Why are there no cashiers in a military area where I have to wait 15 min in line and only option is self check out and the wait is longer as people are trying to figure out barcodes. Do better

I have always had an excellent shopping experience at this Food Lion. I went to exchange my propane tank and had my toddler son with me. One of the managers carried my propane tank to my car. Very friendly and accommodating staff!

Update- one lane open and the lin was wrapped around the store. At 5pm whe. Everyone is getting off work.

Not sure why there's two people on at the check out lanes and neither one of them wanted to let us pay?! Guess they didn't want to do their job. Just put our items back and went to Walmart instead. 8/10 we have issues at this location. Rude employees.
