Sean and his wife Melissa are both amazing personable people and very professional but also makes you feel like you have known them for ever. I took my car there (for a second opinion ?) after having been told by another company I would need a new air conditioner motor $1000. Sean said that it would be either $800 to replace the air conditioner motor or a part for $88 dollars.I told him to fix it regardless of the cost. I got a call from Melissa saying come get your car. I was expecting to pay the $800’s but it was only $88 dollars. Sean could have charged me the higher price and told me it was the air conditioner motor I would never have known the difference. I recommend this shop regardless of your mechanical needs from a simple oil change to major repairs. It’s hard to find a good mechanic let alone one who is honest and hard working but this shop and his staff surpasses all others. Support your local small businessmen

Wonderful business to use! Great turnaround time on my vehicle repairs. Honest as can be. Gave me a quote and actually charged me several hundred dollars LESS than quoted. I don’t know of many automotive repair shops that would do that. Thank you so much!

Sean and Melissa at East Coast Auto were amazing! Drove my car Subaru cross country and had issues on last day as we arrived in NC. Left a message on a holiday and Melissa called me back the same day! Got an appointment quickly and a reasonably priced repair. Called them after seeing good reviews on Google so had to leave one of my own. Highly Recommend- great experience.!

Highly recommend this auto shop. Sean really cares about helping you with your car problems. I had a very annoying issue with my car tire locks. Unfortunately, whoever serviced my tires last lost the lock (at Costco). I didn’t find this out until I went to get my tires rotated at Costco again and by then it was too late. Sean was very kind and helped me get those stubborn locks removed instead of having to pay a lot of money for the Toyota Dealership to remove them and also wait until middle of September.
Overall, very happy with all of his help and we will be back for more of our car service needs!

First experience with these folks was on the phone, me describing a problem with our Mazda hatchback not starting. Went to chain auto parts store where the battery was checked. "Fine", they said. Next morning car wouldn't start. I called East Coast and spoke with Sean. After describing the situation to him, he said "need a new battery". I asked about bringing the car in; he said "I can charge you for a diagnostic, but I'm telling you, it's the battery." Bought a battery and the car has been fine ever since. Sean didn't charge anything for his advice. Yesterday I went to him about a leaking tire on my truck. He checked it; told me to go to Discount Tires in N.M.B. Said they "do tire repairs for free. If there is a problem, bring it back and I'll put your spare on for you". He put the spare on in about 5 minutes, no questions asked. How many shops would give that kind of service??!!

Thanks again Sean for helping us out. I'm new to diesel truck ownership, and Sean spent lots of time educating us on various aspects of the diesel world. He gave our Silverado a thorough check before we head cross country with the big fifth wheel. Sean is going to get to know us, and our truck. He's earned our trust, and our business. I highly recommend East Coast Auto and Diesel. While I was traveling to Calabash, my car began to have some issues. They not only squeezed me in that Monday, but after examining my car, they determined the issue was most likely related to a recall. They could have taken advantage of me, a young female, and fixed the issue without notifying me of the recall correlation but instead they instructed me to take it to Nissan where they would handle it for free. They also didn't charge me for the time they took to inspect my car. I think this story goes to how honest and caring this shop is!

Stopped in late afternoon on Friday, 8/4/2023 with a thunderstorm rapidly approaching and an issue with my boat trailer that I needed to fix before continuing south to Charleston. Explained the problem and Sean said he'd give it a try. He proceeded to spend the next hour under my boat trailer getting me back on the road and when I asked him how much I owed him, he refused to take any money. Said he was glad he could help and to travel safe the rest of the way.The world needs more people like Sean Daily. Give this man your business, you won't be disappointed.
