Mr. Chris Johnson came out today and installed a new 330 gallon propane tank. Replaced 1st and 2nd stage regulators, extended a pipe to accommodate going through a wall being built. Also, tested my fireplace and gave me excellent advice on what to look for when buying new logs . Chris explained how to turn on and shut off all propane valves. I was amazed at his knowledge, level of service and how he took the time to throughly go over everything. It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced such expertise. I highly recommend him and Thompson Propane services.

This past winter we had Thompson's monthly fill-up service. Called to cancel the monthly fill-ups because we could not afford the $600 charge, and the oil was no longer necessary as warm weather was right around the corner. When I called to cancel I was told that the automatic fill-up service would stop. A few weeks go by and we get another automatic fill-up and a charge for $600. Had to call, be told there was nothing that could be done, was out another $600 and had to cancel the service for a second time. Would recommend a company that actually fulfills customer requests and does not screw them out of hundreds of dollars. Thompson Gas is not that company.

Service is non existent since Thompson Gas bought Energy United. Employees and customers are leaving due to new ownership. Hours on hold to reach customer service, over 2 weeks to get propane refilled, manager does NOT return calls, no service techs in area of Alexander county. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!

I have been with Thompson Gas for over 3 years.i have had the best service every time I needed it. The last service I needed Chris J did such a good job and recommended soon I need to switch my logs because of age, he did not try and sell me , just made a suggestion. Highly recommend them.

Horrible customer service experience! You have to wait 10 days to get service. Wanted me to wait 2 weeks for oil. Every time I call have to wait to get service. Manager is never available and have to get upset every time I call to get oil. Worst customer service experience! Good Luck if you don't want to freeze!
