and time-consuming. Even worse, the pharmacy claimed that my insurance could not accept my medication due to gender reasons, which seemed like an arbitrary excuse. Additionally, they said that my insurance wouldn't accept their formulary, which was unacceptable. As a patient, I rely on pharmacies to provide efficient and accurate medication, and it seems that Walgreens failed to deliver on both fronts. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this pharmacy. It is crucial for pharmacies to have helpful and efficient customer service to ensure patients receive the care they need.

Worthless. Packed, labeled and ready to ship but they’re not “full service” apparently. The only service I need is for you to take this package behind your counter and let the FedEx driver pick it up. Apparently it’s a few pounds too heavy…ridiculous.

Worst Walgreens to exist. The service is slow. You wait 20-30 mins, not sure why. They don't act like they know how do to their job. They're always all over the place, prescriptions are never ready, and it takes them 10 mins to find your prescription everytime. Whoever runs this Walgreens should be embarrassed.

If you have meditation to do in vehicle while waiting for your prescriptions sure cause you sure could. My average wait time is 15-25 min and have waited as long as 45 min in line and I'm talking 3-5 cars in line. I know it's insurance and probably not the employee but to make someone wait after being alerted their script is ready and waiting is a false advertisement on Walgreens part! It's not ready! Then being told to drive around and wait again per vehicle... the inside however is great and always friendly associates.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD YOU EVER USE THIS PHARMACY. They should be shut down due to incompetence and malpractice. I repeat, do not use them. They are terribly understaffed and overstressed. Consequently, they make many, many mistakes. Sometimes if you don't know better and verify what they do, you could potentially be hurt by their incompetence. Sometimes you're lucky and they only just charge you the wrong amount or file your insurance improperly. I recently went to get a refill and they wanted to charge me $279 for 6 pills. I am covered by two plans. The primary doesn't pay, but the secondary does. They only try the primary and when it doesn't pay, they charge the full price. Every time that prescription has been refilled I've had to explain to them what to do. They have all information on hand. They just do it wrong every single time! Magically, $279 for 6 pills (one month) goes to less than $10 for 3 months when I tell them how to do it correctly. But why should I have to tell them? It's their business and they can't do it. And it wastes a hell of a lot of time. From the time I request a refill, it routinely takes 2 to 3 days and hours of my time to get them filled properly. I'm sick and tired of it. Their customer service is equally bad. They send texts that prescriptions are already to pick up. When I get there they either can't find it, actually haven't refilled it, or "the system is down" so they can't give them to me even if they are already filled! You can't call on the phone to ask questions, because they don't answer, the system drops the call, or sometimes they pick up the phone and then simply hang up so it will stop annoying them. (I witnessed this while last maneuver while standing in line.)I can't use any other pharmacy nearby because the only pharmacy that can accept TRICARE in my area is Walgreens. Fortunately, TRICARE has cancelled their contract with Walgreens effective the end of 2021 and I can go back to using CVS, which is only marginally better. America, we're screwed if this is the best we can offer military retirees.

Love the Walgreens in Cape Carteret county! They are well stocked and there pharmacists are knowledgeable and the staff that work with the pharmacist are courteous as well as knowledgeable!
