I have read the many, many reviews and it is clear there are still alot of Prima Donnas in this world. I had no problem getting quick and friendly responses from staff/owners (I'm not sure). Whoever Alex is....you were so friendly via your texts. We stayed at the Mt Mitchell cabin, the largest. Sure, it would be ideal if there were no highway noises but there are, so suck it up buttercup. We even woke up to the delight of a hot air balloon lifting from the mountain across the highway. The cabin is really cute and homey inside. The beds are awesome. Shower water hot; jacuzzi water was warm but not hot. I would definitely come back!

The history of the main house is simply stunning. Waking up to the serene mountains was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!

The owners at Engadine Inn went above and beyond to make our stay special. Every single detail of the breakfast was carefully planned and we loved every second of it. By far the most over the top breakfast experience we have had at any bed and breakfast we have stayed at!

An Absolute Gem!
The main house is nothing short of spectacular. The historic charm combined with modern amenities made our stay unforgettable. Can't wait to come back!

We recently spent 4 days 3 nights in The Cherokee Cabin. My first surprise was the knee high grass surrounding the cabin, porch, fire pit and table with chairs. Our first “beautiful view” was an enormous tent with a dance floor. The cabin sat just off the interstate. If you’ve ever slept at a Motel just off Interstate 80, that’s exactly the level of noise you can expect at that cabin. They advertise fireplaces in the cabins, they fail to mention only from September to April so we had no daily wood service as advertised. Before opening a suitcase we took care of sweeping all the sawdust from the floor (carpenter bees). I would never consider going back and definitely would not recommend others do, it was a supreme disappointment.

Horrible experience. The owners are in Michigan not even at the property. No wood I was told to go to the dollar general and buy it. Sheets, blanket and towels not cleaned properly. Dirt in tub , hair in the shower drain. Plates were not cleaned well. Dog hair on the carpet. No blind on the door , it was broken on top of the refrigerator. Pictures are deceiving because I thought we were secluded and you are not. Did not feel safe when I motorcyclist came zooming through the property where the cabins are. I booked through Expedia because I did not see Engadines website. Do not do the same mistake as me. Because Engadine and Expedias communication is horrible. Engadine charged me and fought me on my payment through Expedia. It is a ashame because it can be a lovely place. Very disappointed overall.

Great place to stay! We'll be back!
We wanted to feel "away from it all" while still being decently close to Asheville. Engadine nails it- exactly what we were hoping for.

We loved staying in one of the clean and well-equipped cabins. Next time we'll be staying in the Victorian House which looks amazing.
Very close to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Hotel, and easily accessible from the freeway. But still provided the quiet and privacy we were looking for.
Plus, you can't beat the view from our porch in the morning.
Will definitely be back!

Clean, great views. Just make sure you are aware this is a self checkin like an Air B/B. If you need anything you’re on your own.

My wife and I spent four days at the bed-and-breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was incredible each morning. Tom and Rick were most accommodating and helpful with suggestions for places to eat and things to do. I would recommend this bed-and-breakfast to anyone wanting a nice getaway.

Oh, my! My husband and I had the most wonderful stay at Engadine with Tom and Rick! The house is so charming and cozy; the food is incredible and the hospitality is outstanding! And all so closs to Ashville yet away from the hustle and bustle.

We stayed in the Cherokee Cabin and it was the perfect home away from home, the views of the mountains and sky were breathtaking. And the attention to detail of the grounds was a nice touch, with beautiful trees that are lit up at night and picture perfect overlooks of the mountains surrounding the property. The owners Rick and Tom were consummate hosts and had perfect recommendations for scenic hikes and drives nearby. If you prefer a cozy night in, they provide wood for the fireplace in your cabin and graciously share a dvd collection of over 400 classic movies. Highly recommend.
