The Wild Fern is a really nice shop. It smelled so good when I walked in the door. I love all the local craft items including hand crafted ornaments and pottery. I noticed they also have North Carolina cheeses and coffees. The proprietor was very welcoming too.

Of all of the shops I visited on the strip, the wild fern was must favorite. Such a cute shop and the owner was friendly. I bought some locally made earrings and am in love ?

The Wild Fern, nestled in the heart of Bryson City, NC, is truly a gem among gift shops. It was a delightful surprise to find that they are open on Sundays, a convenience that added to our enjoyable shopping experience.Upon stepping into The Wild Fern, you are instantly captivated by the diverse and unique collection of gifts on display, many of which are crafted by talented local artists. The selection ranges from gorgeous jewelry to exquisite pottery, locally roasted coffee, artesian food gifts, soaps and much more. The beauty of The Wild Fern is that every piece you pick up is not just a gift, but a story, a work of art that carries the heart of Bryson City with it.What stood out to me was the opportunity to find truly unique, one-of-a-kind gifts for my loved ones. The treasures at The Wild Fern transcend the usual touristy souvenirs and provide a piece of the local culture and artistry that you can take home with you.The Wild Fern is more than a gift shop - it's a showcase of local talent and creativity, wrapped in excellent service and convenience. Whether you're looking for a unique souvenir or a special gift, The Wild Fern is the place to find it. It's a shop I will surely return to and recommend to anyone visiting Bryson City, NC.

Not a huge fan. We walked in the store past two employees without being greeted.. my wife and I both agreed that it felt as if our presence there was not wanted. There are some cool pieces of art but the prices are a little high. I would probably go back if back in Bryson.

The Wild Fern is full of hand made artist works, and is the perfect place to find a memento of your trip to the Smokey Mountains. The helpful staff are knowledgeable about each artist represented in the shop. While you are there don't forget to pick up a gift for up coming birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries.

Debbie, the owner, is the loveliest lady and very knowledgeable about all of her products and local history. I can't wait to come back.

Nice little gallery with some cool things from local and non-local artists. Unfortunately no hours are posted on the door or the website, so you'll have to guess if they're open. I was there Saturday afternoon and they were open, but I tried to go back Sunday at 10:45am to buy more things but I was unable to do so. When I was there they were hosting a basket weaving class that looked like a lot of fun. Sadly I can't find anything about when those happen, if it is a regular thing etc. We were only in town through today, but it would be nice to know for future visits to the mountains.

Lovely local individual crafts, as opposed to some of the tacky souvenirs in Cherokee. In particular there were some nice pottery pieces. Lady in shop was lovely, very friendly and chatted to me about UK, where I'm from.
