Hours say they close at 12 but they always close early, 3 times now I’ve walked to Phil’s at 1130 and they’ve left early.

In the old days, this place was renown for the coldest beer and the cheapest alcohol and cigarettes in general.However, not only do you get someone who ignores customers in favor of personal phone conversations, you get extremely high prices.This place used to be cheap, but now local grocery stores and even Earth Fare are now cheaper. The guy who works there now is rude and acts like doing his job is an inconvenience with respect to his phone conversations.

The staff was friendly. The beer I bought for my father-in-law was way overpriced though. Pretty disappointed with that. I also asked to use the bathroom and was told no because of the Covid-19. At this point, I don't know if I buy in with that as justification for not allowing a paying customer bathroom access.

I've been coming here for like 5 years and I've always been given great service. This may sound odd but Phil's is the best convenience store in NC.

They sell fake juul pods. They don't have a set price for the fake pods. Sometimes they will charge $22, sometimes $16. Pretty dirty inside and outside too.

The people that work here are pretty toxic. The average 5 year old has more professionalism and communication skills than these people. The only thing keeping them in business are the local college kids desperate for cheap booze.

This is a classic stop in Boone and for App State students. You can purchase t-shirts. There's a drive thru. The same few people work there, and they're always nice. They give your dog treats sometimes when you go through the drive thru. Enough said.
