Really really wish we had a food lion. I have been driving to Cherokee to go to Food Lion despite the fact it is 10? miles out of my way. I just like it better. Been with Food Lion over 25 years. No complaints.
The baggers at this Ingles store are horrible (with the exception of one young lady). The rest of them will overstuff your bags, put heavy stuff on top of fragile stuff. Turn frosted cakes upside down and sideways. Just spaced out and generally clueless.
The self checkout doesn't have enough room at the bagging station to put all your groceries and it malfunctions a lot or if use it every time.
Then they ask perfectly healthy people if they need "help" out with your groceries. Ugh? What? I needed HELP bagging my groceries correctly, but you can't handle that. I need HELP with more room at the self checkout bagging area. They should only ask the elderly and disabled this question if they used common sense. It is really offensive to ask everyone. Doesn't matter what their "policy" is or what excuse they give. Get a clue and fix what's broken FIRST.

Clean and stocked well. Prices sure have skyrocketed. The cashier and bagger were a bit bored and not so helpful. We're from out of town and we had to go through the routine of signing up for the discount card. It appeared to inconvenience them.
