Wonderful environment for new and experienced skaters.
The employees are always great help and are very honest about pricing and what will work for your skating needs.
Bought a pair of soft cruising wheels and spacers, with skate lube for my skateboard and spent around $49.
Everything is well priced and the employees are very communicative and supportive.

Lots of shops here in Boone area but none that can top the customer service, knowledge, courtesy, and just over all kindness of RECESS! Always stop in for a look and everyone is always so helpful. JOSH is the man! Patient, took the time to help/educate on some new snowboard bindings, walked me through choices, I'm always between sizes in everything, he made sure they were a good fit for my boot, board and stance! Made some great suggestions to enhance my riding! Worked out great!!! A few runs down the mountain and leaving this review!! Appreciate you guys!

The service from the gentleman at the front was great. I called before coming and asked for a product and if they had it. And he told me they had a few to choose from. Talked to me like I was a person and not a sale. He was kind, informed, and honest. Since we were visiting and needed some masks for the snow, we dropped by and he helped us through the whole process. I wish I could have gotten his name. The store is clean and organized. 12/10 would recommend. Prices were decent and helped me get the cheapest/best for my value. Def make a a stop here. Great shop and great employees.

My wife and I are new to snowboarding. PJ was super helpful getting us into the right equipment. What’s more, PJ spent extra time getting the fit right. I highly recommend Recess for your skating, snowboarding and apparel needs. Super cool products and better people.

Always my first stop, and generally my last. The whole crew that they assemble is always amazing. Always have the freshest gear and the vibe is just amazing. Came here the other day to purchase a board for my girlfriend, I work late so I can never get out until 6-7. Even tho I made it RIGHT near closing the employees was still super super excited and grateful to help her pick a board. They even offered to set up the whole board and grip it!! I’ve been coming here for years and never had a bad experience but this put the nail in the coffin. The service here is amazing and the help you receive is even better because it comes from real skaters.I defo recommend recess to everybody looking to buy?

Great place to shop with a variety of products and an outstanding service. Little bit on pricey side (but that’s what you can expect while shopping last minute for snow outfit). Although, really great experience shopping there. I truly recommend it to everyone.

This was my first stop, and ended up being my last stop. I went to nearly every shop in the area and always felt like someone was pushing a certain board or another on me for my son. ultimately I returned here because I was presented with a few options but left to let him pick which one he wanted. I went home after an exhausting night of shopping around and researched the options I was given independently returned to Recess the following morning and he went to the rack and grabbed the exact board I had sort of landed on (without a word from me) saying "I thought about things after you guys left and this is the board I think will serve him best." low pressure super knowledgeable and great service. don't waste time and gas just go straight here and get your next ride and gear.
