The most respectful way I can leave a review for Walgreens Pharmacy is simply saying, y’all suck. You would think the store would hire more pharmacists to not lead into being “Temporarily Closed” for 3 days straight. Do better.

This review has nothing to do with the pharmacy at the Boone location. The employee at the front register, wearing a Duke shirt, who rudely identified herself as a manager is a big problem. She could not have been more uncooperative in solving a simple customer service problem. In fact, she seems to pride herself on this flaw. when I return to my local store in Wilmington, the friendly employee there instantly helped me. The "manager" at the Boone store is a discredit to the Walgreens brand, and to any academic institution she wears on her chest.

I came from out of town and I needed to get a quick script fill during my stay. I didn't have any issues with long wait times as others are complaining about but this review is based on a single visit so take it for it's worth. The girl behind the counter needed her adhd script refilled I think as she was just jumping and hoping around like a squirrel on crack. It was entertaining to say the least. The store is bright and clean, with everything laid out coherently. On a side note there is a Tesla supercharging station in the parking lot for all your quick charging needs.

Walked in today to find the pharmacy unexpectedly closed and that it would also be closed tomorrow, Saturday, both which are normal days. Sounds like a staffing issue. Any store like Walgreens should not have a single point of failure due such a critical customer need. The person I talked with said they might be on Sunday. My prescription cannot be transferred. I am now rethinking my move from another drug store with adequate staff.

We relocated to Boone 10 months ago and, since the Walgreens pharmacy where we lived was excellent, we transferred family prescriptions to the Boone location. Maybe it's the aftermath of Covid, but service here is slow, there is often limited register staff, I've observed rude behavior from apparently overworked pharmacists, they are frequently closed during normal posted business hours, and lines are often long.Three times now though, prescriptions I have transferred from Walgreens to another pharmacy have turned out to be significantly less expensive at the alternate pharmacy. I don't understand why.But I gave Walgreens ten months, but I'm moving all of our prescriptions to a more reliable and professional pharmacy just down the street.

Absolutely unacceptable customer service in this pharmacy….. has always in my opinion been lacking in customer service but today was the worst and the last. After taking 4 hours to fill my scripts I headed to the store to pick them up went inside as I had several OTC items to purchase as well…. Stood in line for over twenty minutes (only 1 other custom there) paid for my purchase at the pharmacy but the tech failed to bag them which I did not realize till I got home. Called to speak to the pharmacy mgr….. got 4 other people before that. Finally spoke to the pharmacy mgr who said it wasn’t her problem I left with put my stuff. I was handed 1 bag at the time of check out! I will no longer do business with this company in any capacity.

After having surgery, the pharmacy was not able to competently fill the pain med prescription for more than two hours AFTER I arrived for pick up. Then, days later on a Friday when additional meds were needed, they told me they did not have any in stock and we would need to wait until Monday. The first statement in the pharmacy oath is to relieve pain and suffering, but this pharmacy does not value that as they offered no other options. After I continued to ask questions, they "found" that they DID have the meds in stock. While I was pleased that we got the meds, this was the WORST customer service I have ever experienced, never going back there.

Not sure what the F is going on at this location but 2 times in the past 2 weeks I have been unable to pick up or submit prescriptions because " pharmacy is temporarily closed". That is there business. It is unacceptable and dangerous for patients. I am done with them!

I have never received adequate customer service from the pharmacy. They fail to contact me any time there is an issue with a prescription. I have received several prescriptions with other people's information and the wrong prescription on the bottle. From observing the technicians, I have many concerns regarding the sanitation of the pharmacy, handling of medications, and hygiene of employees.Due to my insurance, the only way I can afford my medications is through Walgreens, but if given the choice, I would have them filled at any pharmacy in Boone but this Walgreens location.

This pharmacy is the absolute worst!! Very poor customer service! If I could give a negative star I would. My husband and I have never dealt with such rude, unorganized, and just completely incompetent pharmacy staff. Everyone we dealt with over the course of 3-4 weeks had an attitude of that they shouldn’t be bothered. So many mistakes were made with my prescriptions. The first time, my PCP had escribed an Rx, but they claimed they never received it, so he resent the script a second time, and even hours later they claimed they still didn’t have it, so he sent it a third time and even had his nurse call the pharmacy to see what the issue was. While on the phone, one of the pharmacists’ “just magically” found the Rx and told the nurse that it “just wasn’t on my profile.” What does that even mean?? However, they said they would have it filled in the next few minutes, so my husband headed to the pharmacy for the 3rd time to pick it up. When he got there, he did not receive any type of apology, but was greeted by other very rude staff who said the Rx wasn’t filled yet. When it was FINALLY filled, it was after he got home that we realized they had filled the prescription with the WRONG DOSAGE and tried to argue with both my husband and the clinic that my PCP had sent it in for the dosage they filled. When all was said and done, 4 trips had been made to the pharmacy for ONE prescription! And every encounter with the pharmacy staff was met with such attitude, when they should have been nice or even apologetic, as they were the ones who constantly made mistakes. With every medication filled (even with the app, don’t use it, when they say your Rx is ready for pickup, do not trust it) there was some sort of mistake made on their end. Dealing with the Walgreens Pharmacy in Boone was an absolute nightmare and a headache. Needless to say, we will never go back!!!

Do not go here to get your Covid booster shot. They not only kept us sitting waiting for an hour amongst all the sick people picking up prescriptions but then the person who came out to do the shot was extremely rude --just called out our last name, told us where to sit, stuck us and said you're done handed us the cards with no eye contact and no words and walked out leaving us there. -- just rude.

Filling prescriptions here is a bad joke. Tried to update new insurance and just about shut them down....had to allow several more days to get prescriptions. Incredibly frustrating they are consistently slow just miserable.
